Led by Su Fengjie, Deputy Director of the Office of the National Working Committee on Children and Women （NWCCW）, a team from NWCCW recently completed an inspection tour of Anyang （in Central China＇s Henan Province）, during which the team＇s members monitored the city＇s efforts to implement the National Program for Women＇s Development （2011-2020） and the National Program for Children＇s Development （2011-2020） （the two NPAs）.     

什么是“两纲”？

The ＂2 NPAs＂ refer to the National Program for Women＇s Development （2001-2010） and the National Program for Children＇s Development （2001-2010）. Prior to the 2 NPAs, China had issued the National Program for Women＇s Development （1995-2000） and the National Program of Action for Child Development in China in the 1990s.

西藏江孜县启动国家级妇女儿童发展纲要示范县工作 The government of Jiangzi County, in Southwest China＇s Tibet Autonomous Region, is promoting the implementation of the National Program for Women＇s Development （2011-2020） and the National Program for Children＇s Development （2011-2020） （two new NPAs）. The county was recently designated one of the experimental counties in which the programs will be implemented.

To promote the National Program for Children＇s Development （2011-2020）, the Office of the National Working Committee on Children and Women （NWCCW） under the State Council, in cooperation with the United Nations International Children＇s Emergency Fund （UNICEF）, implemented a five-year （2011- 2015） project to promote implementation of the program in the 20 counties, cities or districts in which the project was introduced. The purpose of the project is to help solve the problems children face in their lives, to promote children＇s development and to protect children＇s legal rights and interests.

The year 2010 is the last year of the Eleventh Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development as well as the final year of the 2001-2010 Program for Women and Children. In addition, this year marks the centenary of the International Working Women＇s Day. We will continue to take the Scientific Outlook on Development as our guide, diligently serve the overall interests of the country, serve women and serve local branches of the All-China Women＇s Federation and strive to open up new prospects for programs to help women.

Yunnan Establishes Homes for Child ren云南持续推进“儿童之家”建设Cadres with Yunnan Working Committee on Children and Women recently told media Southwest China's Yunnan Province,by the end of last year,had established a combined 14,000 homes for children in 98 percent of its urban and rural communities.Given the cadres'efforts,Yunnan has achieved the targets outlined in both the China National Program for Child Development(2011-2020)and Yunnan's Program for Children's Development(2011-2020).The former called for more than 90 nercent of urban and.

A team, composed of representatives of the Office of the National Working Colnmittee on Children and Women （NWCCW）, the Office of the United Nations International Children＇s Emergency Fund （UNICEF） in China. the UNICEF Geneva Office and the IKEA Foundation, on September 5 monitored Chongqing （a municipality in Southwest China）＇s efforts to improve kindergarten education for migrant workers＇ children.

Chinese Women’s Average Life Expectancy Exceeds 80 Years,国家统计局:我国女性平均预期寿命突破80岁,The average life expectancy of Chinese women reached 80.88 years in 2020,up from 77.37 years in 2010,indicate statistics contained in the final statistical monitoring report on the implementation of the China National Program for Women’s Development(2011-2020).The statistics were released by China’s National Bureau of Statistics(NBS)in December 2021.

Promoting Implementation of National Programs 2019年“两纲”统计监测报告发布The National Bureau of Statistics of China recently released the Statistical Monitoring Reports on the.Implementation of the National Program for Women's Development(2011-2020)in 2019,and of the National Program for Child Development(2011-2020)in 2019,respectively.Based on analyses of the statistics and materials collected by relevant departments,the bureau evaluated China's achievements in promoting the programs,especially in terms of women and children's health,education and social welfare.
