South Korean society is in transition toward a multicultural society. Integrating multicultural education into current citizenship education is challenging for the society. Historically, many national tragedies have created the unique characteristics of what being Korean means. South Korean social studies curriculum emphasized that Korea is a monolithic society with one language, one history, and one ethnicity. In recent years, however, the number of foreigners living in South Korea dramatically increases because of work, study, and marriage. As they become be members of Korean society, it is necessary that South Koreans acknowledge diverse groups in the society and revise a long-held belief about who we, as Koreans, are. To this end, the Korean social studies curriculum should include more information about as well as respect and promote ethnic, cultural, and social diversity. In many Western countries, more and more people are living longer. As part of this demographic shift, increasing numbers are
participating in Masters sport. In the past, sport was considered important for the development of young people; however,
the potential for sport participation to affect positive development across the lifespan is now recognized. The purpose of
this paper is to introduce conceptual frameworks from developmental psychology that are being used to understand youths’ positive
development through sport, and to explore these frameworks in the context of sport as an avenue for positive development in
older persons. To achieve this aim, we outline research on sport participation as it applies to youth development and consider
relevant aspects as they broadly apply to development later in life. This discussion highlights the inherent paradox of sport
participation—that it has the potential to provide considerable positive growth but also the potential for significant negative

We develop a simple OLG model to analytically show that aging leads to increased educational efforts through a general equilibrium
effect. The mechanism is that scarcity of raw labor increases the return of human relative to physical capital. While a reduction
in the birth rate is shown to unambiguously increase educational efforts, increases in the survival rate have ambiguous effects.
Falling birth rates also increase capital per worker, but the effects of rising survival rates are again ambiguous. We conclude
that our model is a useful laboratory to highlight potentially offsetting effects in models with endogenous education and

Cien pacientes de hipertensión arterial esencial y cien profesionales de la salud (médicos y de enfermería) respondieron a los cuestionarios especialmente elaborados para este trabajo.El cumplimiento terapéutico lo valoramos mediante una medida combinada de autoinforme y consecución de los objetivos terapéuticos. Los resultados mostraron que el rol del paciente podría evaluarse por los profesionales sanitarios en función de tres dimensiones fundamentales (obediencia/resistencia hacia la asistencia sanitaria; confianza/desconfianza hacia los profesionales sanitarios y cumplimiento/incumplimiento hacia los tratamientos terapéuticos). El rol de médico percibido por los pacientes se definió de forma más amplia y exigente que el rol de la enfermera. Y por último, observamos diferencias entre los pacientes cumplidores y los incumplidores respecto a algunas características atribuidas al rol del médico. 相似文献

We built three simulation models that can assist rail transit planners and operators to evaluate high and low probability rail‐centered hazard events that could lead to serious consequences for rail‐centered networks and their surrounding regions. Our key objective is to provide these models to users who, through planning with these models, can prevent events or more effectively react to them. The first of the three models is an industrial systems simulation tool that closely replicates rail passenger traffic flows between New York Penn Station and Trenton, New Jersey. Second, we built and used a line source plume model to trace chemical plumes released by a slow‐moving freight train that could impact rail passengers, as well as people in surrounding areas. Third, we crafted an economic simulation model that estimates the regional economic consequences of a variety of rail‐related hazard events through the year 2020. Each model can work independently of the others. However, used together they help provide a coherent story about what could happen and set the stage for planning that should make rail‐centered transport systems more resistant and resilient to hazard events.
