英语写作初学者学习日记写作的重要性(英文)

如何有效地引导初学者学习英语写作,在英语写作教学研究领域这一直都是个备受热议的话题。本文从三个方面简要分析了日记写作在教授这类学生英语写作中的重要性,旨在为如何提升低水平学生或初学者英语写作水平提供参考。     

Chinese Rural Health-Seeking Behaviour and the Dilemma of Sufferers of Chronic Sickness: A Case Study from Inner Mongolia

Chinese society is entering a ‘period of chronic sickness’, especially hypertension, hyperglycemia and hyperlipidemia, resulting from a more easily available diet rich in animal fat and protein. The damage is greatest in rural areas where medical and welfare facilities are limited and patients present late, which they justify as needing to continue farming despite sickness. Thus, contrary to Parsons’s observation regarding Western medical treatment, a patient’s sick role is neither ‘deviant’ nor separated from their everyday social role and lifestyle. Villagers might however be officially encouraged to regard biomedical, religious and traditional folk therapies as neither old-fashioned nor in conflict, but as a spectrum providing emotional/psychological and sometimes physical benefit, reinforced by returning to the greater community and family care existing before village social fragmentation. This recreation of a holistic perspective could enhance the quality of rural life, especially of chronic sickness sufferers.     

Variance Function Regression in Hierarchical Age-Period-Cohort Models: Applications to the Study of Self-Reported Health

Two long-standing research problems of interest to sociologists are sources of variations in social inequalities and differential contributions of the temporal dimensions of age, time period, and cohort to variations in social phenomena. Recently, scholars have introduced a model called Variance Function Regression for the study of the former problem, and a model called Hierarchical Age-Period-Cohort regression has been developed for the study of the latter. This article presents an integration of these two models as a means to study the evolution of social inequalities along distinct temporal dimensions. We apply the integrated model to survey data on subjective health status. We find substantial age, period, and cohort effects, as well as gender differences, not only for the conditional mean of self-rated health (i.e., between-group disparities), but also for the variance in this mean (i.e., within-group disparities)-and it is detection of age, period, and cohort variations in the latter disparities that application of the integrated model permits. Net of effects of age and individual-level covariates, in recent decades, cohort differences in conditional means of self-rated health have been less important than period differences that cut across all cohorts. By contrast, cohort differences of variances in these conditional means have dominated period differences. In particular, post-baby boom birth cohorts show significant and increasing levels of within-group disparities. These findings illustrate how the integrated model provides a powerful framework through which to identify and study the evolution of variations in social inequalities across age, period, and cohort temporal dimensions. Accordingly, this model should be broadly applicable to the study of social inequality in many different substantive contexts.     

A probabilistic approach to Wallis’ formula

We present an alternative proof of Wallis’ formula from the probabilistic point of view. Based on the classical central limit theorem, some discrete distributions with additive property, such as binomial, negative binomial, Poisson and multinomial distributions, are considered to derive π/2.     

人—工作匹配对员工工作幸福感的作用机制研究

基于社会交换理论,通过对209名员工2个时点的配对问卷调查,探讨了人—工作匹配和工作幸福感的关系及其作用机制,尤其是工作卷入的中介作用和工作技能的调节作用。结果发现:人—工作匹配对工作幸福感具有显著的正向作用;工作卷入在人—工作匹配和工作幸福感之间起部分中介作用;工作技能在人—工作匹配和工作卷入之间起调节作用,即工作技能水平越高,人—工作匹配对工作卷入的正向影响越强。     

MOSUM monitoring for variance change in nonparametric regression models

ABSTRACT

This article considers the monitoring for variance change in nonparametric regression models. First, the local linear estimator of the regression function is given. A moving square cumulative sum procedure is proposed based on residuals of the estimator. And the asymptotic results of the statistic under the null hypothesis and the alternative hypothesis are obtained. Simulations and Application support our procedure.     

Solution to the hazard function of some two-stage carcinogenesis models when normal cell growth is piecewise linear

A closed form expression is obtained for the hazard function for three stochastic two-stage carcinogenesis models, when the normal cell growth is assumed to be piecewise linear.
