Sexual Body Image and Its Correlates: A Population-Based Study of Finnish Women and Men

ABSTRACT

Sexual body image was examined in a population-based sample of 9,532 Finnish men and women, age 18 to 49 years. More than one half of women and men were satisfied with their genitals, one half of the women were satisfied with their breasts. Higher levels of genital satisfaction were related to higher frequencies of sexual behavior and better sexual function for both genders. For men, penis size satisfaction was associated with lower levels of premature ejaculation and better erectile function. Sexual body image was related to overall perceived attractiveness, for women a higher body mass index was related to satisfaction with breast size. Having children was negatively related to women's sexual body image, abortions and miscarriages likewise. Limitations of the study and clinical implications of the findings are discussed.

青少年社会网络结构及其对人际关系的影响

本文提出用社会网络分析的观点研究青少年人际关系的整体面貌与发展轨迹,运用社会网络调查表———SNI(theSocialNetworkslnventory)初步探讨了青少年的社会网络结构与其对人际关系的影响。调查对象为80名大学生,90名高中生。研究发现:(1)高中生与大学生在社会网络的整体规模上差别不明显;(2)对于青少年来说,极为重要社会网络关系类型为现在的朋友、现在的同学、父母、现在的班级以及过去的同学;(3)以社会网络关系力量中的亲密度为考察指标,社会网络的亲密度对于青少年的人际关系影响较大。无论是自评亲密度还是他评亲密度,大学生高于高中生,对进入社会网络中的女性的亲密度高于男性。     

A Genetically Informed Study of the Intergenerational Transmission of Marital Instability

Environmental or genetic influences, or both could account for the increased risk of divorce among the offspring of separated parents. Previous studies have used covariates to statistically control for confounds, but the present research is the first genetically informed study of the topic. The investigation used the Children of Twins Design with twins, their spouses, and their young adult offspring (n = 2,310) from the Australian Twin Registry to test whether selection on the basis of genetic or shared environment factors accounted for part of the intergenerational association. The analyses also controlled for measured characteristics of both parents. The results suggest that both environmentally mediated and genetic risk account for the intergenerational transmission, supporting the roles of both selection and causation.     

京津冀服务业结构调整的动态研究

目前,中国区域经济,特别是东部地区呈现出工业型经济向服务型经济转型的趋势,且服务业内部结构也在发生显著变化,现代经济增长越来越依赖于服务业内部结构的升级。京津冀地区非常典型,故本文以京津冀区域一体化为依托,对京津冀服务业发展做Moore值分析,用2004—2013年的数据对北京、天津和河北服务业结构调整的程度和态势进行了比较研究,并详细分析了京津冀都市圈服务业发展路径和趋势,提出了相应的对策建议。     

残疾儿童心理健康内涵及结构初探

心理健康是儿童生活和健康成长的保障,相较于普通儿童,在某些方面具有障碍或缺陷的残疾儿童更容易出现情绪和行为问题,其心理健康状况堪忧,迫切需要得到更多的关注和有效的干预.本文基于心理健康的概念和标准,结合残疾儿童的身心发展特点,厘清了残疾儿童心理健康的内涵,其实质是努力达成残疾儿童与外界环境的适度平衡和内心的和谐,即良好的社会适应.在此基础上,从社会适应心理机能的活动领域和特质内容两个维度入手,初步构建出残疾儿童心理健康的五领域(自我意识、人际交往、学习适应、生活适应、社会支持)与三内容(认知、情绪情感、意志行为)相交叉的二维结构模型,为进一步开展残疾儿童心理健康教育的实践工作奠定理论基础.     

Yoshida Theory: Its Structure,Criticism and Advancement

Tamito Yoshida, a giant of theoretical sociology, passed away in 2009. Here, I give a concise review of his theoretical achievements, called “Yoshida Theory”, and foresee the future. The main features of Yoshida Theory are the following: information controls resources; there was evolution from the stage of only materials to that of materials controlled by generic information and also to that of materials controlled by symbolic information; the process of information procedures is divided into “to cognize,”“to evaluate” and “to order,” which are distinguished from one another, and from the theoretical standpoint called the “Information Processing Resources Paradigm”; i nformation is maintained as long as it is useful, and when it becomes useless it is selected or expected to be changed. There was much criticism against the theory. The most unrelenting opposition was that it was not a system of explanation in the conventional sense of scientific methodology. It was claimed not to be positive scientific theory because of the logical inconsistency. Yoshida's counter‐criticism was, contrary to his opposites' expectations, that sociological theory ought not to fulfill the criteria to be science. It seemed to support his evolutionalist assertion that the synchronically inconsistent theory will be corrected diachronically and achieve some consistency. The criteria of science themselves should be re‐constructed to thematize the fact that information or program‐controlling society has evolution, he thought. He called it “New Science”; however, the attempt was never completed. It is still our task to clarify whether sociological theory can remain in science or not.
