Reclaiming the Emotional Aspects of the Therapist-Family System

The shift from first to second order cybernetics has made the concept of the therapist-family system part of the everyday discourse of family therapy. In spite of this shift, there is little focus in family therapy literature on the emotional aspects of the therapist-family system. Relevant process concepts available to us at present, such as induction or accommodation, are poorly defined and inadequate. Three reasons for the neglect of the emotional aspects of family therapy are explored. They are, firstly, more recent theoretical and technical directions, secondly, the politics of gender and thirdly, the enduring difficulty of working with and writing about our own and families' powerful emotions. Finally, following a case example, some psychoanalytic concepts are described and discussed. It is possible that concepts such as counter-transference and projective identification may enrich family therapists' understanding of what is happening within the therapist-family system.

我国的未成年人司法制度尚处于初期阶段,还未制定适合未成年人刑事审判的实体法和程序法.应当对犯罪未成年人引进暂缓起诉制度,实施社会调查制度、未成年犯的前科消灭制度、合适成年人参与制度以及严格适用简易程序等制度,系统构建我国的未成年人司法制度,以加强对未成年人合法权益的保障.

Improving Functioning of the Remarried Family System

This report presents salient issues for therapists in understanding and treating the remarried (Rem, second, blended, reconstituted or step) family. The structure of the remarried family is differentiated from that of the intact family. Specific treatment goals for Rem families are elaborated and various treatment modalities advocated. The need to include former spouses and to consider the meta family system are discussed. Common reactions and difficulties engendered in therapists when working with Rem systems are explicated.

The Companion Animal in the Context of the Family System

The nature and possible value of the bond between humans and fhcir companion animals has bcgun to receive attention frorn'professionals involved in thc behavioral sciences and in health care. A few investigators have specifically addrcsscd the question of the role of thc companion animal in the family system. This review sunimarizcs a number of studies dcaling with the relationship of companion animals with humans at different stagcs of life, as well as research conccrning the possible role of the companion animal in both the functional and dysfunctional family system. The review concludes with an cvaluation and discussion of research to date and suggestions for future investigations.     

The Position of the Customs Law in the Legal System

The article considers the position of customs law in the legal system. It starts with changes concerning the phenomenon known as customs policy. The customs policy of the European Union is a foundation of the Union and an essential element in the functioning of the single market. All these changes have to be regulated by law; one of the branches is financial law. It represents a system of legal rules regulating the social and economic relationships that emerge in the process of generating, distributing, and using the centralised and decentralised monetary funds (financial resources) in the environment of the state and of self-governing administrative units, in the interest of providing for financial coverage of the fulfilment of their respective functions. The Slovak legal system and its individual branches including financial law can be characterised on the basis of certain principles. These represent basic goals, rules, and requirements expressing the substance and main focus of a particular branch of law. These principles are described. The second part of the article concerns the position of customs law, which here represents a system of legal rules regulating the social and economic relationships emerging in the process of movement of goods over the customs border. Customs law has its own development and is given a new dimension and dynamics by the common European area in the form of the European Union. The article concludes with the position of customs law, defining it as a subsection of financial law.
