本文考察了我国部分经济和管理类院校统计学专业本科的教学情况,介绍了本科统计专业下设的研究方向和统计课程设置等,并对部分大统计学专业进行了比较分析。最后,对改革我国本科统计专业教育提出了建议。

财经类本科函授统计学教学存在的问题及对策

本文针对财经类本科函授统计教学中存在的问题,提出本科函授统计教学应改变传统的教学模式,充分利用现代教育技术,结合案例和计算机软件,侧重数据处理方法和技术的教学;将Excel与多媒体教学相结合;将多媒体教学与实验教学相结合,全面提高教学层次和教学质量。

高校教学质量评价指标权重的确定方法

教学质量评价是高校监控教学质量和确保人才培养质量的主要手段，不同类型本科院校教学质量评价指标权重有一定差异。文章基于高校专家调查数据，利用秩和运算法分别计算重点本科院校、一般本科院校和独立学院的教学质量评价指标权重值，构建多元化评价指标体系，从而对三类本科院校教学质量进行了有针对性的评价。

统计教育现状分析与思考

近几年统计教育规模不断下降的状况已引起人们的高度重视和思考。形成目前状况的原因,既有诸如统计法规宣传不力、人才质量与社会需求相背离、统计数据质量不高等外部原因,也有教育自身在教育模式、教育结构、教育功能、教育标准、教育资源、教学过程等方面存在的问题。我们只有理性地看待统计教育发展现状,认真分析其产生原因,逐个剖析,深入挖掘,抓住主要矛盾,加大改革力度,采取有利措施,才能促进统计教育健康稳步地发展。     

大数据时代的统计教育

2014年11月,美国统计学会适应大数据时代的要求,发布了统计学本科专业指导性教学纲要。而在2013年,我国统计类本科专业刚刚进行了一次较大调整,目前的专业课程设置和教学内容改革还处于探索阶段。美国统计学会发布的这份指导性教学纲要对于推进我国统计类本科专业教育改革具有重要借鉴意义。本文首先概括性地介绍了美国统计学会发布的统计学本科专业指导性教学纲要的核心内容,包括统计专业本科生应该掌握的基本技能和应该修读的主要课程,然后分析了我国统计类本科专业教育存在的问题,并提出了在大数据时代改进我国统计类本科专业教育的几点建议。     

The Perpetual Student: Modeling Duration of Undergraduate Studies Based on Lifetime-Type Educational Data

It is important to educational planners to estimate the likelihood and time-scale of graduation of students enrolled on a curriculum. The particular case we are concerned with, emerges when studies are not completed in the prescribed interval of time. Under these circumstances we use a framework of survival analysis applied to lifetime-type educational data to examine the distribution of duration of undergraduate studies for 10,313 students, enrolled in a Greek university during ten consecutive academic years. Non-parametric and parametric survival models have been developed for handling this distribution as well as a modified procedure for testing goodness-of-fit of the models. Data censoring was taken into account in the statistical analysis and the problems of thresholding of graduation and of perpetual students are also addressed. We found that the proposed parametric model adequately describes the empirical distribution provided by non-parametric estimation. We also found significant difference between duration of studies of men and women students. The proposed methodology could be useful to analyse data from any other type and level of education or general lifetime data with similar characteristics.     

Teaching Statistical Consulting Before Statistical Methodology

This paper outlines and discusses the advantages of an ‘Introduction to Statistical Consulting’ course (ISC) that exposes students to statistical consulting early in their studies. The course is intended for students before, or while, they study their units in statistical techniques, and assumes only a first‐year introductory statistics unit. The course exposes undergraduate students to the application of statistics and helps develop statistical thinking. An important goal is to introduce students to work as a statistician early in their studies because this motivates some students to study statistics further and provides a framework to motivate the learning of further statistical techniques. The ISC has proved popular with students, and this paper discusses the reasons for this popularity and the benefits of an ISC to statistical education and the statistics profession.     

统计数据质量与用户满意度：测评量表设计与实证研究

 针对政府统计数据质量评估问题,综合若干国家统计部门与国际组织对统计质量的定义,确立政府统计数据质量维度体系;进而参照国际货币基金组织的“数据质量评估框架”设计具体的用户满意度测评量表。基于该量表的问卷调查结果显示,量表具有良好的测量信度与效度。研究中提出的八项质量维度可以充分反映政府统计数据质量的不同侧面,可以有效解构用户满意度的特征;用户对各质量维度的重要性认知、用户专业技术职务、对统计数据的依赖程度以及搜集渠道的选择等,与其满意度之间亦表现出明显的关联模式。     

Bill Cochran: His Contributions to Medicine and Public Health and Some Personal Recollections

There is a tremendous need in our technological society to train statisticians for all sectors of education, government, and industry. Because statistical training has largely been restricted to graduate schools, the profession is losing many good students to other fields of study. Members of the statistics community are encouraged to reach out to high-school students and undergraduate students to increase the awareness of statistics as a scientific field of study and as a professional career. The ASA Council of Chapters has recently completed a slide presentation entitled “Statistical Science: The Profession,” which was professionally developed to aid this endeavor. In addition, high-school teachers, high-school counselors, and professors of mathematics and science education are identified as important audiences for hearing this message and for broadening general public awareness of what our profession has to offer.     

Quality Management: Development of a Framework for a Statistical Agency

Over the last 20 years there has been an increasing focus on quality management (QM) as a distinct and necessary element of any competitive business organization. Although quality has always been a concern of national statistical agencies, quality improvements within such organizations have been achieved through a variety of different independent initiatives rather than through concerted effort under the umbrella of a formal “QM program.” This article addresses the application of QM to a national statistical agency. The essential elements of QM are reviewed from the perspective of a statistical agency. Ongoing quality initiatives at Statistics Canada and at other statistical agencies are described. The article concludes by identifying some of the major considerations in developing a QM strategy for Statistics Canada.

通过对改革开放30年来政府统计对大学毕业生专业、学历层次及毕业院校需求的结构分析,以及当前社会关注的统计热点问题的讨论,反思统计教育存在的问题,并提出提高统计教育质量的建议。     

网络技术下统计的变革和统计教育面临的任务

网络经济的发展使现行的统计信息生产方式和统计制度发生深刻变革,使统计人才的知识结构发生重大变化,从而对统计教育的着力点和培养目标、培养方式提出了新的要求。如何培养大量优秀的复合型统计人才,极大地提高统计人员的素质,是统计教育面临的艰巨任务。     

中国企业统计能力评价方法研究

企业统计能力是国家统计能力的重要组成部分，企业统计能力的提高直接影响到国家统计能力的建设。从统计能力建设问题入手，讨论中国企业统计能力的内涵及其与政府统计能力的区别，提出了企业统计能力评价的系统结构，并从个体评价和总体评价两个角度对企业统计能力的评价方法进行了研究。
