A Conditional Approach for Regression Analysis of Longitudinal Data with Informative Observation Time and Non-negligible Observation Duration

Recently, there has been a great interest in the analysis of longitudinal data in which the observation process is related to the longitudinal process. In literature, the observation process was commonly regarded as a recurrent event process. Sometimes some observation duration may occur and this process is referred to as a recurrent episode process. The medical cost related to hospitalization is an example. We propose a conditional modeling approach that takes into account both informative observation process and observation duration. We conducted simulation studies to assess the performance of the method and applied it to a dataset of medical costs.

类矩形双肢钝体涡致振动和气动抑振机理

针对具有类矩形双肢钝体断面拱肋的大跨度拱桥在风洞试验过程易出现大幅涡激振动问题，沿拱肋模型表面进行动态风压同步测量及基于POD算法的本征气动力荷载分布模式分解，获得了涡振发生时对于周期性涡激力具有最大贡献的气动力荷载作用位置，初步揭示出此类断面涡激动发生时的局部气动力荷载作用机制。以上海卢浦大桥和肇庆西江特大桥此类具有双肢钝体断面拱桥为工程实例，结合涡激气动力沿拱肋周向时空气分布特征，提出并以二维悬吊节段模型风洞试验验证了拱肋断面多种有针对性的气动控制措施；结合实际桥梁拱肋的三维空间效应，利用全桥气弹模型     

Construction of minimum aberration blocked two-level regular factorial designs

ABSTRACT

In this article, we consider the construction of minimum aberration 2^{n ? k}: 2^p designs with respect to some existing combined wordlength patterns, where a 2^{n ? k}: 2^p design is a blocked two-level design with n treatment factors, 2^p blocks, and N = 2^q runs with q = n ? k. Two methods are proposed for two situations: n ? 2^{q ? p} ? 1 and n > N/2. These methods enable us to obtain some new minimum aberration 2^{n ? k}: 2^p designs from existing minimum aberration unblocked and blocked designs. Examples are included to illustrate the theory.     

On the positive association of parliamentary social choice functions

Intuitively, a voting rule satisfies the condition of positive association if it guarantees that an improvement for an alternative in the preferences expressed by voters results in a change, if there is any, of the social status of that alternative in the same direction. In this article, we consider two interpretations of this notion, and for parliamentary voting procedures, we provide results showing under the impartial anonymous culture (IAC) hypothesis how often the positive association is (not) satisfied. Furthermore, our analysis also permits us to investigate the relationships between these notions.     

仿射期限结构模型的小样本偏差修正研究

仿射动态期限结构模型的估计方法中存在着小样本偏差问题,估计出来的结果可能因小样本偏差而产生偏误.较严重的偏误导致了未来短期利率预期和长期期限溢价与实证研究不符.文章考察了我国银行间债券期限结构模型估计,结果显示,系数估计中存在显著的小样本偏差,然后利用Bootstrap模拟的偏差修正方法进行了修正,重新解释了我国远期利率及远期溢价的一些重要特征.

国家作为“外人”——一个西南山地民族的认同边界及其纠纷调解过程中的国家角色

法律的适用有其自身的认同边界,对某一社会进行法律移植时,要么该法律能被普遍接受,若非如此,则面临法律的转型,也意味着将迎来固有文化秩序的原始抵抗。在西南侗人地区,由于受文化秩序和环境因素影响,以国家权威为背景的法律与政府并不能实质性地参与到村落纠纷的调解过程当中,而是被由宗族、姓氏以及"款约"构建起来的层次性认同边界排斥在村民内部生活秩序之外,享受作为"外人"的礼遇。内外有别、亲疏有序成为村民处理与国家关系的文化逻辑。同样,从国家在西南山地民族区域的法律实践进程看来,由于缺乏相应的文化根基,国家通过法制进入村民内部以实现全能性管治的努力遭遇村民日常性的抵抗,注定了该区域的法制实践仍将是一个困难重重的持续性过程。
