论新时代大学生思想政治教育质量提升理路

在新时代的宏大背景下,“三个意味着”的大学生思想政治教育新使命、“扎根中国大地办大学”的思想政治教育新定位、“关键在党”的大学生思想政治教育新保证、“德育为先、德学兼修”的大学生思想政治教育新路向、“四有好老师”与“四个引路人”的大学生思想政治教育新师表,丰富了大学生思想政治教育的新内涵。同时,新时代这一特定历史时期也存在大学生思想政治教育职能职责转移弱化、心理问题处置泛化、教师言传身教异化、辅导员队伍低龄化和专业课程育人虚化等五个问题。以习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想为指导,可尝试从把准大学生思想政治教育职能定位、完善大学生思想政治教育内容体系、改进大学生思想政治教育工作方法、建好大学生思想政治教育工作队伍等方面构建提升大学生思想政治教育质量的理路。     

Does smoking have a causal effect on weight reduction?

This study examines the relationship between smoking and body mass index (BMI) with a simultaneous equations system allowing for censoring and endogeneity of the number of cigarettes smoked, which alleviates simultaneity bias caused by unobserved heterogeneity and expansion bias by censoring in the regressor. The results suggest smoking may not have a strong long-term causal effect on body weight after controlling for the endogeneity. The negative relationship between smoking and BMI reported in the literature is potentially attributable to the aforementioned biases and should be interpreted with caution. The statistical procedure developed can be useful in other applications with a censored endogenous regressor.

Exponentially weighted moving average control charts for three-level products

In this paper, exponentially weighted moving average (EWMA) control charts for multinomial data are developed with a three-level classification scheme. The lower and upper control limits of the proposed EWMA control chart are evaluated using Markov chain approximation. Compared with the three-level Shewhart control chart, numerical results indicate that the proposed EWMA control chart is relatively sensitive to small shifts in a three-level multinomial process. A figure and a table are provided for practitioners to select the value of chart limit coefficient that gives the desired in-control average run length.

＂大跃进＂时期,全国范围内在工业界掀起了一场声势浩大的所谓＂技术革命＂运动。但是,这场运动是在政治挂帅的旗帜下进行的,弥漫着＂大跃进＂时期的狂热＂左＂倾气氛,主要依靠发动下层群众的方式,而忽视了技术发展固有的规律。这场运动不仅未促进技术的发展,反而造成了极大的浪费和危害,因此只是一场科技浮夸。而当时错误的知识分子政策,亦是造成＂技术革命＂运动南辕北辙的重要原因。     

金融危机对我国中小企业的影响及企业应对策略研究——基于长三角与广东省的对比分析

本文根据在广州召开的第六届中国国际中小企业博览会的问卷调查,考察了金融危机对我国中小企业的影响及企业的应对策略,并就各项考察内容对长三角和广东省的中小企业进行对比研究。在此基础上对企业的进一步发展及政府的帮扶政策提出建议。

The Invisible Unattended: Low‐wage Chinese Immigrant Workers,Health Care,and Social Capital in Southern California’s San Gabriel Valley*

This study investigates the factors affecting the availability of health insurance, the accessibility of health care, and the dissemination of the relevant information among low‐wage Chinese immigrants in Southern California by relying on the concepts of social and cultural capital. Using community‐based research and in‐depth interviews, our study suggests that a severe shortage in health care coverage among low‐wage Chinese immigrants is influenced by the lack of employment with employer‐provided health insurance within the Chinese “ethnoburb” community. Although the valuable social capital generated by Chinese immigrant networks seems to be sufficient enough to provide them with certain practical resources, the lack of cultural capital renders the social network rather ineffective in providing critical health care information from mainstream American society.
