Promoting Implementation of National Programs 2019年“两纲”统计监测报告发布The National Bureau of Statistics of China recently released the Statistical Monitoring Reports on the.Implementation of the National Program for Women's Development(2011-2020)in 2019,and of the National Program for Child Development(2011-2020)in 2019,respectively.Based on analyses of the statistics and materials collected by relevant departments,the bureau evaluated China's achievements in promoting the programs,especially in terms of women and children's health,education and social welfare.

西藏江孜县启动国家级妇女儿童发展纲要示范县工作 The government of Jiangzi County, in Southwest China＇s Tibet Autonomous Region, is promoting the implementation of the National Program for Women＇s Development （2011-2020） and the National Program for Children＇s Development （2011-2020） （two new NPAs）. The county was recently designated one of the experimental counties in which the programs will be implemented.     

All of China Should Contribute to Success of Children's Program

IN February 1992 the State Council Standing Meeting discussed and endorsed the National Program of Action for Child Development (hereinafter referred to as National Program for short) in China in the 1990s which is a program of action for children. China Women's National Football Team中国女足China won the AFC (Asian Football Confederation) Women's Asian Cup by beating Australia 4-2, in a Shootout, in the final in Adelaide, Australia, on July 30. Chinese striker Ma Xiaoxu was named most-valuable player. It was the eighth time that China's women's national team players hoisted the AFC trophy above their heads. The victory also marked the team's return to its winning ways, after it suffered semi-final and final defeats to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in 2001 and 2003, respectively.

Chinese Women’s Average Life Expectancy Exceeds 80 Years,国家统计局:我国女性平均预期寿命突破80岁,The average life expectancy of Chinese women reached 80.88 years in 2020,up from 77.37 years in 2010,indicate statistics contained in the final statistical monitoring report on the implementation of the China National Program for Women’s Development(2011-2020).The statistics were released by China’s National Bureau of Statistics(NBS)in December 2021.

Race Celebrates Women's Conference

ON the morning of February 26, a sea of enthusiastic women dressed in running suits converged upon Tiananmen Square for the start of the "Go to Beijing" distance race to celebrate the 85th anniversary of International Women's Day and to welcome the UN Fourth World Conference on Women (FWCW). The crowd included thousands of women from China and abroad. Vice President Rong Yiren, Qian Qichen, Vice-Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chen Muhua, Vice-Chairperson of National People's Congress (NPC) and President of the All-China Women's Federation, Lei Jieqiong, Vice-Chairperson of the NPC, and Peng Peiyun, State Councillor and Chairperson of the FWCW China Organizing Committee,     

Follow-up Actions of the FWCW

In order to implement the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action adopted at the Fourth World Conference on Women, the Chinese government issued and implemented the "Program for the Development of Chinese Women, 1996-2000." The All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), in accordance with the 12 priority areas set by the Platform for Action, has taken active and fruitful measures in such areas as poverty-relief for women, education for women, reemployment for laid-off women workers, women's political participation, the protection of women's rights and interests, cultivating family culture, the protection of children's rights and interests, international communication, etc. Chinese women are gearing up for the 21st century from a new position.
