In this article, we propose a new mixed chain sampling plan based on the process capability index Cpk, where the quality characteristic of interest having double specification limits and follows the normal distribution with unknown mean and variance. In the proposed mixed plan, the chain sampling inspection plan is used for the inspection of attribute quality characteristics. The advantages of this proposed mixed sampling plan are also discussed. Tables are constructed to determine the optimal parameters for practical applications by formulating the problem as a non linear programming in which the objective function to be minimized is the average sample number and the constraints are related to lot acceptance probabilities at acceptable quality level and limiting quality level under the operating characteristic curve. The practical application of the proposed mixed sampling plan is explained with an illustrative example. Comparison of the proposed sampling plan is also made with other existing sampling plans.  相似文献

This article proposes a new mixed variable lot-size multiple dependent state sampling plan in which the attribute sampling plan can be used in the first stage and the variables multiple dependent state sampling plan based on the process capability index will be used in the second stage for the inspection of measurable quality characteristics. The proposed mixed plan is developed for both symmetric and asymmetric fraction non conforming. The optimal plan parameters can be determined by considering the satisfaction levels of the producer and the consumer simultaneously at an acceptable quality level and a limiting quality level, respectively. The performance of the proposed plan over the mixed single sampling plan based on Cpk and the mixed variable lot size plan based on Cpk with respect to the average sample number is also investigated. Tables are constructed for easy selection of plan parameters for both symmetric and asymmetric fraction non conforming and real world examples are also given for the illustration and practical implementation of the proposed mixed variable lot-size plan.  相似文献

An acceptance sampling plan is a method used to make a decision about acceptance or rejection of a product, based on adherence to a standard. Meanwhile, process capability indices (PCIs) have been applied in different manufacturing industries as capability measures based on specified criteria which include process departure from a target, process consistency, process yield and process loss. In this paper, a repetitive group sampling (RGS) plan based on PCI is introduced for variables’ inspection. First, the optimal parameters of the developed RGS plan are obtained considering constraints related to the risk of consumers and producers and also a double sampling plan, a multiple dependent state sampling plan and a sampling plan for resubmitted lots have been designed. Finally, after the development of variable sampling plans based on the Bayesian and exact approach, a comparison study has been performed between the developed RGS plan and other types of sampling plans and the results are elaborated.  相似文献

This article presents an optimization-based approach for the design of acceptance sampling plans by variables for controlling nonconforming proportions when the standard deviation is unknown. The variables are described by rigorous noncentral Student’s t-distributions. Single and double acceptance sampling (AS) plans are addressed. The optimal design results from minimizing the average sampling number (ASN), subject to conditions holding at producer’s and consumer’s required quality levels. The problem is then solved employing a nonlinear programming solver. The results obtained are in close agreement with previous sampling plans found in the literature, outperforming them regarding the feasibility.  相似文献

In this paper, a new mixed sampling plan based on the process capability index (PCI) Cpk is proposed and the resultant plan is called mixed variable lot-size chain sampling plan (ChSP). The proposed mixed plan comprises of both attribute and variables inspections. The variable lot-size sampling plan can be used for inspection of attribute quality characteristics and for the inspection of measurable quality characteristics, the variables ChSP based on PCI will be used. We have considered both symmetric and asymmetric fraction non conforming cases for the variables ChSP. Tables are developed for determining the optimal parameters of the proposed mixed plan based on two points on the operating characteristic (OC) approach. In order to construct the tables, the problem is formulated as a non linear programming where the average sample number function is considered as an objective function to be minimized and the lot acceptance probabilities at acceptable quality level and limiting quality level under the OC curve are considered as constraints. The practical implementation of the proposed mixed sampling plan is explained with an illustrative real time example. Advantages of the proposed sampling plan are also discussed in terms of comparison with other existing sampling plans.  相似文献

Acceptance sampling is a quality assurance tool, which provides a rule for the producer and the consumer to make acceptance or rejection decision about a lot. This paper attempts to develop a more efficient sampling plan, variables repetitive group sampling plan, based on the total loss to the producer and consumer. To design this model, two constraints are considered to satisfy the opposing priorities and requirements of the producer and the consumer by using Acceptable quality level (AQL) and Limiting quality level (LQL) points on operating characteristic (OC) curve. The objective function of this model is constructed based on the total expected loss. In order to illustrate the application of the proposed model, an example is presented. In addition, the effects of process parameters on the optimal solution and the total expected loss are studied by performing a sensitivity analysis. Finally, the efficiency of the proposed model is compared with the variables single sampling plan, the variables double sampling plan and the repetitive group sampling plan of Balamurali and Jun (2006) in terms of average sample number, total expected loss and its difference with ideal OC curve.  相似文献

