Does formal integration between child welfare and behavioral health agencies result in improved placement stability for adolescents engaged with both systems?

National survey data were used to assess whether child welfare agency ties to behavioral health care providers improved placement stability for adolescents served by both systems. Adolescents initially at home who were later removed tended to have fewer moves when child welfare and behavioral health were in the same larger agency. Joint training of child welfare and behavioral health staff was negatively associated with numbers of moves and numbers of days out of home.

Confucian philosophy and influence on perceived values and behavioural orientations by Taiwan’s millennials

This study examines the millennials’ perceptions of Confucianism and their influence on their personal values and behavioural orientations with a sample from Taiwan to address the research gap in intergenerational and intercultural human resource development (HRD) research. It complements results from western research and offers important insights to worldwide managers and HRD practitioners for talent development and learning-related initiatives when working with employees and organizations with East Asia backgrounds. The concept of Confucius’ process of developing into a virtuous person seems to be rooted in the Taiwanese millennials’ mind, who as guided by Confucius tend to have a primary focus on accumulating knowledge, practicing moral behaviour, and correcting one’s mind and behaviour. Along with the globalization and technology advancement, the sampled millennials hold a strong traditional values of Confucian philosophy; yet, such strong cultural values may be attenuated a great deal after exposing to western culture over times. The Confucian virtue (moral) behaviour practice, harmonious relations, and self-cultivation are found as top three factors of Confucian values. Implications for HRD practices and recommendations for future research are discussed.     

Sleep quality at 3 months postpartum considering maternal age: A comparative study

Background

Poor sleep quality is related to old age among the general population, but few studies have focused on postpartum women of advanced maternal age. The present study aimed to describe and compare sleep quality between women younger or older than 35 years of age at 3 months postpartum, and to examine the related factors.

管理会计存在的问题及其对策研究

生态、价值多元与民主

作为时代主题之一的生态问题,面临价值多元化的局面,多样化的生态价值观念带有各自的生态立场与诉求,在一定程度上表现出不可通约性和不可兼容性。面对生态价值观念的多元性,自由民主制度的偏好聚合模式存在缺陷,需要寻求另一种以偏好转换为核心的公共协商形式,协商民主在理论讨论和制度设计上有利于保护多元性的价值观念和提升生态敏感性。生态政治与民主政治之间可以相互促进,在宪法权利和公民社会两个领域对民主的绿化,将有效地提升民主制度对合理生态价值观念的关注度,并为与环境决策相关的公共协商创造更有利的条件,从而对环境的改善和民主质量的提升产生双赢的效果。     

外部情境因素对城市女性公共环境行为的影响

文章基于心理学中的ABC理论,采用问卷调查和访谈的方法,在肯定以往研究得出的环境态度影响环境行为的基础上,采用分层回归分析重点研究外部情境因素对环境态度与环境行为之间关系的调节作用。统计结果表明:在外部情境因素极其有利的情况下,积极的环境态度能够导致环境行为的发生,当外部情境因素不利的时候,积极的环境态度也不会产生环境行为。这说明了环境态度对环境行为的影响受到外部情境因素的制约,尤其是受到外部情境因素"合作参与"、"参与渠道"、"政策法规"的调节作用。这一结论说明促进城市女性在公共领域的环境行为,除了要培养女性积极的环境态度外,更需要有关部门完善相关的外部情境因素。     

关于与国际惯例接轨的法律思考

中国在对外开放中提出要与国际接轨 ,法律制度是其中一部分。但在认识上人们还有不清晰的地方 ,本文澄清了经常提及的国际惯例的含义 ,论述它的法律性质与作用 ,以及与国际惯例接轨的标准和如何处理好国际惯例与国内法的关系。     

Using chopsticks to eat steak

"Rice queens," "small dicks," and "Asian take-aways," are just a few of the stereotypes that Asian gay men are faced with in Sydney's gay culture. Even though the author grew up in and quickly assimilated to the general Australian society, he felt like an outsider when he came out and moved into the gay community, where race-based sexual perceptions appear to dominate. This article is a personal exploration of how one Asian gay man came to find a place for himself within the predominantly white-oriented gay community. For the benefit of linguistically challenged readers, a glossary of Australian terms is provided at the end of this very serious article.     

边界人员角色模糊及其结果:管理控制及其与角色导向匹配的作用

不同于以往研究的企业内部视角,本文聚焦于渠道关系中边界人员的角色模糊问题,实证检验了不同管理控制方式及其与边界人员角色导向的匹配对边界人员角色模糊感知的影响,同时检验了边界人员角色模糊对工作绩效和关系满意的影响。研究发现,结果控制与行为控制都会减少边界人员角色模糊。管理者的结果控制与朋友角色导向的边界人员相匹配,有利于减少角色模糊。角色模糊不利于提升边界人员的工作绩效和关系满意。在此基础上,对研究结果及理论意义进行了讨论,并给出相应的管理建议和未来研究方向。
