Assertive mental health outreach to homeless persons, which operates under the premise that mental illness must be understood and treated within the individual's social and economic environment, points towards the goals of community membership and 'citizenship'—a connection to the rights, responsibilities, roles, and resources that society offers through public and social institutions and informal 'associational life'—for homeless persons. We argue that the concept of citizenship is a useful framework for approaching these goals. We review the principles of assertive mental health outreach and relevant aspects of contemporary citizenship theory; present a case example of outreach leading to a 'citizenship project'; and discuss the potential benefits and pitfalls of a citizenship framework, including strategies and recommendations for program administrators, researchers and policy makers. 相似文献

BackgroundSatisfaction with antenatal care could differ depending on the organisation and the context of care.AimTo compare antenatal care in Australia and Sweden, to identify deficiencies in the content of antenatal care and what aspects contributed most in dissatisfaction with antenatal care.MethodsA longitudinal survey of 123 Australian and 386 Swedish women recruited during one year in regional hospitals in Sweden and Australia. Data collected by three questionnaires.ResultsWomen in Australia had more antenatal visits, less continuity of midwife caregiver but were more satisfied with antenatal education and the emotional aspects of antenatal care. Although the overall satisfaction was high, deficiencies were found in more than half of the studied variables in the content of care. Women in Sweden were more dissatisfied with information about labour and birth (OR 3.1; 1.8–5.3) and information about the time following birth (OR 3.8; 2.2–6.3), but more satisfied with the involvement of the father (OR 0.3; 0.2–0.6). Factors that contributed most to dissatisfaction with antenatal care overall were deficiency in information about pregnancy related issues (OR 3.4; 1.3–8.7) and not being taken seriously by the midwife (OR 4.1; 1.6–10.1).ConclusionSatisfaction with antenatal care was high in both groups of women. Australian women were more satisfied than the Swedish women with the emotional aspects of care. Deficiencies were found in more than half of the variables measured relating to the specific aspects of care. This study examines the relationship between faculty racial/ethnic diversity and graduation rates of undergraduate students, in particular those from underrepresented racial and ethnic minority populations. Using IPEDS data, the researchers calculated a Diversity Score for each institution. Findings suggest U.S. faculty diversity is lower than in the U.S. national population. Overall graduation rates for underrepresented minority students of all races/ethnicities are positively affected by increased diversity of their faculty. 相似文献

She then considers the future of work in the light of three scenarios: a “dismantling of labour law”, a “technological revolution” (where automation brings an end to employment), and an “environmental transition”. 以旧换再补贴政策已经在我国试点施行,相关原型新品和再制品的市场购买行为和企业定价决策受此影响。根据传统销售和售后渠道以及消费者持有旧件质量的不同细分市场,考虑到消费者的"以旧换再"偏好程度构建了制造商分级定价利润模型并分段优化,得到了"以旧换再"补贴下的最优分级定价决策,面向企业给出了旧件分级再制造的成本条件,面向政府给出了授予企业产品补贴资格的参考依据。考虑到再制造领先企业和一般企业再制造条件的不同,采用算例分析展示了补贴对领先企业及一般企业再制造分级定价决策的影响,并分析了消费者"以旧换再"偏好程度的变化对企业分级再制造决策的影响。结果表明,分级定价可以提高再制造系统的整体利润;换购补贴对促进再制造领先企业与一般企业再制造体系发展的积极作用不同,政府应根据产业及企业特点结合其他举措选择实施补贴的时机和补贴比例。 相似文献