This paper introduces a double and group acceptance sampling plans based on time truncated lifetimes when the lifetime of an item follows the inverse log-logistic (ILL) distribution with known shape parameter. The operating characteristic function and average sample number (ASN) values of the double acceptance sampling inspection plan are provided. The values of the minimum number of groups and operating characteristic function for various quality levels are obtained for a group acceptance sampling inspection plan. A comparative study between single acceptance sampling inspection plan and double acceptance sampling inspection plan is carried out in terms of sample size. One simulated example and four real-life examples are discussed to show the applicability of the proposed double and group acceptance sampling inspection plans for ILL distributed quality parameters.  相似文献

In this study, we propose three new sampling plans based on yield index CpuA for linear profiles with one-sided specifications, including the resubmitted sampling plan, the repetitive group sampling plan, and the multiple dependent state repetitive sampling plan. The operating characteristic functions of our proposed sampling plans are developed. The plan parameters of our proposed sampling plans are determined through nonlinear optimization. The plan parameters are reported for various combinations of acceptable quality level and limiting quality level. The three sampling plans are compared with the existing single sampling plan in terms of the average sample number. A real example is used to illustrate the applications.  相似文献

In this article designing of acceptance sampling plans for the truncated life test is proposed using economic approach by assuming that the lifetime of a product follows Frechet distribution based on median. The optimal sampling plans to meet the consumer’s confidence level with minimum total cost are designed. Efficiency of the proposed plan is also analyzed.  相似文献

Various continuous sampling plans have been proposed for monitoring the quality of continuous production processes. The multi-level continuous sampling plan of MIL-STD-1235C (1988) is designated as CSP-T Plan. CSP-T plan is a three-level tightened continuous sampling plan. It requires a switch to 100% inspection, at any level, whenever a nonconforming unit is found. This provides quick rectification in the event of a shift in quality. In this paper certain performance characteristics of CSP-T plan are derived using the approach of Stephens (1979) under the assumption that the production process is in statistical control. For the selection of CSP-T plans, two tables are given. These tables can be used to obtain parameters i (clearance interval) and f (sampling fraction) of the CSP-T plan for given acceptable quality level (AQL) with producer’ risk α=0.05 or the limiting quality level(LQL) with consumer’ risk β=0.10 and the outgoing quality limit(AOQL). Two examples are also given to illustrate the selection of plans from these tables  相似文献

This paper proposes a quick switching sampling system for the inspection of attributes quality characteristics for resubmitted lots. The optimal parameters for both fraction non conforming items and fraction non conformities of the proposed sampling system are determined using an optimization procedure so that producer’s risk and consumer’s risk are simultaneously satisfied. Tables are also constructed for the selection of parameters for specified AQL and LQL. The advantage of the proposed plan over the existing plan is discussed and illustrate. An economic design of the proposed sampling system is also discussed and shown that the proposed sampling system has minimum total cost and average total inspection compared to other existing sampling plans.  相似文献

For the implementation of an acceptance sampling plan, a problem the quality practitioners have to deal with is the determination of the critical acceptance values and inspection sample sizes that provide the desired levels of protection to both vendors and buyers. Traditionally, most acceptance sampling plans focus on the percentage of defective products instead of considering the process loss, which doesn't distinguish among the products that fall within the specification limits. However, the quality between products that fall within the specification limits may be very different. So how to design an acceptance sampling plan with process loss consideration is necessary. In this article, a variables sampling plan based on L e is proposed to handle processes requiring low process loss. The required sample sizes n and the critical acceptance value c with various combination of acceptance quality level are tabulated. The proposed sampling plan provides a feasible policy, which can be applied to products requiring low process loss where classical sampling plans cannot be applied.  相似文献

