Power comparisons of single-sample winsorized T,trimmed T and student's T

The objective of this study is to evaluate the performance of Winsorized t which was proposed to be used as one alternative to the student's t statistic when the parent population is non-normal. The criterion we use is the power of the test. Comparative performance of the Winsorized t, trimmed t, and Studen$tCs t for normal populations and for Studen$tCs t distribution with 8, 4, and 2 degrees of freedom was investigated.     

Misspecified T2 tests. i. location and scale

Properties of Hotelling's (1931) T ² are studied under model misspecification in the model for a multivariate experiment. Stochastic bounds on T ² and further properties of the T ² test are studied under misspecified location and scale. The bounds are evaluated numerically in selected cases.

Development of r,T hybrid sampling plans for exponential lifetime distributions

SUMMARY In the original hybrid reliability acceptance sampling plan RASP developed by Epstein for the exponential lifetime distribution, the sample size n and the number of failures r to be observed are determined given the truncation time T . However, these plans cannot be used when test items are expensive and or limited in number. Therefore, one wishes to have a plan in which n is given. In this paper, we develop hybrid RASPs in which r and T are determined, given n. These plans are tabulated for various combinations of parameter values, so that one may easily determine an appropriate plan.     

C434. Local bounds on power of T2 in scale families

In this paper, we have developed a likelihood ratio factorization technique for variable selection for multiple observations model. The asymptotic distribution of the selection criterion is also given. This technique has been applied to a marketing data set for illustration of the technique developed.
