Case oriented supervision in community based work teams (SGB II-ARGE) for social security and labour-market integration Case oriented supervision can be seen as an interesting field of work full of new perspectives for supervisors. However, it is essential that there is the readiness and ability to link with a complex and dynamic administrative system. Well thought out working concepts and customer-oriented behaviour support the implementation within the organization. The members of staff highly welcome the new instrument and value its efficiency. Special attention in this context should be paid to feedback loops with the management so that case oriented supervision can be sensibly connected with organizational development and personal training. This can best be achieved by organizing a round table with all consultants and leading personnel.  相似文献

Coaching for executives in social work – an empirical study on consultancy needs. Executives in social work see themselves under special demands to balance the necessity to cope with public cost cutting requirements on the one hand and the design of organization structures which are to master future challenges on the other. In order to adapt coaching to the consultancy needs in this field, 96 executives working in social facilities in Thuringia were interviewed with a view to their potential consultancy needs, in particular with respect to their management functions and leadership challenges. This investigation showed a high degree of acceptance for coaching and differentiated consultancy needs in the dilemma between economization and quality oriented social work. A preliminary competence profile for coaching personnel is derived thereof.  相似文献

Every large management organization undergoes the cyclic progress of planning, programming, budgeting, and rating of work tasks of projects to be accomplished by priority in the light of resource constraints controlling personnel strenghts and operating funds by fiscal periods. This is true, especially of governmental departments that are commodity oriented. There must be some ultimate goal of fine grain visibility that management can attempt to achieve or at least approach in order for the functional directors within the organization structure to relate and report most readily to provide required data for proficient resource management. Two essential requirements are visibility and integrated reporting as herein prescribed. Following the ascertainment of resource requirements in the light of projected work effort, some logical procedure should be employed in the rationale of resource adjustments. A large-scale forest cutting schedule problem involving 1166 forest units to be cut over a 24–year planning period is discussed. The problem is formulated as a generalized version of the basic transportation problem. The conversion procedure for such a problem to the standard transportation format is outlined. The proposed approach is then compared with a linear programming decomposition approach on the basis of operating results obtained and computer time required by each approach. It is shown that this new approach will solve a real world problem about 40 times faster than the usual linear programming decomposition approach.  相似文献

Corporate environmental/sustainability reporting is a growing trend among top global companies. In many cases, these reports have been made available online. Although the internet has provided reporting companies with a new channel to convey environmental information to the public, effective use of this media requires careful thought.Usability is a primary consideration that is not being addressed in many online corporate environmental/sustainability reports (CER). Often, these reports are difficult for users to locate from the corporate homepage, the search option does not render the correct page, some are only available in PDF format, and navigation within the report can be difficult. Current online reporting can also be ineffective if the technology is not oriented towards a framework of maximizing stakeholder value.If approached properly, internet technology allows for interactivity between a company and its stakeholders, provision of real-time updates of information and specialized information retrieval depending on the needs of users. This paper focuses on the current state of online CER reporting and suggests methods and practices for enhancing stakeholder value.  相似文献

Based on a comprehensive review of literature, the paper examines how ‘managerial work’ as a fluid analytical category has been approached methodologically, theoretically and empirically for more than 60 years. In particular, it highlights the existence of competing scholarly understandings regarding its nature, performance, meaning and politics. The authors suggest that subsequent empirical investigations have too often worked, methodologically and theoretically, to slot in, and thus effectively reduce, the term to a particular pre‐existing box, rather than exploring open‐endedly the what and how, but also the why of ‘managerial work’ as a distinct mode of situated ordering. Having represented the concept's past and present by identifying four distinct research approaches reflected in representative publications, the authors suggest that more attention should be devoted to a mode of analytical departure that promises to address directly the suggested shortcomings in the literature. Specifically, it is argued that much could be gained if contemporary notions of practice were brought into the study of managerial work. To this end, the authors outline the contours of a practice‐based approach as a sensitizing framework for understanding managerial work by highlighting the situated, relational, sociomaterial, meaning‐making and consequence‐oriented analytical foci the approach suggests, and suggesting a number of conjoint research questions, as well as acknowledging subsequent limitations.  相似文献

This article introduces the concept of combinative aspects of leadership style, which addresses elements of leadership style such as the ordering and temporal spacing of leadership behaviors. The major purpose is to show that perceptions of leadership are influenced by the manner in which leadership behaviors are combined. Different combinations of task-oriented leadership statements and socioemotionally oriented leadership statements were examined. All of the participants were full-time employees. In all three of the studies, combinative aspects of leadership style clearly influenced perceptions of leadership statements. The findings indicate that task-oriented leadership should not be provided without socioemotional leadership and that socioemotionally oriented leadership should generally be provided immediately before task-oriented leadership. Further work is needed to investigate the applicability of combinative aspects of leadership style to components of transactional and transformational leadership.  相似文献

