Objective Bayesian Analysis for Log-logistic Distribution

In this article, Bayesian approach is applied to estimate the parameters of Log-logistic distribution under reference prior and Jeffreys’ prior. The reference prior is derived and it is found that the reference prior is also a second-order matching priors as for the case of any parameter of interest. The Bayesian estimators cannot be obtained in explicit forms. Metropolis within Gibbs sampling algorithm is used to obtain the Bayesian estimators. The Bayesian estimates are compared with the maximum likelihood estimates via simulation study. A real dataset is considered for illustrative purposes.

Economic and psychological explanations for strategic persistence

Strategic management researchers are showing increasing interest in the question of why companies persist in questionable strategies. In this paper, two types of explanations for strategic persistence are discussed. Specific explanations from the economic and psychological perspectives are reviewed. An integrated approach is developed which shows how economic and psychological factors may interact to encourage this type of persistence.     

ON A GENERAL DISTRIBUTION THEORY FOR A CLASS OF LIKELIHOOD RATIO CRITERIA

In this paper the exact distribution of a statistic with general moment function has been derived in a gamma series and also in a beta series. It is shown that the Box expansion can be obtained from the gamma series by collecting terms of the same order.

递归等权组合预测方法研究

文献[1]提出了递归等权组合预测方法(RFW),对在两种方法组合的情况下进行了一些有益的探讨,但是对一般情况下REW法的有效性和收敛性问题并未涉及。本文从理论上证明,在一般情况下,REW是收敛的,且REW法导出的加权组合预测方法至少是非劣性組合预测方法,从而在理伦上保证了REW法的可操作性。     

房地产金融风险防范之私法视角——关于保证保险的案例和比较法研究

房地产抵押贷款保证保险首先兴起于美国,后被其它国家所效仿.其功能在于分散风险,使债权信用增级,有利于房地产二级市场的形成发展并可促进交易的实现.保证保险属于保险而非保证,因此应适用<保险法>而不适用<担保法>的规定,但因其担保功能又不同于一般的保险.案例分析与比较法研究得出的结论是我国应吸取其它国家在房地产金融风险防范方面的经验教训,借鉴国外成熟的立法而对其作出制度设计.     

论春秋时期孔子不为列国所用的原因

孔子一生有志于仕途 ,希望以此实现自己的政治抱负 ,但他的学说在春秋时代并未真正获得各诸侯国执政者的赏识 ,主要原因有二 :其一 ,尽管孔子是以“仁”作为其学说的核心 ,但他好周礼 ,把“礼”视为“仁”的外在表现形式 ,欲以“礼”规范“仁” ,并以“复礼”作为其政治纲领 ,不合时宜 ;其二 ,孔子迂阔、直傲、不苟且的性情虽然难能可贵 ,但却使自己显得更象个狷者、狂者 ,而不适合从政 ,他既不愿降志辱身以求进取 ,被排除在官场之外 ,实乃必然之事。
