In a recent article in this journal, Ahrne, Brunsson, and Seidl (2016) suggest a definition of organization as a ‘decided social order’ composed of five elements (membership, rules, hierarchies, monitoring, and sanctions) which rest on decisions. ‘Partial organization’ uses only one or a few of these decidable elements while ‘complete organization’ uses them all. Such decided orders may also occur outside formal organizations, as the authors observe. Although we appreciate the idea of improving our understanding of organization(s) in modern society, we believe that Ahrne, Brunsson, and Seidl's suggestion jeopardizes the concept of organization by blurring its specific meaning. As the authors already draw on the work of Niklas Luhmann, we propose taking this exploration a step further and the potential of systems theory more seriously. Organizational analysis would then be able to retain a distinctive notion of formal organization on the one hand while benefiting from an encompassing theory of modern society on the other. With this extended conceptual framework, we would expect to gain a deeper understanding of how organizations implement and shape different societal realms as well as mediate between their particular logics, and, not least, how they are related to non-organizational social forms (e.g. families). 相似文献

This study examined the effects of supportive learning culture, team creativity, and collaborative knowledge creating practices on team performance. A survey was used to collect data from a total of 228 knowledge workers from nine Korean organizations. Analyses included measuring item internal consistency, validating proposed constructs, and examining structural relationships using Structural Equation Modelling. The proposed research model was validated in terms of item internal consistency and a model-fit in the Korean business context. Supportive learning culture had a positive and direct influence on team creativity and on the teams' collaborative knowledge creation practices; however, it had an indirect influence on the team performance through the variables of team creativity and knowledge creation practices. In the conclusion, limitations, implications, and further research suggestions are discussed. 相似文献

An empirical study that utilizes a mailed survey to assess the initiatives and key factors of implementing ISO programs in various governmental departments in Taiwan was carried out. The results of this study identify five critical factors of successful ISO implementation in public organizations and show that the certification of ISO 9000 is seen as a tool for improving organizational images and creating the structures to integrate changed responsibilities for public organizations in Taiwan. The results also reveal differences in ISO 9000 implementation practices associated with organization size, unionization, and service types. 相似文献

在复杂多变的全球化环境中,制造类企业面临激烈竞争,这要求企业实施持续改进的先进管理模式。但企业资源常常是有限的,而传统理论中的持续改进活动则过于繁杂,操作难度较大,故提出对持续改进绩效有显著正向影响的九项组织改进活动,据此针对组织改进活动和持续改进绩效之间的关系建立了模型,并利用Continuous Innovation Network(CINet)等数据库的数据进行了统计检验。结果表明其拟合优度指数满足要求,模型比较理想。组织在持续改进过程中可将模型中的九项改进活动作为重点,逐步开展持续改进的各项活动,提高组织绩效,进而全面实现持续改进。同时,若要重点提升产品及服务水平或组织效率则应主要开展相关模型中的改进活动,有针对性的提升组织绩效。 相似文献

The concept of the protean career has been discussed in the career development field over the last three decades. The main purpose of this study was to conduct an empirical assessment of the individual protean career attitude and investigate the relationships between the protean career attitude and other variables such as organizational learning climate, individual career-enhancing strategy and work orientation. The hypotheses were investigated through a correlation and a path analysis of data from 244 employees of a Korean financial company. The results provide useful information on the direct effects of career-enhancing strategy and work orientation on the protean career attitude. In addition, an indirect effect of organizational learning climate was identified. 相似文献

This interpretive case study sought to fully understand and describe the turnaround experience from an organizational breakdown to breakthrough with the use of Open Space Technology. The turnaround occurred in a Roman Catholic parish. Participant interviews were used to collect the data. These qualitative portrayals provided insights and implications around the effectiveness and impact of Open Space. Four important themes emerged: the experience of breakdown, the deep longing for a breakthrough, the transformation of crisis into a turnaround and the effectiveness of Open Space Technology. This case study provides perspectives on how to effect transformation for an organization in crisis with the least effort and maximum impact within a short time span. It contains insights and implications for leaders and consultants to do the same. 相似文献

本文主要研究企业复杂变化环境下个人的持续学习能力及其对其绩效的影响。个人是组织学习/团队学习的最小单位和学习型组织/学习型团队中的重要主体。本文首先对个人学习的文献进行了简要回顾总结,然后提出个人学习的定义,基于作者以前的组织学习模型建立了个人学习的九种行为和能力要素,开发了个人学习能力的定义和测量问卷模型(ILCQ)。采用来自企业的244个样本数据进行了统计分析,表明所建立的个人学习能力的测量模型具有好的信度和效度,并初步发现了个人学习能力与个人任务绩效和情景绩效之间均具有显著的正相关关系。希望这一研究为今后个人学习的深入研究建立概念、测量和逻辑关系基础。 相似文献

建立了知识型组织中知识型成员间知识传播过程的元胞自动机模型,对知识型成员间隐性知识传播过程的影响因素、传播规律等进行了仿真研究。模拟结果表明:知识型成员间的信任、知识传播者的意愿和影响力与知识传播速度正相关;扁平化的组织结构有利于知识自下而上的传播;当组织知识水平达到最优传播规模时,组织的知识传播瞬时速度将达到最大值。 相似文献

基于我国的235个企业样本数据进行实证分析,研究了管理者个人、团队和组织三层面学习能力之间的关系,发现:①这3个层面的学习能力之间存在显著的正相关关系,其中个人学习能力与组织学习能力、团队学习能力与组织学习能力之间的关系还受到管理者职位的显著调节作用,而个人学习能力与团队学习能力之间的关系则不受职位的调节作用;②个人学习能力通过团队学习能力的中介作用对组织学习能力产生影响,这对高层管理者而言,只是部分的中介作用;而对中层管理者,则是完全的中介作用. 相似文献

The relationship between nurses' work organization in hospital wards and the level of burnout experienced by them was analysed in two independent and highly comparable samples of nurses. The hypothesis that the greater the number of nurses who are responsible for, or are having contact with, one patient during one work shift, the higher their experienced level of burnout will be, was partially confirmed in one of the two samples. We have attributed the contradictory results to differences in the management of nurses' work organization, and warned against fashionable ideas concerning the ideal type of nurses' work organization in hospital wards. 相似文献
