Empirical research demonstrate changes in the West-German student milieu, which we interpret as a shift from ?non conformity“ towards a ?new conformity“. Students in the 1990s originated from a political-center background more often than hedonistic-alternative milieus. They were more often showing interest in the academic-mundane and job-oriented, rather than the academic-intellectual and hedonistic ways of studying. Much of these findings point to a ?re-centralisation“ of university studentship. This puts recent university reformations which stem from misleading differentiating arguments, into a critical light. A policy of discerning scholarly concerns from organisational questions is suggested to enable as many as possible to participate in education and professional training.  相似文献

Have today’s students really changed compared to previous generations? Considering the social and/or psychological problems brought forth at the counselling services of their universities, the answer is a clear ?no“. Empirical studies over the last three decades indicate that the typical strains placed by life at the university are still very much predominant. The significance of these problems — including motivational problems, indecisiveness, fear of failure and lack of achievement — should however not be underestimated. If not treated by early counselling, they can impair the process of personality and identity development. Over the years the demand for psychological counselling has grown and become more customary. Specialized psychological treatments have been developed. At our Counselling Services at the Freie Universität of Berlin the students show especially much interest in work groups, which offer a fruitful frame for psychosocial learning as well as practicing and improving their academic skills.  相似文献

Based on stress-and resource-theories in a questionnaire study (N = 110) the effects of supervision on the development of job-related resources, perceived control and self-efficacy against job-strains are examined at employees of ambulant psychiatric institutions. The results show perceived improvements by supervision especially for the factors “professional resources” and “social support by colleagues/management”. Specific relationships between these factors and characteristics of the setting as well as the supervisors and the subjects are evident. Above all, perceived improvements of “professional resources” correlate with higher supervision-satisfaction, improvements of the job-situation, control and self-efficacy. On the other hand, the factor “social support by colleagues/management” plays a smaller role. The assumed positive correlation between indicators of health and the factors “control” and “self-efficacy against job-stress” could not be confirmed.  相似文献
