The cost of children: May the collective approach to household behavior help?

The collective approach to household consumption behavior tries to infer from variables supposed to affect the general bargaining position of household members information on the allocation of consumptions goods and tasks among them. This paper investigates the extension of previous work to the case where children may be considered as a public consumption good by the two adult members of a household. The main question being asked is whether it is possible to retrieve from the aggregate consumption behaviour of the household and the relative earnings of the parents information on the allocation of goods between them and children. This alternative approach to the estimation of the ‘cost of children’ is contrasted with the conventional approach based on a ‘unitary’ representation of and demographic separability assumptions on household consumption behaviour. 基于VaR风险控制的半log-最优资产组合模型

通过建立基于VaR风险控制下的单周期半log-最优资产组合数学模型,证明了最优解的存在性与唯一性。利用遗传算法对半log-最优资产组合模型进行了实例计算与分析,并与log-最优资产组合模型进行了比较,结果表明半log-最优资产组合模型具有计算方便的特征。     

文化创意产业的金融抑制现状研究

近年来文化创意产业逐渐成为新时期国民经济增长的新动力,然而由于金融发展水平低下,文化创意产业出现了金融抑制现象。应用MRW模型对中国文化创意产业金融抑制现象进行实证分析,发现文化创意产业价值评估难是导致金融抑制的主要原因。应完善金融机构文化创意产业评估机制,对文化创意产品的内在价值进行合理的评估,进而减缓文化创意产业的金融抑制现象的发生。

我国《刑法》规定的斡旋受贿犯罪是受贿罪的一种特殊表现形式。刑法学界对于斡旋受贿犯罪的独立性及其构成要件等问题一直争论不休,究其原因,主要是我国斡旋受贿犯罪立法本身存在诸多问题。因此,应借鉴《联合国反腐败公约》有关影响力交易罪的规定,对我国斡旋受贿犯罪立法进行重新审视,并对之加以重构。     

Attitudes Toward Women in Health Care Organizations: A Turkish Case Study

Abstract

The aim of this article is to examine the health care employees’ attitudes toward women in health care organizations in Turkey. It was measured using a 25-item scale by Spence, Helmreich, and Stapp (1973 Spence, J. T., Helmreich, R., & Stapp, J. (1973). A short version of the Attitudes toward Women Scale (AWS). Bulletin of the Psychonomic Society, 2(4), 219–220. doi:10.3758/BF03329252[Crossref] , [Google Scholar]). The study was conducted on 541 employees: 279 males and 262 females. Structural equation model (SEM) was applied to analyze the relationship between gender, marital status, and income and attitudes toward woman. The result of this analysis showed that the relations between gender, marital status, and income and attitudes toward woman were statistically significant. All three hypotheses were statistically supported. This result indicated that employees’ marital status and (monthly) income significantly predicted their scores of attitudes toward woman in a positive direction. Besides, employees’ gender significantly predicted their scores of attitudes toward woman in an inverse direction. Future research can focus on investigating the effects of the attitudes toward women on other elements (e.g., performance, motivation, job satisfaction) or a wider sample to reach more generalized results.
