我国生态文明国际话语权构建的理论初探

国际话语权一直是各主权国家表达自己诉求,维护自身利益的博弈点.近年来,我国在生态文明建设领域的异军突起奏响了推进全球生态文明改革进程的乐章,提高了中国在国际生态文明话语领域的音量.伴随中华人民共和国70多年的风雨历程,我国生态文明国际话语权实现了从积蓄中国动力到传播中国声音,从讲好中国故事到阐述中国主张的巨变.构建我国生态文明国际话语权就要统筹全国上下一盘棋,官方民间双重外交齐配合,积极组织多国多边活动,勇担世界生态建设重任.这对巩固我国生态文明建设成果,打造具有中国特色的生态文明话语体系,提高我国在国际舆论阵地中的地位,深度参与全球环境治理具有举足轻重的理论和实践意义.     

Class Notes: Toward a Critical Psychology of Class and Schooling

In this epilogue, we offer a theoretical mapping of notions that have emerged across the articles in this issue of the Journal of Social Issues specifically dedicated to questions of social class. Social class is often included within the "race, class, gender, and sexual orientation" mantra of feminist and critical race work in psychology, but rarely scrutinized with rigor or serious scholarship. Thus, for the purposes of this epilogue, we theorize the relationship between the material, social, psychological, and the political. We identify four theoretical venues through which these researchers have opened a conversation about class and schooling: ideology, institutions, contradictions and consciousness, and method. We conclude by crafting a research agenda for a critical psychology of class and schooling .     

DIY Do’s and Don’ts: Limitations to Building University-Community Partnerships with Low Resource Communities of Color

Communities are becoming more diverse and urban planning programs must train students to work with a range of constituents. Little is known about the role of university-community partnerships involved in tactical urbanism as a method to revitalize low resource communities of color. This paper describes the planning process in a partnership between Florida State University and its surrounding community. We highlight the role of faculty and students in facilitating a studio project in Frenchtown implementing tactical urbanism. It also provides the voices of residents, City officials, and non-profit organizations. We conclude with recommendations to improve university-community partnerships through long-term engagement in surrounding communities.     

Bridging transformational leadership,transparent communication,and employee openness to change: The mediating role of trust

Based on a random sample of employees (n = 439) in the United States, this study examined the effect of transformational leadership and transparent organizational communication on cultivating employee organizational trust during an organizational change event. We also investigated the interplay between transformational leadership, transparent communication, and organizational trust, and their impact on employee openness to change. The findings suggested that transformational leadership and transparent communication were positively associated with employee organizational trust, which in turn, positively influenced employee openness to change. Theoretical and managerial contributions of the study were discussed.     

Assessing PTSD and resilience for females who during childhood were exposed to domestic violence

This study examined 68 females, who as children were exposed to domestic violence, to explore childhood risk and protective factors and their relationship to adult levels of post‐traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and resilience. Independent sample t‐tests indicated significant differences in PTSD levels between participants with and without police involvement during childhood. There were also significant differences in PTSD levels between participants who reported their mothers had mental‐health problems with those who did not. Additionally, participants whose mothers had full‐time steady employment had significantly higher resilience than those with mothers who did not work or worked inconsistently. Implications include advancing ecological theory and conceptual insights regarding childhood risk and protective factors and their association to adult psychological distress and hardiness for daughters exposed to their mothers' intimate partner violence.     

Populism versus neo-liberalism: is there a way forward?

ABSTRACT

Populism is a contested concept. In this conclusion we do not want to rehearse these contestations. Rather, we re-emphasize: the extent of the threat that populism poses for liberal democracy; the failure of most mainstream Economists and Political Science to understand the nature of the threat; and the putative ways of renewing democracy.     

Hierarchically penalized quantile regression with multiple responses

We study variable selection in quantile regression with multiple responses. Instead of applying conventional penalized quantile regression to each response separately, it is desired to solve them simultaneously when the sparsity patterns of the regression coefficients for different responses are similar, which is often the case in practice. In this paper, we propose employing a hierarchical penalty that enables us to detect a common sparsity pattern shared between different responses as well as additional sparsity patterns within the selected variables. We establish the oracle property of the proposed method and demonstrate it offers better performance than existing approaches.

具有不同文化背景的人从事交际的过程就是跨文化交际.本文着重探讨了跨文化交际中的非语言交际.非语言交际与语言交际不同,它的交际行为和交际手段主要有:体态语、副语言、客体语和环境语.前两类可以称为"非语言行为",后两类可称为"非语言手段".我们可以通过对非语言行为之间的文化差异的了解,从而提高跨文化交际的能力.
