Abstract

This review article is based on N. J. Demerath, III, Otto Larsen, and Karl Schuessler (eds.), Social Policy and Sociology (New York: Academic Press, 1975). Professor Angrist is associate professor of sociology in Carnegie-Mellon University's School of Urban and Public Affairs. She is also the current president of the North Central Sociological Association, and she has chosen the theme of the 1976 NCSA convention as the title of this article. [Eds.]
