以新发展理念引领妇女发展

五大发展新理念不仅蕴含着鲜明的时代特征,也决定着我国妇女发展的价值取向和行为目标.当前我国妇女发展呈现出发展的内生性需求更加明显、发挥社会主体作用的空间更为广阔、社会性别主流化意识显著增强等一系列新变化.为适应妇女发展的新变化,必须要以新发展理念为引领,激发妇女发展的动力感、增强妇女发展的责任感、增进妇女发展的幸福感、彰显妇女发展的存在感、提升妇女发展的获得感.在践行新发展理念中,提升妇女发展的能力空间,以此开拓妇女发展新境界.     

“童真”境界的诗情抒写——评刘第红散文集《白蝴蝶黄蝴蝶》

刘第红是一位有才气的青年作家,他以自己熟悉的童年生活为素材书写的儿童散文集《白蝴蝶黄蝴蝶》,想象力丰富,富于情趣与理趣,童真之心跃然于纸上;语言活泼灵动、本色自然,有着诗歌般的意境。     

后危机时代中国经济结构调整的战略选择

全球金融危机背景下,中国经济在全球率先企稳回升,然而进一步调整经济结构,促进经济发展方式转变才是最终战胜危机和中国经济健康发展的重要途径。我国目前的经济结构对我国经济的长远发展造成了一定的危害。后危机时代,我国调整和优化经济结构要坚持以市场为导向,依靠科技进步,采取适应社会主义市场经济发展的新机制、新办法。同时,将保增长、扩内需与调结构有效结合起来,推进经济结构战略性调整、产业转型升级和发展方式转变。     

区域教师教育共同体建设背景下的《东南亚教师能力框架》:内容、特点及意义

东南亚教育部长组织(Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization,SEAMEO)于2015年提出了“振兴教师教育”战略。该组织及其下设的区域中心,联合其他区域组织和区域内各国积极开展有关教师教育的活动和项目,在区域内形成了推动教师教育改革和发展的合力。2018年7月正式出台的《东南亚教师能力框架》,是区域教师教育共同体建设的重要行动之一。该框架从教师促进自身专业发展的视角,明确了新形势下东南亚教师应该具备的关键能力、一般能力、使能能力和成功行为,并提供了一套评估工具和关于能力提升的路径建议。分析该框架的形成过程和内容可以发现,其具备人本性、发展性、指导性和区域性四个基本特点。该框架将推动东南亚国家进一步完善本国教师标准和提升教师教育质量,并在区域层面促进教师教育的交流与合作,助力区域教师教育共同体建设向纵深发展。     

Socioeconomic Strain,Family Ties,and Adolescent Health in a Rural Northeastern County

In adolescence, vital sources of support come from family relationships; however, research that considers the health‐related impact of ties to both parents and siblings is sparse, and the utility of such ties among at‐risk teens is not well understood. Here we use two waves of panel data from the population of 8th and 12th grade students in a geographically isolated, rural, northeastern U.S. county to assess whether socioeconomic status (SES) moderates the effects of parental and sibling attachments on three indicators of adolescent health: obesity, depression, and problem substance use. Our findings indicate that, net of stressful life events, prior health, and sociodemographic controls, increases in parental and sibling attachment correspond with reduced odds of obesity for low‐SES adolescents, reduced odds of depression for high‐SES adolescents, and reduced odds of problem substance use for low‐SES adolescents. Results suggest also that sibling and maternal ties are more influential than paternal ties, at least with regard to the outcomes considered. Overall, the findings highlight the value of strong family ties for the physical, psychological, and behavioral health of socioeconomically strained rural teens, and reveal the explanatory potential of both sibling and parental ties for adolescent health.

Local Government and the Politics of Decency*

Objective. Local government officials exhibit a variety of responses to morality issues involving “decency” (i.e., pornography, prostitution, sexually explicit businesses). The purpose of this research is to account for these differences. Methods. This research analyzes a subset of data from a larger study of morality policy making at the local level, that is, all cases of decision making on decency issues (e.g., pornography, prostitution, regulation of sexually explicit businesses, etc.) that occurred in the period 1994–2000 in 10 of the 52 largest cities in the United States. Results. In mayoral settings, decision making on decency cases is likely to evoke pro‐decency action from officials when a high level of issue salience is combined with high levels of church adherence, low levels of women's political empowerment, low levels of fundamentalist religious attachment, and higher levels of per capita income. Officials in city manager settings act more favorably toward decency activists if (1) higher levels of salience combine with a lower prevalence of fundamentalist religious adherents and higher levels of per capita income or (2) there is an interaction of salience and low levels of female political empowerment and high unemployment. Conclusions. Although exploratory in nature, the results confirm conventional expectations concerning the importance of salience and the prevalence of church affiliation; the results are counterintuitive with respect to the prevalence of fundamentalist forces and the extent of female political empowerment.     

ENTREPRENEURIAL SOCIAL INFRASTRUCTURE AND LOCALLY INITIATED ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN THE NONMETROPOLITAN UNITED STATES

A community embeddedness perspective hypothesizes that nonmetropolitan localities high on entrepreneurial social infrastructure (ESI) are more successful at implementing economic development projects than those lacking ESI. ESI is a format for converting social capital into organizational forms that facilitate collective action. Logistic regression revealed that localities with projects were more likely to have an unbiased newspaper, multiple contributions by financial institutions to community projects, and more external linkages, Project communities place more emphasis on citizen involvement through civic organizations than through local government. Community-based patterns of interactions and organization are associated with successful collective economic development action.
