The All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), on January 3, 2014, held the symposium on Protecting Women's Legal Rights and Interests and Doing Practical Work to Benefit Women in Beijing. The All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) and the National Working Committee on Children and Women (NWCCW) under the State Council plan to organize experts, who study laws and regulations, to study key and difficult issues related to the promotion of anti-domestic violence legislation. In conjunction with the 14th International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (on November 25, 2013), the organizations hosted a seminar to discuss anti-domestic violence legislation in Beijing. Organizers invited experts from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Peking University, China University of Political Science and Law, and the Women's Studies Institutes of China, to ACWF's headquarters to discuss issues related to the promotion of anti-domestic violence legislation.  相似文献

Invited by the president of Polish Women's League, a four-member delegation of Chinese women visited Poland and attended the event to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Polish Women's League from October 18-20, 2013. The delegation, headed by Mu Hong, Director-General of the International Department of the All-China Women's Federation, visited grass-roots organizations of Polish Women's League. A. Michalak, President of Polish Women's League, met with the delegation. Both sides shared their opinions on improving the friendly cooperation between Chinese and Polish women. The All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) and Australian Human Rights Commission (AHRC, a national human rights institution funded by the Australian Government) plan to explore, through pilot projects, the ways of establishing State-level domestic violence crisis- intervention centers and databases, inChina between 2013-2016. Invited by the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), a six-member delegation of Indian women, headed by Mrs. Gomathi Nair, President of the All India Women's Conference, visited Beijing and Shanghai from July 25-31, 2010. It was the first time that the ACWF had invited a non- governmental women's delegation from India to visit. During the visit, Meng Xiaosi, Vice-President and Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women's Federation, met members of the delegation. In Beijing, the delegation visited Wuzhou Women's Hospital and the grass-roots women's federation at Shijia Hutong, in Dongcheng District. In Shanghai, the delegation visited the Employment Promotion Center in Baoshan District. Employees of the Shaanxi (in Northwest China) Women's Federation and lawyers with Yongjiaxin Law Firm on September 1 established the Shaanxi Women and Children's Rights-protection Center. It is based in the law firm's offices. The ACWF and the Chinese Women's Research Society (CWRS) held, in Beijing on October 30, a seminar on eradicating sexual harassment in universities. Tan Lin, Member of ACWF's Secretariat and Vice-President of CWRS, Gao Shawei, Director of ACWF's Legal Department, and Xu Tao, Director of the Teachers' Department of China's Ministry of Education, spoke during the event. More than 50 people -- including leaders and teachers from 22 universities (in various regions of China), each of which has established a women and gender research and training base with ACWF and CWRS's help -- attended.
