从“普——方——古”的角度探究量词

一般的教科书和语法学书中,对量词主要讲它的分类、语法特点。但从整体而言,量词丰富是现代汉语语法中的一大特点。在实际运用中,量词用得非常普遍,也很生动,因而现代研究探讨量词的特点、功能、作用的文章不少。有的谈量词的分类;有的谈量词的语法功能;有的具体到物量词中的个体量词或借用量词;有的谈动量词;有的谈量词的修辞效果等等。而本文主要想立足于整个量词,尝试运用历史语言学的研究方法,从大三角(普通话、方言和古代汉语)的角度来探究量词。

The destination decision of political migrants

This paper deals with the destination decision of political migrants who, in spite of having strong cultural, ideological and religious ties to a particular potential destination, choose to emigrate elsewhere. The model presented characterizes the migrants, who have a choice of two possible destinations, by two properties, skill level and financial resources, and identifies those that move to each destination. The paper examines various immigration-encouraging policies and shows that although all of them will increase immigration, in some cases the economic quality of the new immigrants will rise and in some it will fall. This paper includes general evidence on the present immigration to Israel and some suggestions for empirical tests.Supported by the Schnitzer Foundation for Research on the Israeli Society and Economy.We would like to thank two anonymous referees for their valuable comments which simplified the presentation.     

Data collection: are social workers reliable?

Social workers are required to collect a considerable amount of personal information about clients and their families which may be unrelated to direct clinical work. Administrators often use this for the purpose of payment, service documentation, agency planning, and accountability. The worker's concern about the appropriateness of collecting this data may result in poor compliance or even falsification of information. In a survey of Minnesota social workers, noncompliance with data collection requirements was substantial. The authors also found a significant degree of conflict about privacy and confidentiality issues. These findings suggest a basis of concern for those who must rely on accurate data for administrative planning.     

East-west vs. south-north migration: effects upon the recruitment areas of the 1960s

It then compares political discourse on immigration in France and Germany. It concludes that the resurgence of ethnic identity as the basis for effective political action in widely divergent societies is a key feature of the post-Cold War period."
