大力发展手工编织 促进妇女就业创业

The All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF） and China＇s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security held, in Chengdu （capital of Southwest China＇s Sichuan Province） on May 8, a conference to demonstrate and promote achievements in developing the weaving industry to help women find work and/or start a business. Shen Yueyue, Vice- Chairperson of the NPC （National People＇s Congress） Standing Committee and ACWF President, spoke during the conference. Song Xiuyan, Vice- President and First Member of the Secretariat of ACWF, hosted the event.     

“停止对儿童的暴力促进儿童保护”主题宣传活动在京举行

The All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF） and the United Nations Children＇s Fund （UNICEF） in Beijing launched, in conjunction with National Legal Knowledge Publicity Day （on December 4, 2013）, an activity to call on society to make a concerted effort to combat violence against children, to protect their legal rights and interests. Tan Lin, Member of the Secretariat of ACWF, and Geeta Rao Gupta, Deputy Executive Director of UNICEF, spoke during the activity. Jiang Yue＇e, Director of ACWF＇s Legal Department, hosted the event.

Protecting Women＇s Legal Rights, Interests
The All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF）, on January 3, 2014, held the symposium on Protecting Women＇s Legal Rights and Interests and Doing Practical Work to Benefit Women in Beijing. Shen Yueyue, Vice-Chairperson of the NPC （National People＇s Congress） Standing Committee and ACWF President, chaired the meeting. Song Xiuyan, Vice-President and First Member of the Secretariat of ACWF, several of ACWF＇s vice- presidents, and representatives of members of ACWF＇s standing committee and executive committee, attended.     

Promoting Harmony within Families

The ACWF and the Chinese Women＇s Research Society （CWRS） held, in Beijing on October 30, a seminar on eradicating sexual harassment in universities. Tan Lin, Member of ACWF＇s Secretariat and Vice-President of CWRS, Gao Shawei, Director of ACWF＇s Legal Department, and Xu Tao, Director of the Teachers＇ Department of China＇s Ministry of Education, spoke during the event. More than 50 people -- including leaders and teachers from 22 universities （in various regions of China）, each of which has established a women and gender research and training base with ACWF and CWRS＇s help -- attended. During the seminar, many participants offeredsuggestions on how to curb and prevent sexual harassment.     

全国妇联和联合国儿基会赴云南实地调研

Officials from the Legal Department of the All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF）, the United Nations Children＇s Fund （UNICEF）, and the women＇s federations in Tianjin （municipality） and Hubei, Jiangsu and Yunnan provinces visited Huaning County, Yuxi, a city in Yunnan Province, on January 9, 2014. The purpose of the trip was to allow officials to see firsthand how the 12388 hotline （used to protect women＇s rights and interests） operates, and to visit local women＇s homes and various cmnmunity-based child- protection projects.     

全国妇联打造巾帼家政品牌推动家政服务发展——沈跃跃副委员长等领导参观考察济南市巾帼家政服务行业

A team from the All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF）, headed by Shen Yueyue, Vice-Chairperson of the NPC （National People＇s Congress） Standing Committee and President of the ACWF, from March 26-27, conducted an inspection tour in Ji＇nan （capital of East China＇s Shandong Province） to monitor the city＇s efforts to promote women-related work. During their tour, they visited Ji＇nan ＂Sunshine Sisters＂ Service Co., Ltd. and Ji＇nan Zhongqu District ＂Warmhearted Sisters＂ Service Center, both of which are well-known domestic-service organizations in China.     

Anhui Children Benefit from CCTF Charity Tour

The China Children and Teenagers＇ Fund （CCTF） organized a children＇s charity tour, in East China＇s Anhui Province, from October 26-29, 2014. According to the All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF）, China has 61 million left-behind children, whose parents have left their hometowns to earn a better living in urban areas. To ensure the proper development of the left-behind children. ACWF and CCTF launched the ＂Safeguarding Childhood,Walking Together with Love＂ nationwide project on July 28, 2014. The project was announced ill Beijing.     

深化试点工作推动构建家庭教育指导服务体系——记全国家庭教育指导服务体系试点工作调研交流活动

A discussion about the pilot projects （the trial implementation of the national family education guidance service system） was held in Jiashan, a county in Jiaxing, a city in East China＇s Zhejiang Province, on September 2, 2014. The All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF） hosted the discussion.     

中国关工委到山东省沂南县调研“零犯罪学校”创建工作

Wu Tao, Deputy Director of the China National Committee for the Wellbeing of the Youth, on April 28 conducted an inspection tour of Yi＇nan, a county in East China＇s Shandong Province, to monitor the county＇s efforts to establish good examples of “zero- crime schools （primary and middle schools, in which students do not commit crimes）.” Officials of the provincial, municipal and county governments accompanied Wu.     

陕西省妇女儿童维权服务中心成立

Employees of the Shaanxi （in Northwest China） Women＇s Federation and lawyers with Yongjiaxin Law Firm on September 1 established the Shaanxi Women and Children＇s Rights-protection Center. It is based in the law firm＇s offices. The federation entrusted women volunteers from the law firm to receive calls from ACWF＇s hotline, 010-12338, and to provide advice to women on how they can protect their legalrights and interests.
