Visual Mao Zedong and new world order

This study explores the ideological contentions about peace behind the contrasting projections of Mao Zedong’s images, especially his standard portraits, and photos of him and Western leaders (including those of the Soviet Union directly or indirectly). The analyses focus on the complicated spectatorship of Mao Zedong’s images in the international activisms that were intended to change the political power structure of the world. This involves the contradictory visualisations from both the socialist and capitalist ideologies. From Nixon’s visits to Mao Zedong and Gorbachev’s visit to the Portrait of Mao Zedong in the 1989 student movement, the concepts of nationalism and internationalism, new world order, and Mao Zedong’s theories of contradiction and three worlds are examined to better understand the visual realities of ‘peaceful evolution’.

Numerical Simulation on Effects of Different Film Cooling Holes on Plate

为了研究不同孔型对平板气膜冷却的影响,针对圆形,扇形,水滴形,收敛缝形四种气膜出流孔型的流动和传热特性进行了数值模拟。研究结果表明,圆形孔、扇形孔和水滴形孔气膜出口下游出现从中心向上抬升的反向旋转涡对,将主流燃气卷吸进来;收敛缝形孔在侧向的扩张型面使得气膜出流在展向的覆盖更为均匀,这有效地阻止了高温气体的侵入;在相同吹风比下,收敛缝形孔在气膜出口附近区域的平均绝热冷却效率则明显要高于其余三种孔,随着吹风比的增大,这种差距越发明显;孔型对对流换热系数增强比的影响区域仅局限在邻近气膜孔出口大约7倍气膜孔径的范围内。      

论和谐而有中国特色的民族概念

本文与《论中国特色的民族概念》一文对话:1949年以前,汉语“民族”一词和包括它的词素在内的古典民族概念表达形式构成了数千年生生不息的自组织系统,这个系统使得近现代舶来的西方民族概念纷纷本土化;1949—1989时期,毛泽东在斯大林模式干扰中保留了民族概念的中国话语权,费孝通在改革开放条件下创立了“中华民族多元一体格局”理论;1989年以后,封闭体系的解构和多元争鸣促进了中国民族理论的耗散变化,这一时期流行的“族群”可以看成中国民族概念系统中的一个分形元。最后从和谐系统的高度,给出满足国家语境、民间习惯、历史传统三个条件的定义:民族是人们在社会复杂作用下通过历史渊源或现实利益等多元认同而形成的有特定的族称和相应的文化模式的自组织系统。
