论康德和黑格尔的存在观

国内学者单独讨论存在理论和谓词理论的文章不少,但将两者结合起来研究的有限。康德明确区分存在和谓词,或者说逻辑的谓词和实在的谓词,后者按照弗雷格的理论就是直接对对象进行谓述的一阶概念;黑格尔则扬弃了康德这种区分。透过黑格尔对存在和谓词对立关系的扬弃,我们看到的是他对分析命题与综合命题对立关系的扬弃。

A System of Sustainability Indicators for the Province of Thai Binh,Vietnam

Sustainable Development is a broad and universal concept. Indicators are a basis to measure sustainability and to direct policies that aim to achieve a better quality of life. Thai Binh, a coastal province in North Vietnam is strongly concerned about strategic sustainability development. To select a system of sustainability indicators, the Delphi method was applied in 2012. A two-round questionnaire was organized to use with 32 experts, who acted as participants. 69 indicators were selected from 98 listed indicators: 15 related to economic development, 5 to the sea and coastal zone, 1 to the global economic partnership, 4 to consumption and production patterns, 7 to poverty, 3 to governance, 9 to health, 4 to education, 3 to demographics, 2 to natural hazards, 5 to atmosphere, 7 to land, and 3 to freshwater. Conversely, 29 other indicators were rejected. The Delphi method allows indicator selection for identification of the process of sustainability. The system of indicators, as the first important step of the sustainable development process, provides useful information for decision makers and planners as well sustainability strategy. It is planned that the indicators selected should be applied in the province.     

Aging in check

The spindle checkpoint monitors the interaction between spindle microtubules and kinetochores to prevent precocious entry into anaphase, delaying this stage of mitosis until all condensed chromosomes have been attached to the mitotic spindle in a bi-oriented manner (so that the two kinetochores associated with a pair of sister chromatids are oriented toward opposite poles of the spindle). In addition to conserved Bub and Mad family members, which are known to function in the spindle checkpoint pathway in organisms ranging from yeast to mammals, two mRNA transport genes, Rae1 and Nup9, are also involved in the spindle checkpoint function in mammals. Biochemically, activated spindle checkpoint components have been shown to suppress the activity of the anaphase promoting complex/cyclosome. It is generally thought that decreased activity of the checkpoint components predisposes cells to chromosomal instability, aneuploidy, and malignant transformation. Interestingly, a recent study has shed light on a new function of the spindle checkpoint components Bub3 and Rae1 in the regulation of aging. Mice with haploinsufficiency of Bub3 and Rae1 have a short life span that is associated with the early onset of aging-related features. The progeroid phenotypes caused by deficiency of Bub3 and Rae1 are tightly linked to precocious activation of cellular senescence, but not apoptotic, programs. Therefore, premature aging, rather than neoplastic transformation, may be the major manifestation of a compromised spindle checkpoint in vivo.

Modelling Survival Events with Longitudinal Covariates Measured with Error

In survival analysis, time-dependent covariates are usually present as longitudinal data collected periodically and measured with error. The longitudinal data can be assumed to follow a linear mixed effect model and Cox regression models may be used for modelling of survival events. The hazard rate of survival times depends on the underlying time-dependent covariate measured with error, which may be described by random effects. Most existing methods proposed for such models assume a parametric distribution assumption on the random effects and specify a normally distributed error term for the linear mixed effect model. These assumptions may not be always valid in practice. In this article, we propose a new likelihood method for Cox regression models with error-contaminated time-dependent covariates. The proposed method does not require any parametric distribution assumption on random effects and random errors. Asymptotic properties for parameter estimators are provided. Simulation results show that under certain situations the proposed methods are more efficient than the existing methods.
