Variable selection for semiparametric proportional hazards model under progressive Type-II censoring

Variable selection is an effective methodology for dealing with models with numerous covariates. We consider the methods of variable selection for semiparametric Cox proportional hazards model under the progressive Type-II censoring scheme. The Cox proportional hazards model is used to model the influence coefficients of the environmental covariates. By applying Breslow’s “least information” idea, we obtain a profile likelihood function to estimate the coefficients. Lasso-type penalized profile likelihood estimation as well as stepwise variable selection method are explored as means to find the important covariates. Numerical simulations are conducted and Veteran’s Administration Lung Cancer data are exploited to evaluate the performance of the proposed method.     

The heterogeneous impact of pension income on elderly living arrangements: evidence from China’s new rural pension scheme

This paper investigates the impact of pension income on living arrangements of the elderly. Taking advantage of a unique opportunity due to the recent establishment and expansion of the New Rural Pension Scheme in China, we explicitly address the endogeneity of pension status and pension income through a fixed-effect model with instrumental variable approach by exploiting exogenous time variation in the program implementation at county level. We find an overall positive effect of pension income on independent living as well as considerable heterogeneity. The positive income effects of the NRPS are concentrated among the elderly with adult children living nearby, of higher socio-economic status, and with better health at baseline; for other groups, the effects are insignificant. We also find that more generous programs exhibit larger effects. Our results highlight that living arrangement is multidimensional in rural China.     

摩梭母系婚姻家庭形态研究的再思考

中国西南地区泸沽湖周围的摩梭人,至今仍保留着母系家庭与母系文化,这从一个重要方面展现了中华文化及人类社会文化的多样性.近年来,由于经济社会发展的不断加快,摩梭母系家庭数量已明显减少,余下的母系家庭也渐"空壳化".在摩梭母系文化面临解体之时,学术界应深入研究,为这一文化的保护提供参考.泸沽湖周边摩梭母系婚姻家庭的出现与长期延续,除与其居住地特殊自然、地理环境有关外,还与其族源有关.泸沽湖摩梭人的母系文化虽然有其特点,但应是川滇之间历史上曾存在的"母系文化带"的一部份.摩梭社会中出现母系、父系及双系家庭并存现象有着经济、政治、文化等多方面的原因,但双系家庭并非母系家庭与父系家庭间的过渡.摩梭母系文化的深入研究,还应注意与四川甘孜道孚县扎巴母系文化作比较,这样既可更多的更大范围的了解"母系文化带",也可加深对泸沽湖边摩梭母系文化特点的认识.     

The reproductive health indices and sex hormone levels in middle-aged and elderly Chinese men

Objective: The aim of this study was to analyze the age-related recession trajectory of reproductive health indices in middle-aged and elderly Chinese men.

Methods: A population-based cross-sectional study was conducted in Jiashan County, Zhejiang in 2012. Healthy men between 40 and 80 years of age were considered eligible for the study. Physical examination and the sex hormones were measured. The subjects were assessed based on the 5-item version of the International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF-5) for Erectile Dysfunction (ED), and Aging Males’ Symptoms (AMS) scale for Symptomatic Late-Onset Hypogonadism (SLOH).

Results: TG showed a decrease at age 60 years. Testis volume and TT did not show significant difference among the four age groups; cFT began to decrease at age 50 years and Bio-T decreased faster at age 50 years. SHBG and LH increased faster at age 50 and 70 years, respectively. IIEF5 score decrease faster at age 60 years. AMS scores increased faster at age 70 years. With the increase in age, the symptoms of ED and SLOH became severer.

Conclusion: Different indices on reproductive health of men showed turning points at different ages. At first, androgenic sex hormones decreased faster, and then erectile dysfunction got severer, and the last overall male syndromes declined.     

农村空巢老人养老问题及其对策

由于我国长期存在城乡二元社会结构,使农村社会保障制度极不完善,再加上我国＂未富先老＂、当前农村家庭养老功能弱化等原因,使我国农村老年人特别是空巢老人的养老问题比较突出。要解决农村老人特别是农村空巢老人的养老问题,需要全社会关注并采取积极有效的应对措施。     

论当前中国房屋拆迁中的权利保护

住房权是人权的一项基本内容。目前,我国城市化进程中房屋拆迁征收的法律依据、拆迁机制、权利保障和拆迁行为不完全适应并满足权利保障需要。完善拆迁法律规范,建立健全防止利益冲突机制,严格执行国家法律法规,不仅关系社会和谐稳定,亦关系政治稳定与政府形象。     

关于高校硕士生马克思主义理论课教学创新的探讨

当前,面对国际国内形势的深刻变化,高校硕士生马克思主义理论课教学呈现出许多与形势发展不相适应的问题,其中较为突出的是教学理念、教学内容和教学方法的不适应,必须进行改革。高校硕士生马克思主义理论课教学的理念创新,重在突出人的本性;教学内容创新,在于引导学生在读马列原著和掌握中国特色社会主义理论体系上下功夫;教学方法创新,重在发挥学生的主体性。     

心理学视角下的大学生道德人格问题

道德人格是影响大学生道德活动的心理基础,在培养大学生成为现代化合格建设人才中起着重要作用。若大学生道德人格出现问题,即使其他方面再优秀,也不能称其为合格人才。从心理学视角出发,道德人格问题存在于认知、情感和行为三个方面。借鉴心理辅导的相关理论,可以更好地研究和探讨如何纠正大学生道德人格问题以及激发大学生成长潜能,使之自觉反省,完善自己的道德人格。     

资源型地区企业社会责任信息披露的研究

随着社会责任意识的提高,企业披露社会责任信息逐渐成为一项基本义务。本文根据深市和沪市属于资源型地区的115家上市公司2009年的财务报告及社会责任报告,分析资源型地区企业社会责任信息披露的现状,发现资源型地区上市公司披露社会责任信息存在质量不高、比例不高、缺乏可比性,且社会责任报告大多数未经过审验等问题。为解决以上问题,应采取完善社会责任信息、尽快制定有关法律法规、规范信息披露的内容和形式、加强对信息披露的的监督、扩充财务报告等措施。

意境的创造离不开情与景两大因素以及由情景融合而产生的审美想象空间。换个角度思考,就是说意境的创造必须能很好地表达作者的某种情感倾向,且意境创造的特征应具有多重性。《古诗十九首》意境的创造就是这种创作理论的典型实践,《古诗十九首》呈现出情景交融的表现方法特征、虚实相生的结构特征、韵味无穷的审美特征。《古诗十九首》还开创了悲情意境创造的先河,成就了它"汉代五言诗之冠冕"的美誉。