We study variable sampling plans for exponential distributions based on type-I hybrid censored samples. For this problem, two sampling plans based on the non-failure sample proportion and the conditional maximum likelihood estimator are proposed by Chen et al. [J. Chen, W. Chou, H. Wu, and H. Zhou, Designing acceptance sampling schemes for life testing with mixed censoring, Naval Res. Logist. 51 (2004), pp. 597–612] and Lin et al. [C.-T. Lin, Y.-L. Huang, and N. Balakrishnan, Exact Bayesian variable sampling plans for the exponential distribution based on type-I and type-II censored samples, Commun. Statist. Simul. Comput. 37 (2008), pp. 1101–1116], respectively. From the theoretic decision point of view, the preceding two sampling plans are not optimal due to their decision functions not being the Bayes decision functions. In this article, we consider the decision theoretic approach, and the optimal Bayesian sampling plan based on sufficient statistics is derived under a general loss function. Furthermore, for the conjugate prior distribution, the closed-form formula of the Bayes decision rule can be obtained under either the linear or quadratic decision loss. The resulting Bayesian sampling plan has the minimum Bayes risk, and hence it is better than the sampling plans proposed by Chen et al. (2004) and Lin et al. (2008). Numerical comparisons are given and demonstrate that the performance of the proposed Bayesian sampling plan is superior to that of Chen et al. (2004) and Lin et al. (2008).  相似文献

A multiple state repetitive group sampling (MSRGS) plan is developed on the basis of the coefficient of variation (CV) of the quality characteristic which follows a normal distribution with unknown mean and variance. The optimal plan parameters of the proposed plan are solved by a nonlinear optimization model, which satisfies the given producer's risk and consumer's risk at the same time and minimizes the average sample number required for inspection. The advantages of the proposed MSRGS plan over the existing sampling plans are discussed. Finally an example is given to illustrate the proposed plan.  相似文献

A new mixed sampling plan which is a combination of the attribute single sampling plan and variables resampling scheme based on EWMA statistic is proposed in this paper. The operating characteristic function of the proposed plan is derived and the plan parameters are determined such that the probability of acceptance of good lot is larger than the specified producer's confidence level and the bad lot acceptance probability is smaller than the consumer's confidence level. The efficiency and the advantages of the proposed plan are discussed over the existing attribute sampling plan. The extensive tables are provided for industrial applications. The use of tables is discussed with the help of a real-time industrial example.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

The paper investigates the design of single and sequential variable acceptance sampling plans for a mixture distribution. Mixture distributions are seen in many practical problems such as life testing experiments of electronic components and clinical trials. The sampling plans for this kind of situations are not well addressed in the literature. We first propose a single sampling plan for a distribution which is a mixture of two exponential distributions. An optimization problem which minimizes the total cost of testing at given producer's and consumer's risks is solved to obtain the plan parameters. Two different sequential sampling plans are also defined and plan parameters are obtained by solving corresponding optimization problems. Finally, a case study, a simulation study and a sensitivity analysis are presented to illustrate our sampling plans.  相似文献

Skip-lot sampling plan is often applied in industries for reducing the cost and effort of the inspection of the product having excellent quality history. Consequence of skip-lot sampling plans is to reduce the cost of inspection so which are more attractive in economical aspect. In this paper, we develop a sampling plan by incorporating the idea of resampling in two-level skip lot sampling plan and the new plan is designated as SkSP-2L.1-R. This paper presents the Markov chain formulation of the proposed plan along with the derivation of performance measures of the plan. We also provide the designing methodology to determine the optimal parameters of the SkSP-2L.1-R plan so as to minimize the average sample number by using two points on the operating characteristic curve approach. By contemplating various combinations of producer and consumer quality levels along with respective risks, a table is constructed to determine the optimal parameters. An industrial application of the proposed SkSP-2L.1-R plan is discussed. The SkSP-2L.1-R with single sampling plan as a reference plan is compared with the conventional single sampling plan, SkSP-2 plan and SkSP-2-R plan and proved that the proposed SkSP-2L.1-R plan outperforms these plans.KEYWORDS: Consumer quality level, average sample number, producer quality level, resampling scheme, skip-lot sampling  相似文献

Repetitive group sampling procedure for variables inspection   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
This paper introduces the concept of repetitive group sampling (RGS) for variables inspection. The repetitive group sampling plan for variables inspection will be useful when testing is costly and destructive. The advantages of the variables RGS plan over variables single sampling plan, variables double sampling plan and attributes RGS plan are discussed. Tables are also constructed for the selection of parameters of known and unknown standard deviation variables repetitive group sampling plan indexed by acceptable quality level and limiting quality level.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the Birnbaum–Saunders distribution as a life model to develop various acceptance sampling schemes based on the truncated life tests. We develop the double sampling plan and determine the design parameters satisfying both the producer's and consumer's risks simultaneously for the specified reliability levels in terms of the mean ratio to the specified life. We also propose a group sampling plan and determine the parameters by the above-mentioned two-point method. Tables are constructed for the proposed sampling plans and results are explained with examples.  相似文献