Assembly by robot is destined to have a major international impact over the next few years, yet the optimal design, analysis and economic evaluation of a potential robotic assembly application is currently extremely difficult. On looking at the current state-of-the-art in each stage of the hierarchy which a prospective robotic assembly project must pass through, it becomes clear that the whole procedure is closely analogous to attempting to paint an ‘ideal’ picture—both from the point of view of tasks which must be performed and also the level of complexity involved. Unfortunately, unlike with painting, there is not yet any wealth of experience on which roboticists can draw in their quest for ‘ideal’ assembly. Nevertheless, work at Imperial College aims at systematically uncovering some of the underlying principles of robotic assembly which if left to discovery through trial and error might take years—years which industry simply does not have.  相似文献

We examine the interrelationships among executive compensation, environmental‐social‐governance‐based (ESG) sustainable compensation policy, carbon performance and market value. Using one of the largest datasets to date, consisting of 4379 firm‐year observations, covering a period of 15 years (2002–2016) from 13 industrialized European countries and insights from neo‐institutional theory (NIT), our findings are fourfold. First, our results suggest that process‐oriented carbon performance is positively associated with market value, whereas actual carbon performance has no effect on market value. Second, we show that the market value–process‐oriented carbon performance nexus is moderated by executive compensation. Third, our results indicate that executive compensation has a positive effect on process‐oriented carbon performance, but has no similar effect on actual carbon performance. Fourth, we show that the process‐oriented carbon performance–executive compensation nexus is reinforced for companies that adopt ESG‐based sustainable compensation policy. Our results are generally robust to controlling for governance mechanisms, alternative measures/estimations and endogeneities. Overall, our evidence supports the legitimization aspect of NIT and suggests that the market tends to reward firms with superior process‐oriented carbon performance instead of undervaluing firms with excessive actual carbon emissions. This implies that firms appear to use incentive‐based mechanisms to symbolically improve their process‐oriented carbon performance without substantively improving their actual carbon performance.  相似文献

Abstract

The paper deals with different viewpoints in product structuring knowledge. Special interest is paid to a new viewpoint called control structure. The necessity for such a concept is based on the penetration of product oriented manufacturing systems (factories, workshops and cells) together with the related distribution of production management decision making. Control structure is an aggregated control oriented viewpoint on the product structure hiding the details of the work operations and materials requirements at the lower levels of decision making. Thus control structures are also intended for the integration and loosely coupled co-ordination of control units. The paper also strongly advocates the application of interactive graphics in the manipulation of product structure information. A practical system developed is demonstrated as a vehicle for implementing the concepts introduced.  相似文献

Examples of the work of the gender equality unit of the City of Munich The structures of organizations and of co-operation in the workplace are gendered. To plan successfully their career advancement, women should analyze the gendered framework of their workplace and include the facts in their strategic considerations. Women who visit the gender equality unit of the City of Munich with problems in the workplace are oriented in this direction. This paper gives a short introduction in the idea of counselling. The implementation is illustrated by four examples. Case work is complementary to a strategic approach developing employment equality for women.  相似文献

Assigning aircraft to gates is an important decision problem that airport professionals face every day. The solution of this problem has raised a significant research effort and many variants of this problem have been studied. In this paper, we review past work with a focus on identifying types of formulations, classifying objectives, and categorising solution methods. The review indicates that there is no standard formulation, that passenger oriented objectives are most common, and that more recent work are multi-objective. In terms of solution methods, heuristic and metaheuristic approaches are dominant which provides an opportunity to develop exact and approximate approaches both for the single and multi-objective problems.  相似文献

Case oriented supervision in groups and teams: Potential Problems of Psychodramatic role-playingCase-oriented supervision is seen as promoting variety in perspectives upon cases. This relates to various levels (client-helper, team dynamics, institutional dynamics) and is a means of generating insights and new ways of working. Psychodramatic Role-playing is directed at broadening perspectives. Since it has become a widespread procedure in supervision some problems inherent in this are described. Psychodramatic role-playing is based upon group cohesion. Dramatic production itself leads by to ?prägnant“ solutions and gives a directive role to the supervisor. Hence the procedure can be inappropriate for groups in a timid or scapegoating phase. Furthermore it can be used to evade painful insights and the director can become the group leader. These problems are intensified in teams. Some proposals for dealing with these problems are presented. The question whether the illusion of feasibility is a general problem in supervision is broached.  相似文献

Reflection on professional practices? Yes, but how? An empirical study on Supervision in academic education at Universities for Social Work in Germany Supervision today is a common element of the studies of Social Work nowadays. The question of what should be the contents and aims of learning in relation to supervision vary however. Often supervision in academic education is an appendix of a more theory based curriculum, or it is a central hinge between theory and practice. The members of the teaching stuff are often internal lecturers without special skills in relation to supervision, or otherwise they are trained supervisors without skills in relation to the application of social work The payment for external supervisors often considerably falls short of the market prices. Empirical studies on the impact of supervision in relation to the development of professional skills for the social practices of social work and the professional identity are missing.  相似文献
