Invited by the president of Polish Women＇s League, a four-member delegation of Chinese women visited Poland and attended the event to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Polish Women＇s League from October 18-20, 2013. The delegation, headed by Mu Hong, Director-General of the International Department of the All-China Women＇s Federation, visited grass-roots organizations of Polish Women＇s League. A. Michalak, President of Polish Women＇s League, met with the delegation. Both sides shared their opinions on improving the friendly cooperation between Chinese and Polish women. The visit helped to renew the traditional friendship between ACWF and Polish Women＇s League.

Protecting Women＇s Legal Rights, Interests
The All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF）, on January 3, 2014, held the symposium on Protecting Women＇s Legal Rights and Interests and Doing Practical Work to Benefit Women in Beijing. Shen Yueyue, Vice-Chairperson of the NPC （National People＇s Congress） Standing Committee and ACWF President, chaired the meeting. Song Xiuyan, Vice-President and First Member of the Secretariat of ACWF, several of ACWF＇s vice- presidents, and representatives of members of ACWF＇s standing committee and executive committee, attended.     

全国妇联在皖调研农村土地承包经营权确权登记试点工作

A team from the All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF） conducted an inspection tour of East China＇s Anhui Province between May 27-29,2014. The team, headed by Tan Lin, Member of ACWF＇s Secretariat, monitored the province＇s efforts of protecting women＇s rights and interests while it implemented the land-contract-registration system.     

Chinese Delegation Attends CEDAW Meeting Which Considered Its 7th and 8th Combined Periodic Report

At the invitation of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization of h＇an and the Women＇s Council of the Republican Party of Armenia, Yu Hongqiu. Vice-President and Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women＇s Federation, headed a Chinese women＇s delegation during visits to lran and Armenia between October18-25,2014.     

甘肃省开展《甘肃省性别平等促进条例》立法调研

A team from the Committee for Internal and Judicial Affairs （CIJA）, under the Gansu Provincial People＇s Congress, visited Dingxi and Baiyin （cities in Gansu Province） on September 16, to monitor the cities＇ implementation of the Law of the People＇s Republic of China on the Protection of Women＇s Rights and Interests. The team was headed by Wang Lan, Deputy Director of the Office of C1JA. Officials fiom Gansu Women＇s Federation accompanied the team.

The China Women＇s Business and Innovation Achievements Expo openedon June 18 in southeast China＇s Fujian Province. Vice-Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People＇s Congress and President of the All- China Women＇s Federation （ACWF） Chen Zhili attended the opening ceremony. She proclaimed the Expo open.     

纪念首部婚姻法颁布60周年大会

A seminar was held on April 28, 2010, in Beijing to mark the 60th anniversary （May 1, 1950） of the promulgation of the Marriage Law of the People＇s Republic of China. Chen Zhili, Vice- Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People＇s Congress and President of the All-ChJna Women＇s Federation, spoke about the significant role the Marriage Law has played in Chinese women＇s liberation.     

全国妇联权益部2010年工作思路

Guided bv the spirit of the 17th NPC （National People＇s Congress） and the Fourth Plenty Session of the 17th Central Committee of the CPC （Communist Party of China）, ACWF （All-China Women＇s Federation）＇s Legal Department, this year, will abide by the deployment of the 10th National Women＇s Congress of China.     

《哈尔滨市妇女权益保障条例》11月起施行

To protect women＇s legal rights and interests, Harbin （capital of Northeast China＇s Heilongjiang Province）, during the 15th Session of tbe 14th Standing Committee of Municipal People＇s Congress （held on June 20）, adopted the Regulations of Harbinon the Protection of Women＇s Rights and Interests. The regulations, the first of the kind to be adopted by the city, took effect on November 1.     

西安市建立妇女儿童发展研究基地

The Xi＇an （capital of Northwest China＇s Shaanxi Province） Women＇s Federation and Xi＇an Academy of Social Sciences recently hosted, in the academy, a conference to mark the founding of the Xi＇an Research Base of Women and Children＇s Development. More than 60 people -- including leaders of the federation and academy, liaison persons of the member units of the working committee on children and women under the municipal government, directors of the offices of the working committees on children and women under the governments of various districts and counties, and scholars dedicated to studying wolnen and children＇s development -- attended.     

