优化教学管理,提高教学质量探讨

提高教学质量是高等学校工作永恒的主题,教学管理是学校全部工作的中心环节。而优化教学管理的最终目的是保证和提高教学质量。文章从更新教育观念,树立正确的质量观,建立完善的教学质量监控以及教学管理体制和各项规章制度三个方面探讨如何优化教学管理,以达到全面提高教育教学质量的目的。     

关于大学英语教学中文化教学的思考

大学英语教学是语言教学和文化教学的结合,纯粹教授语言知识,缺乏对西方文化的了解,无法培养学生的跨文化交际能力。因此,在大学英语教学中文化教学不容忽视。文章以此为理念探讨了大学英语教学中文化教学的重要性及实施途径和方法。     

Teaching Statistics

This article compares grades earned by incoming MSW students in traditional classroom-based statistics courses and those taught using software-based content and no regular classes. Traditional-learning students earned high grades overall, regardless of prior undergraduate grade point average (GPA). Students in the electronic-learning course with high GPAs performed as well as students in the regular course. However, electronic-learning students with low GPAs earned lower course grades than students with high GPAs who took the same course and students in the traditional course, regardless of their GPA. Findings suggest students can learn statistics successfully in a programmed instruction/distance education course; however, some might need additional assistance or do better in a traditional format.

合作学习教学模式在网球教学中的实验研究

通过对网球合作学习教学模式的实验研究,发现合作学习教学模式比常规网球教学模式更有利于提高学生的理论水平,增强学生发现问题、分析问题、解决问题的能力;对改善同学关系、建立师生融洽关系及提高网球学习兴趣有明显促进作用;更有利于提高学生的合作意识、创新意识,促进学生积极主动学习与交流,从而促进网球教学质量的提高。     

“任务驱动”教学法在高职测量实践教学中的应用探讨

任务驱动教学法是一种以实践为导向,以任务为驱动的教学模式,教师的教学与学生的学习都是围绕一个目标,基于几项任务来完成的,适合于培养学生的自学能力以及独立分析问题和解决问题的能力,尤其适用于测量学这样一门以实践操作为主的课程。     

我国大豆期货价格与现货价格关系研究

期货市场是国民经济中的重要组成部分,具有价格发现、规避风险和资产配置的功能。本文的研究建立在价格决定理论、合理预期理论和仓储理论基础之上,首先,对我国大豆产业和期货市场的现状进行概括和描述;其次,以黄大豆1号为研究对象,借助相关性分析、ADF检验、协整检验、Granger检验、误差修正模型等实证方法来研究期货价格和现货价格之间的动态关系。实证研究结论表明:期货价格和现货价格高度相关,大豆的现货价格影响期货价格,但影响不具有双向性,说明在我国大豆期货市场上价格发现功能的发挥效率偏低。     

Teaching Community Organizing

Abstract

In this article, our experiences as professor and students will form the basis of reflection on the use of innovative teaching methods in a community organizing course. Based on student evaluations and participant observation, we discuss the role of creativity in enhancing the learning experience in a case example of this one course. Findings indicate that reliance on innovative teaching methods provides students with the opportunity to exercise their creativity. In turn, this creativity has a potentially positive impact on community practice.     

Teaching Family Therapy

Family therapy is a distinctive treatment modality, differing in techniques, objectives, and problem definitions from other modalities. Integrating it into a social work curriculum poses several difficulties because of this fact. In this paper several themes in the training literature are isolated and problems associated with assisting learners to shift their practice orientation from individuals to families are discussed     

Teaching Family Policy

Abstract

Preparing students to engage in family policy education and advocacy is a challenge and opportunity for departments that teach family studies and family policy courses. Students not only need to know theoretical implications of family policy and how research enhances the theory, but also understand the policy process and how research-based information about family can inform policymaking. These students also need to acquire advocacy skills in order to work effectively in different policy arenas. This article illustrates how university family policy educators can structure curricula to provide students with both knowledge and skills vital to effective participation in family policy formation, analysis and critique.

Teaching international demography

"I describe a course on international demography in this paper. The course enables students to use demographic concepts to understand the demographics of various countries and regions. The course involves an introduction, examination of specific geographic regions, and a concluding overview. I also describe several student projects and review available course materials."     

浅析项目教学法在《影视数字编辑》教学中的实践

分析了项目教学法的内涵,以及《影视数字编辑》课程教学中存在的问题,提出了项目教学法在视频编辑课程教学中的应用。将项目教学法运用到实践教学环节,能提高学生的动手能力、解决实际问题的能力,同时也要求教师具有较高的素质。     

North Central Sociological Association 2018 Teaching Address: John F. Schnabel Lecture Teaching as Mentoring; Mentoring as Teaching

Graduate student mentoring is widely considered a critical element of postbaccalaureate education, yet the mentoring of undergraduates is a frequently neglected topic in academic discourse. The benefits of mentoring are all too often reaped by only a small group of students who demonstrate academic promise. Yet the impact of mentoring on undergraduate student persistence is resoundingly positive, especially for students in the academic middle and the students most at risk of abandoning the pursuit of higher education. Much of the academic discussion of mentoring undergraduate students focuses on the possibilities presented via independent research projects, academic advising, and more formal mentoring programs. Although substantial debate exists regarding what mentoring is, and how or whether it is achievable en masse, I propose that teaching itself can exist as a form of mentoring, and vice versa, especially within the small liberal arts university environment.
