Howard V. Davis, professor of Counselor Education, Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, came across the following selections while doing research into contributions of Hugo Münsterberg pertinent to vocational guidance. Davis identified the author as follows: Hugo Münsterberg, born and educated in Germany and brought to Harvard University in the 1890s by William James to develop the psychological laboratory there, is generally credited with being the father of industrial and applied psychology. His development of vocational tests and his work with the practical selection of workers for various occupations helped to produce some of the important principles of personnel selection and of vocational guidance. 相似文献
