Internationally, while the interdisciplinary field of family therapy and systemic practices is well established and evidence for therapeutic impact is advanced, evaluation of training and measurement of its impact lags behind. This paper addresses this gap, utilising a single case study at the Bouverie Centre, the largest family therapy and workforce development service in Australia. We describe (a) the scope of workforce training and implementation at the Centre, (b) the development of our training research and evaluation framework, and (c) standardised data collection methodology, including a pre-post training reflective survey. Collectively, this work comprises our current evaluation framework through which we will subsequently examine training impact. Future research and practice recommendations are offered to address challenges to workforce training evaluation and progress efficacy of family therapy training. 相似文献
In the multiprocessor scheduling problem to minimize the total job completion time, an optimal schedule can be obtained by the shortest processing time rule and the completion time of each job in the schedule can be used as a guarantee for scheduling revenue. However, in practice, some jobs will not arrive at the beginning of the schedule but are delayed and their delayed arrival times are given to the decision-maker for possible rescheduling. The decision-maker can choose to reject some jobs in order to minimize the total operational cost that includes three cost components: the total rejection cost of the rejected jobs, the total completion time of the accepted jobs, and the penalty on the maximum tardiness for the accepted jobs, for which their completion times in the planned schedule are their virtual due dates. This novel rescheduling problem generalizes several classic NP-hard scheduling problems. We first design a pseudo-polynomial time dynamic programming exact algorithm and then, when the tardiness can be unbounded, we develop it into a fully polynomial time approximation scheme. The dynamic programming exact algorithm has a space complexity too high for truthful implementation; we propose an alternative to integrate the enumeration and the dynamic programming recurrences, followed by a depth-first-search walk in the reschedule space. We implemented the alternative exact algorithm in C and conducted numerical experiments to demonstrate its promising performance.
Most Asian countries are regarded as Confucian countries although each has its own historical and cultural background. Little is known about how people in different Asian countries perceive their family boundaries. This study is an attempt to compare the perception of the family in China, Japan, and Korea. We examined the family perception and found substantial differences among the three. Chinese people showed the widest and paternally extended perception of family. Data from people in Korea nearly matched data from China, but family perception developed bilaterally. People in Japan, however, perceived only blood-tied, intimate relations as family members. In addition, the perception of the family was not substantially different between the genders in Japan and China, but in South Korea, men perceived family boundaries more widely than women, implying that women have a greater family burden than men in Korea. Considering the heterogeneity in family perceptions in these countries, this paper tries to explain how social institutions interact with individuals and impact the perception of family. Finally, this paper concludes that it is inappropriate to tie the three East Asian countries as ‘Confucian civilizations’ in terms of family perception. 相似文献
