Effect of Seminar on Compassion on student self-compassion,mindfulness and well-being: A randomized controlled trial

ABSTRACT

Objective: Mindfulness-based interventions have been shown to have psychological benefits in college students. We explored the effects of an academic Seminar on Compassion on student psychological health. Participants: Forty-one participants (14 male, 27 female, mean age 19.8 ± 1.4 years) were assessed pre- and post- spring semesters 2013 and 2014. Methods: Students were randomized to the Seminar on Compassion or a wait-list control group. Participants completed self-report measures on anxiety, depression, perceived stress, self-compassion, compassion and mindfulness. Salivary alpha-amylase was also assessed. Results: At baseline, self-compassion and mindfulness were negatively correlated with depression, anxiety, and perceived stress. There were significant changes between the intervention and control group from Time 1 to Time 2 in mindfulness, self-compassion, compassion, and salivary alpha-amylase; however, there were no significant changes in depression, anxiety, and perceived stress. Conclusions: The course was effective in increasing mindfulness, self-compassion and compassion, and decreasing a salivary marker of stress.     

Four (Pathological) Examples in Asymptotic Statistics

Four simple examples illustrating varieties of pathological asymptotic behavior are presented. The examples are based on some recent work on l ₁ asymptotics. The examples have some pedagogical value in clarifying the role of certain standard regularity conditions.     

基于农业产业化的农民科技培训需求意愿分析——以陕西省948个猕猴桃种植户为例

农民科技培训是农业产业化进程中从传统农业向现代农业转变的重要途径。以对陕西省猕猴桃主产区948个种植户的调查数据为基础,利用有序Logit回归模型构建实证检验模型,探讨影响农民科技培训需求意愿的因素。研究结果显示,农户是否寻求合作社科技支持、采用新技术和新品种的行为、培训对增产增收的效果和政府惠农政策对培训需求的影响较为显著。这说明,除了以往学者研究的农户个体特征和家庭资本特征外,农民合作社、农户对农业科技的态度和政府惠农政策也是影响农民科技培训需求意愿的显著性因素。     

Incremental modelling for compositional data streams

ABSTRACT

Incremental modelling of data streams is of great practical importance, as shown by its applications in advertising and financial data analysis. We propose two incremental covariance matrix decomposition methods for a compositional data type. The first method, exact incremental covariance decomposition of compositional data (C-EICD), gives an exact decomposition result. The second method, covariance-free incremental covariance decomposition of compositional data (C-CICD), is an approximate algorithm that can efficiently compute high-dimensional cases. Based on these two methods, many frequently used compositional statistical models can be incrementally calculated. We take multiple linear regression and principle component analysis as examples to illustrate the utility of the proposed methods via extensive simulation studies.     

新型农村社会养老保险制度分析——以北京市为例

以北京市新型农村社会养老制度为例,运用文献法和比较法,系统地勾勒出新制度相比于旧农村社会养老保险制度的进步之处,同时指出新制度目前仍存在着政府责任过重、制度设计不合理等问题。对此,应该严格精算未来可能发生的基金需求,并且通过市场化运营个人账户养老金的方式,使制度变得更加有效率。     

外层空间法五大条约的现状及面临的挑战

《外空条约》等五大条约是外层空间法的基本内容,也是撑起外层空间法大厦的五根柱子。这五大条约共同确立了外层空间法的各项基本制度。时至今日,它们又各自面临一定的问题和挑战。五大条约面临的这些问题与挑战能否很好地解决,是外层空间法健康发展的关键。     

酒店内部服务质量评价指标体系研究

基于文献回顾和专家访谈,探讨了酒店内部服务质量管理的关键流程,建立了酒店内部服务质量评价指标体系。以6家酒店的273位员工为实证样本,运用SPSS15.0软件进行信度和效度检验,并采用因子分析法对指标体系进行定量分析。研究结果表明,酒店内部服务质量评价指标体系包括5个维度,其相对重要性从大到小依次是质量文化、服务保障、服务评估、服务沟通和服务设计。最后,结合酒店管理实践,提出了实施服务质量管理战略、打造质量文化、提供服务保障等提升内部服务质量的建议。     

合肥科技场馆科技文化传播存在的问题与对策

合肥市科技场馆经历了十五六年的建设,取得了一系列成效:培育了数百万科技传播对象;提高了合肥公民整体科学素养水平;激发了青少年的科学兴趣;培养了青少年创新意识与创新能力;培育了初具规模的专业科普人才队伍。但仍然存在一系列有待改进的地方:科普资源配置有待改进;科技文化传播能力有待提高;科技场馆管理机制有待完善。建议整合并统筹利用科普资源,建立共建共享机制;完善专业科学传播者队伍结构,更新社区科技场馆科普设备,提高科学文化传播能力;建立科普志愿者长效机制,完善第三方托管运营的监管机制,健全科技场馆管理机制。

牟宗三对康德思想分析转换之一,是将康德哲学里只是消极意味的物自身概念转换成一个积极的、价值意味的概念,并通过智的直觉可以被给予.牟宗三认为康德对现象与物自身的区分是超越的区分,但康德只把这一区分若隐若显地预设在那里,所以康德只集成了物自身的消极意义而未集成其积极意义.牟宗三由此依中国哲学,尤其是儒家哲学资源将康德的物自身概念从一个具有事实意味的概念转换成一个具有价值意味的概念.
