Scaling up the Quality of Care Approach

Like the pilot project, the scaling up of the quality of care approach is also new in China and requires continued research and exploration. Chinese Accounts for Nearly One-Tenth of the World''''s Illiterates

Statistics released by the Ministry of Education of China revealed that currently nearly one-tenth of the world抯 illiterate population are Chinese. 90% of them are rural residents, half live in the western region and 70% are women. Thanks to the unremitting efforts China has made over the past decades, the adult illiteracy rate has declined from 22.23% a decade ago to present 8.72%.