关爱妇女健康提高服务水平

The ＂Mother An＇xin Project,＂ with the theme ＂Improve women＇s healthcare service,＂ was launched by China Women＇s Development Foundation in the Great Hall of the People, in Beijing, on March 22, 2010. Chert Zhili, Vice-Chairperson of the National People＇s Congress Standing Committee and President of the All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF）, attended the ceremony. Song Xiuyan, Vice-President of the ACWF, delivered a speech during the ceremony. Huang Qingyi, President of China Women＇s Development Foundation （CWDF）, and Zhen Yan, Vice-President of the ACWF, Zhengli Jinfen, Chairwoman of Amway （China） Co. Ltd, attended.

Protecting Rural Women＇s Land-related Rights
A team from the All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF） on April 22 conducted an inspection tour of Southwest China＇s Sichuan Province. The team, headed by Tan Lin, Member of ACWF＇s Secretariat, monitored the province＇s efforts to protect rural women＇s legal rights and interests during the confirmation of land ownership, their right to use the land and various other rights related to land.     

Promoting Harmony within Families

The ACWF and the Chinese Women＇s Research Society （CWRS） held, in Beijing on October 30, a seminar on eradicating sexual harassment in universities. Tan Lin, Member of ACWF＇s Secretariat and Vice-President of CWRS, Gao Shawei, Director of ACWF＇s Legal Department, and Xu Tao, Director of the Teachers＇ Department of China＇s Ministry of Education, spoke during the event. More than 50 people -- including leaders and teachers from 22 universities （in various regions of China）, each of which has established a women and gender research and training base with ACWF and CWRS＇s help -- attended. During the seminar, many participants offeredsuggestions on how to curb and prevent sexual harassment.     

山东省莒县颁布实施2014年度十件为妇女儿童办实事项目

The Office of Juxian County （in East China＇s Shandong Province）＇s Party （Communist Party of China） Committee and the Office of Juxian County People＇s Government in early April promulgated 10 projects to improve women and children＇s livelihoods in 2014. The projects （to be implemented throughout the rest of the year） include.

Song Xiuyan, Vice-President and First Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF）, met Teresa Maria Amarelle Boue, General Secretary of Cuba＇s Women＇s Federation, in Beijing on March 18.     

Anti-drug Activities Held

The China Meets Egypt activity, organized by Beijing Women＇s Federation and the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt, was held on October 25 in the Haidian Women and Children＇s Activity Center in Beijing. Ma Lanxia, President of Beijing Women＇s Federation （BWF）, Zhou Zhijun, BWF＇s Vice-President, Magdy Amer, Egypt＇s Ambassador to China, and Karima Nasser AI-Saadi, wife of Abdullah Saleh AI-Saadi, the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to China, attended. Nearly 300 people, including students from Egypt and residents in Haidian District, participated.     

Educating Juvenile Offenders

Leaders of Zaozhuang （a city in East China＇s Shandong Province） Women＇s Federation visit orphans and disabled children in Zaozhuang Children＇s Welfare Office. The hospital of the 22nd Regiment of the Second Agricultural Division of the Xinjiang （in Northwest China） Production and Construction Corps, in Xinjiang＇s Hejing County, recently distributed, among doctors and nurses, a handbook to illustrate the importance of working in the frontier.

沈跃跃会见新加坡驻华大使 Shen Yueyue, Vice-Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People＇s Congress and President of the All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF）, met Loh Ka Leung, Singapore＇s Ambassador to China, at the Great Hall of the People, in Beijing, on September 27. They relations and women＇s exchanges between exchanged opinions on how to improve China and Singapore.

Invited by the parliaments of Bosnia-Herzegovina and Montenegro, a 15-member Chinese women＇s delegation headed by Mme. Chen Zhili Vice-Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People＇s Congress of China and President of the All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF）, visited Bosnia-Herzegovina and Montenegro from June 8-15.     

陈至立出席澳门妇女联合总会成立60周年庆祝活动

Chen Zhili, Vice-Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People＇s Congress of China and President of the All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF）, visited Macao, on May 28, to attend the 60th anniversary celebration of the founding of the Women＇s General Association of Macao. Ho Hau Wah, Vice-Chairman of the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People＇s Political Consultative Conference, and Chui Sai On, Chief Executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region （SAR）, also attended the celebration.
