Russian Women＇s Delegation VISITS China Invited by the All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF）,a three-member delegation of Russian women,haded by Svetlana Orlova,Vice-Chairperson of the Russian Federation Council,     

印度妇女组织联合代表团访华

Invited by the All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF）, a six-member delegation of Indian women, headed by Mrs. Gomathi Nair, President of the All India Women＇s Conference, visited Beijing and Shanghai from July 25-31, 2010. It was the first time that the ACWF had invited a non- governmental women＇s delegation from India to visit. During the visit, Meng Xiaosi, Vice-President and Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women＇s Federation, met members of the delegation. In Beijing, the delegation visited Wuzhou Women＇s Hospital and the grass-roots women＇s federation at Shijia Hutong, in Dongcheng District. In Shanghai, the delegation visited the Employment Promotion Center in Baoshan District. The guests also attended a work-experience- exchange meeting with Baoshan District Women＇s Federation, and they visited a pear orchard, the Shanghai Lilan Fashion Accessories Manufacturing Co., Ltd, and the Expo 2010 Shanghai China.

Chinese Delegation Attends CEDAW Meeting Which Considered Its 7th and 8th Combined Periodic Report

At the invitation of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization of h＇an and the Women＇s Council of the Republican Party of Armenia, Yu Hongqiu. Vice-President and Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women＇s Federation, headed a Chinese women＇s delegation during visits to lran and Armenia between October18-25,2014.     

第五届中美妇女领导者交流对话会在美召开

On the sidelines of the fourth round of the China-US High-Level Consultation on People-to-People Exchange, the Fifth China-US Women＇s Leadership Exchange and Dialogue （WLEAD Dialogue） was held, in the US, on November 21. The event, with the theme ＂Women, Science and Education,＂ was co-chaired by the All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF） and the US Secretary＇s Office of Global Women＇s Issues.     

Anti-drug Activities Held

The China Meets Egypt activity, organized by Beijing Women＇s Federation and the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt, was held on October 25 in the Haidian Women and Children＇s Activity Center in Beijing. Ma Lanxia, President of Beijing Women＇s Federation （BWF）, Zhou Zhijun, BWF＇s Vice-President, Magdy Amer, Egypt＇s Ambassador to China, and Karima Nasser AI-Saadi, wife of Abdullah Saleh AI-Saadi, the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to China, attended. Nearly 300 people, including students from Egypt and residents in Haidian District, participated.

The China Women＇s Business and Innovation Achievements Expo openedon June 18 in southeast China＇s Fujian Province. Vice-Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People＇s Congress and President of the All- China Women＇s Federation （ACWF） Chen Zhili attended the opening ceremony. She proclaimed the Expo open.

Invited by the president of Polish Women＇s League, a four-member delegation of Chinese women visited Poland and attended the event to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Polish Women＇s League from October 18-20, 2013. The delegation, headed by Mu Hong, Director-General of the International Department of the All-China Women＇s Federation, visited grass-roots organizations of Polish Women＇s League. A. Michalak, President of Polish Women＇s League, met with the delegation. Both sides shared their opinions on improving the friendly cooperation between Chinese and Polish women. The visit helped to renew the traditional friendship between ACWF and Polish Women＇s League.     

全国妇联权益部2010年工作思路

Guided bv the spirit of the 17th NPC （National People＇s Congress） and the Fourth Plenty Session of the 17th Central Committee of the CPC （Communist Party of China）, ACWF （All-China Women＇s Federation）＇s Legal Department, this year, will abide by the deployment of the 10th National Women＇s Congress of China.

Zimbabwean Women＇s Delegation Visits China
At the invitation of the All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF）, a sixmember women＇s delegation, headed by Theresa Makoni, Zimbabwean Public Works Minister and Women＇s Assembly Chairperson of the Zimbabwean Party Movement for Democratic Change, visited Beijing and Shanghai from November 2-11, 2009.

Protecting Women＇s Legal Rights, Interests
The All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF）, on January 3, 2014, held the symposium on Protecting Women＇s Legal Rights and Interests and Doing Practical Work to Benefit Women in Beijing. Shen Yueyue, Vice-Chairperson of the NPC （National People＇s Congress） Standing Committee and ACWF President, chaired the meeting. Song Xiuyan, Vice-President and First Member of the Secretariat of ACWF, several of ACWF＇s vice- presidents, and representatives of members of ACWF＇s standing committee and executive committee, attended.     

女科学家高层论坛在昆明举行

The Women Scientists＇ High-level Forum, organized by the Women Scientific and Technological Workers Committee, under the China Association for Science and Technology （CAST）, the China Women Scientific and Technological Workers Association, and the Yunnan Women＇s Federation, was held on May 23, 2014, in Kunming, capital of Southwest China＇s Yunnan Province. The forum was part of CAST＇s 16th annual meeting.     

全国妇联启动“家庭和美”短信、彩信征集活动

The All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF） oil March 7 （on the eve of International Women＇s Day） launched the activity of collecting both short and multimedia messages that dealt with the pro,notion of harmonious relations amongst family members. The activity was sponsored by ACWF, with support from China Women＇s News, Women of China Chinese monthly, and China Society for the Study of Marriage and Family.     

山西省妇联加强和创新妇联新闻宣传工作

A conference for officials of the Shanxi Women＇s Federation, and for editors and reporters from local media, was held by Shanxi Women＇s Federation in Taiyuan. capital of North China＇s Shanxi Province, on August 28. The conference was intended to help the officials （with responsibility for publicity）, editors and reporters improve their communications skills.     

全国妇联系统干部社会性别主流化能力建设培训班在洛阳举办

A workshop, to promote gender mainstreaming and capacity building, was held in Luoyang, Henan Province, on November 20-2l. The training, hosted by Luoyang Women＇s Federation, was sponsored by the International Department of the All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF）. Guan Jinghe, Deputy Director-General of the International Labour Organization （ILO）＇s Beijing Office, Duan Guohui, Deputy Director-General of ACWF＇s International Department, and Huang Yuanyuan, Deputy Director of the Luoyang Municipal People＇s Congress, addressed the opening session.     

Cui Meets European Left Delegation

At the invitation of the International Women＇s Forum （IWF）, Mu Hong, Director- General of the International Liaison Department of the All-China Women＇s Federation, attended the IWF Executive Development Roundtable in Hong Kong on September 25-26, 2014. Mu delivered the keynote speech.     

甘肃省开展《甘肃省性别平等促进条例》立法调研

A team from the Committee for Internal and Judicial Affairs （CIJA）, under the Gansu Provincial People＇s Congress, visited Dingxi and Baiyin （cities in Gansu Province） on September 16, to monitor the cities＇ implementation of the Law of the People＇s Republic of China on the Protection of Women＇s Rights and Interests. The team was headed by Wang Lan, Deputy Director of the Office of C1JA. Officials fiom Gansu Women＇s Federation accompanied the team.

Invited by Peggy Lam （second from right）, Chairperson of the Hong Kong Federation of Women, Meng Xiaosi, Vice-President and Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Womeffs Federation （ACWF）, attended the Beijing＋15 Forum on Status of Women in Hong Kong on August 28. 湖北省“母乳喂养支持”试点项目在汉启动

In conjunction with China＇s 20）. the Office of the Working Breastfeeding Day （on May Committee on Children and Women of Hubei Province （in Central China）, the Health and Family Planning Commission of Hubei Province, and the Hubei Federation of Trade Unions on May 19 launched a pilot project to support breastfeeding in Wuhan （capital of Hubei Province）. Wu Hongya, Vice-President of Hubei Women＇s Federation, hosted the event.
