儿童营养改善项目为贫困儿童送健康

The figures were alarming; in 2010, nearly 30 percent of the children under age 2 had anemia and more than 20 percent of the children under age 5 developed slower than ordinary children in poverty-stricken areas of China.
In 2012, the nutrition-improvement program （for children in poverty- stricken areas） was launched, in 100 impoverished counties in 10 provinces, by the National Health and Family Planning Commission and the All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF）, to improve the nutrition and physical conditioning of the regions＇ young children. Each child, between 6 months and 2 years of age, receive a nutritional package, which contains protein, vitamin and mineral supplements, every day. Officials of local women＇s federations also share nutrition and health information with the kids＇ parents.     

“贫困地区儿童营养改善项目妇联系统第二期培训班”开班

Officials from the Department for Children, under the All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF）, and tile National Health and Family Planning Commission, on December 18, 2013, hosted the second round of training classes for the nutrition-improvement program lbr children in poverty-stricken areas. The classes were held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. The first round of classes was held in Wuhan, Hubei Province, in January 2013.     

国务院妇儿工委办公室组织专家开展“儿童纲要实施项目”国家级督导

To promote the National Program for Children＇s Development （2011-2020）, the Office of the National Working Committee on Children and Women （NWCCW） under the State Council, in cooperation with the United Nations International Children＇s Emergency Fund （UNICEF）, implemented a five-year （2011- 2015） project to promote implementation of the program in the 20 counties, cities or districts in which the project was introduced. The purpose of the project is to help solve the problems children face in their lives, to promote children＇s development and to protect children＇s legal rights and interests.     

Anhui Children Benefit from CCTF Charity Tour

The China Children and Teenagers＇ Fund （CCTF） organized a children＇s charity tour, in East China＇s Anhui Province, from October 26-29, 2014. According to the All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF）, China has 61 million left-behind children, whose parents have left their hometowns to earn a better living in urban areas. To ensure the proper development of the left-behind children. ACWF and CCTF launched the ＂Safeguarding Childhood,Walking Together with Love＂ nationwide project on July 28, 2014. The project was announced ill Beijing.     

共享蓝天，快乐成长——吉林省妇联关爱儿童试点工作取得良好成效

The Sharing Blue Sky, Growing Up Happily -- Caring For Children Project was implemented provincewide by Jilin Women＇s Federation on June 8. The project is intended to help disabled children, migrant children and left-behind children （in rural areas） to grow up in a healthy way. Officials from the women＇s federation intend to help 10,000 children, and their parents, this year.     

山东省莒县颁布实施2014年度十件为妇女儿童办实事项目

The Office of Juxian County （in East China＇s Shandong Province）＇s Party （Communist Party of China） Committee and the Office of Juxian County People＇s Government in early April promulgated 10 projects to improve women and children＇s livelihoods in 2014. The projects （to be implemented throughout the rest of the year） include.     

青岛市妇儿工委办进一步推进为妇女儿童办实事工作

The Shandong Provincial Party （Communist Party of China） Committee has included work related to the protection of women and children＇s legal rights and interests in the standards for the evaluation of government organs＇ work. Officials of the Qingdao （a city in East China＇s Shandong Province） Working Committee on Children and Women recently monitored the city＇s work related to women and children, and they concluded the city had done the following during the first half of this year：     

凤城妇联：关爱妇儿权益 构筑幸福家园

The Yinchuan Women＇s Federation （in Northwest China＇s Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region）, in recent years, has scored outstanding achievements in improving women and children＇s lives, and in encouraging women to participate in the management and decision- making of social affairs.To protect women and children＇s legal rights and interests, the federation has taken the lead in establishing the home for women and women＇s rights-protection work station, and in formulating the system, in which lawyers take turns to handle （for free） women＇s letters and visits.     

西安市建立妇女儿童发展研究基地

The Xi＇an （capital of Northwest China＇s Shaanxi Province） Women＇s Federation and Xi＇an Academy of Social Sciences recently hosted, in the academy, a conference to mark the founding of the Xi＇an Research Base of Women and Children＇s Development. More than 60 people -- including leaders of the federation and academy, liaison persons of the member units of the working committee on children and women under the municipal government, directors of the offices of the working committees on children and women under the governments of various districts and counties, and scholars dedicated to studying wolnen and children＇s development -- attended.     

“我的第一个书包”公益活动在京启动

When the new semester started, 10,000 poverty- stricken, first-time pupils, from 128 schools in 14 provinces or municipalities, were given a meaningful present-- their first schoolbag. The program, entitled ＂My First Schoolbag,＂ was launched on September 1 in Beijing Zhiquan School, a facility for the children of migrant workers. The program was sponsored by the China Children and Teenager Fund （CCTF） and CapitaMalls Asia （China）. Some 10,000 schoolbags and stationery items were donated by CapitaMalls Asia （China）, through CCTF, to Grade 1 students, most of whom were left-behind children, poverty- stricken children or children of migrant workers attending schools in Beijing, Chongqing, or one of 12 provinces. Fan Jiying, Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF） and Vice-Chairperson of CCTF, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.
