统计学计算机辅助教学软件与双样本统计推断

本文就统计教学中引进计算机辅助教学软件的问题进行探讨。根据我国财经类院校 统计教师的实际情况,结合笔者的教学体会,提出《统计学》教学用计算机辅助教学软件的 编写原则：操作简单、编程方便、社会普及程度高、基本统计功能齐备、易学易用、与其它 软件有较好的链接方式、不增加教师备课负担。利用Excel软件开发的计算机辅助教学软件 值得在各财经类院校普及推广。

 张尧庭先生是一位目光深远的统计学大师。本文认为他生前提出的下述观点即“统计学的发展全靠数学与实际问题的推动”,“为反映整体的、动态的东西统计学必须要有新突破”,以及“促进数理统计和经济统计的学术交流”等,在今天仍然具有现实意义,可为我们现时的统计学教学与研究的深入发展提供有益参考。

我国统计史上开天辟地的一件大事——纪念《统计法》颁布20周年感想

从1952年8月7日我国政府统计机构成立,到1983年12月8日《统计法》获全国人民代表大会常务委员会第三次会议通过,并以中华人民共和国主席令(第九号)予以公布。30年间,党中央、国务院颁发了一系列关于加强统计工作的重要文件。主要有四项:1953年1月8日,中央人民政府政务院发布了《关于充实统计机构加强统计工作的决定》,奠定了我国社会主义统计机构和统计制度的基础,为新中国统计工作提供了组织制度保证。1962年4月4日,党中央、国务院发布了《关于加强统计工作的决定》,正确解决了统计工作的管理体制、统计资料的准确性和及时性、统计机构设置…

从统计学史解析“自由度”概念

自由度是统计学中一个十分重要而又长期没有被圆满解释的概念。对此,从统计学史角度,对皮尔逊、费歇尔有关自由度问题争论原始文献细致考察,彻底澄清了自由度概念的内涵及与其相关的统计思想,弥补了Fienberg、Stigler与陈希孺已有解释的缺陷。研究表明：皮尔逊关于卡方检验中无论总体分布已知还是其来自于样本推断统计量都具有同一分布的错误判断,导致卡方检验的准确性出现偏差,这种偏差虽被同时代少数几个统计学家察觉但他们却无法解释其根源。费歇尔提出自由度概念并结合n维几何、假设检验与最大似然方法的论证不仅修正了皮尔逊的错误,也完善了从样本统计量估计总体参数的数理逻辑。     

Some Properties of Order Statistics When the Sample Size Is Random

ABSTRACT

The study of r-out-of-n systems is of utmost importance in reliability theory. In this note, we study closure of different partial orders under the formation of r-out-of-N and (N ? s)-out-of-N systems when the number of components N, forming the system, is a random variable having support {k, k + 1,…}, where k is a fixed positive integer, r ∈ {1,…, k} and s ∈ {0, 1,…, k ? 1}. This generalizes quite a few results already known in the literature. We also study the closure of different partial orders when two systems are formed out of different random number of components.

Program of the Section on Economic and Business Statistics

Suppose that in the situation of a paired t test natural pairing, such as the use of twins, is not possible. Reduction in variability is then often achieved artificially, for example by pairing animals of similar birth weight. This article points out that, unless such pairing is ineffective, the usual assumptions underlying the paired t test are violated. Nevertheless, simulation indicates that, with randomization in the allocation of treatments, the standard procedure gives good results. Our bivariate normal model provides the factor by which the length of the confidence interval for the mean treatment difference is reduced as a result of the pairing. Another form of pairing sometimes used is shown to be incorrect. Nonparametric analogs are also briefly considered.     

Advanced Placement Statistics: Expanding the Scope of Statistics Education

A list of consequential developments in the field of statistics for the past quarter-century must include the creation and implementation of the Advanced Placement (AP) program in Statistics. This program has introduced millions of high school students to our discipline over the past 18 years, contributing to the large increase in the number of undergraduate students pursuing statistics as their major in college. ASA members and leaders have played a substantial role in shaping this program and furthering its success.     

A note on the accuracy of fisher's approximation to the large sample variance of an intraclass correlationa

The adequacy of Fisher's approximation to the large sample variance of an intraclass correlation is investigated in the context of family studies. It is found that the approximation is highly accurate in samples of moderately large size (≧ 30 families), and can also be used for significance-testing under a broad range of circumstances. The exact sampling of distribution of the intraclass correlation coefficient is also derived.

＂社会统计学＂不能等同于＂统计学＂,这应该是一个被广泛接受的命题。30年来,名称同为＂社会统计学＂的文献,涵盖的内容却差异巨大,同名不同实（有些＂社会统计学＂涵盖的是＂统计学原理＂的内容）。梳理社会统计学近30年的发展,从学科性质与构建思路、研究范围、前沿问题等方面进行探讨,促进社会统计学＂实至名归＂。     

A General Recurrence Relation for the Moments of Bivariate and Trivariate Order Statistics

In this article, by using the dropping argument, a general recurrence relation satisfied by the joint cumulative distribution functions of order statistics from any arbitrary bivariate distribution function is established. This recurrence relation is the first bivariate version of the basic triangle rule for order statistics arisen from univariate distribution function. Finally, this relation is extended to the trivariate case. These lead to similar identities for product moments (of any order) of order statistics.
