The factor score determinacy coefficient represents the common variance of the factor score predictor with the corresponding factor. The aim of the present simulation study was to compare the bias of determinacy coefficients based on different estimation methods of the exploratory factor model. Overall, determinacy coefficients computed from parameters based on maximum likelihood estimation, unweighted least squares estimation, and principal axis factoring were more precise than determinacy coefficients based on generalized least squares estimation and alpha factoring. 相似文献

Following the organizational learning theory and the knowledge‐based view approach, this contribution aims to study the influence of entrepreneurial orientation and learning orientation on organizational learning, considering the latter as a mediating variable in the relationships between both antecedent cultural values and business performance. We also analyse the moderating role of organizational size on these previous relationships. The hypotheses proposed in our research model are tested on a sample of 140 Spanish industrial companies, applying variance‐based structural equation modelling: partial least squares. In order to assess the moderating effects of organizational size, we adopt a multi‐group approach using two subsamples with large firms and small and medium‐sized enterprises (SMEs). Our findings indicate that organizational learning partially mediates the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and performance and fully mediates the link between learning orientation and performance. Likewise, the results reveal that the relationship established between entrepreneurial orientation and organizational learning is more intense for the group of large firms than for the group of SMEs. Moreover, the influence of learning orientation on organizational learning is greater in SMEs than in large firms. 相似文献

Evaluations of regional welfare conventionally rely on Gross Value Added (GVA) per capita as an indicator of well-being. This
paper attempts to re-address the regional welfare issue using alternative indicators to per capita income. With this aim,
a database for the Spanish regions (NUTS II) has been constructed for the period 1980–2001 and an augmented version of the
United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Human Development Index (HDI) has been estimated incorporating indicators of health,
education and per capita income. The results show that, whereas regional income per capita disparities have remained constant,
regional convergence in the Augmented Human Development Index (AHDI) was achieved between 1980 and 2001. None the less, there

While considerable research has highlighted the factors that increase gay youth suicide risk, there has been much less emphasis on protective factors. Using grounded theory methodology, we explored the suicide resiliency in eight young gay men in Aotearoa/New Zealand. Common themes emerged, including positive social norms and conditions, high levels of support, identification with role models and high self-esteem. These were integrated with "known" risk factors to form the Seesaw Model of Gay Male Suicide. This model demonstrates that the balance between risk and resiliency may be the key to gay suicide. Depending on the balance of these factors, youth might either be resilient, attempt suicide, or teeter somewhere in between. The current findings indicate that gay youth suicide prevention requires efforts to increase resiliency factors for this group. 相似文献

Within the general frame of proposals for an adequate management of business ethics, this paper is based on the vision of corporate culture as a pattern to achieve such purpose. If we consider ethics as a specific value of corporate culture, we may resort to the mechanism of cultural change and implementation in order to manage ethics. Despite the difficulties it entails in terms of time and money investment, this procedure is one of the safest ways to reach ethical values which are known, shared and then practiced by all the members of a corporation, whatever the category.
