The social demand of transparency in nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) has increased. This is due to their social and economic impact and the incidences of fraudulent behavior by some international NGOs managers. In this regard, an improved and abundant dissemination of information by NGO is essential. The Internet is considered a strategic communication tool in such dissemination. Following an explanatory research line, this article aims to identify the influence of the factors ??organizational size??, ??organizational age??, ??public funding??, ??legal form??, ??internationalization??, ??board size??, and ??board activity?? in the dissemination of web page information. The results show that only the factors of ??organizational size??, ??public funding,?? and ??organizational age?? are statistically significant.  相似文献

The dehumanization of certain outgroups is manifested in the deligitimization of the other and generates exclusion, especially in conditions perceived as potentially threatening. The purpose of this study is to analyse the perceptions of Syrian refugees and image of the Muslim population among young people between the ages of 15 and 18 (n = 205) and people over the age of 60 (n = 117). To do so, scales of dehumanization, modern racism and Islamophobia were applied and analysed according to certain variables such as age and degree of perceived religiosity. The results show that there are significant differences in terms of age in dehumanization, modern racism and Islamophobia, but the dehumanization of both Muslims and Syrian refugees seems to appear at all levels, with the perception of threat as a crucial factor. Religiosity also seems to be a significant variable in the study of racism and Islamophobia, although not in dehumanization. The psychosocial implications of these findings are discussed.  相似文献

This paper aims at the application of an ergonomic maturity model (EMM), in order to assess the ergonomic sustainability outreach of ergonomic actions. This proposition was motivated by the widespread sensation that the development of the discipline, its educational devices and related practices depends on the attitude of ergonomics practitioners rather than environmental macroergonomic conditions. Maturity modeling in this paper is undertaken as a tool for ergonomic practitioners. Thus, its foundations were uprooted from diverse fields: Clinic Psychology, Quality Management and Project Management. The paper brings about a detailled explanation of this ergonomic maturity tool. The empirical part is fulfilled by the examination - using the EMM - of four emblematic cases excerpted from our research lab ergonomic portfolio.  相似文献

This paper analyzes the relationship between corporate performance and innovative effort for a set of Spanish companies during the 2007–2013 period. For this purpose, we use a panel data model. We find evidence that the return on equity (ROE) and, in particular, sales revenues are positively influenced by corporate innovation. Moreover, we also find evidence that this positive relationship is stronger in large companies. The analysis regarding the age of the company indicates that, in start-ups or younger companies, innovation effort has a greater effect on corporate performance than in older companies.  相似文献

This study examined the developmental changes of familism values across adolescence among Latinx adolescents from an emerging immigrant community, and how changes in parental warmth were associated with changes in familism values. The sample included 547 Latinx adolescents. Multilevel model results indicated that familism values showed a linear decline from 6th to 10th grade. Between-person analyses showed that parental warmth was related to the higher initial levels of familism values but unrelated to changes in familism values. At the within-person level, on the occasions when adolescents report higher parental warmth, they also report higher familism values. This work highlights the importance of parental warmth for socializing developmental changes in Latinx adolescents' familism values in an emerging immigrant community context.  相似文献

Our paper contributes to the literature on the Romanian banking sector by analyzing a particular credit institution, namely the Cluj Napoca regional corporate business center of BCR Erste Bank Romania. Our choice is motivated by the fact that the Cluj Napoca regional center represents the pilot used by Erste Bank in testing all structural changes, new technologies and management and risk strategies. The analysis being developed focuses on the restructuration process taking place due to BCR’s merger with Erste Group, in what was considered to be one of the most spectacular takeovers in Central and Eastern Europe, therefore forming BCR Erste. The analyzed period also involves financial crisis circumstances. Considering the changes taking place within both the internal and external environment of the bank we oriented our analysis towards the bank’s clients. More precisely, we tested if, under the considered circumstances, we could find a connection between the bank’s clients’ reaction to the events taking place and their perception upon the same phenomenon. Regression models are used in developing the analysis. The results of the study come to prove the existence of a medium intensity relationship between clients’ perception on the two considered phenomenon and their reaction. Such results are justified if we think that on one hand the restructuration contributed towards positive effects while on the other we have negative effects due to the financial crisis. Our study has the obvious limitation of only approaching one case study. The analysis performed on BCR Erste’s case could also be extended to other banks. Conclusions therefore being reached and the potential effects of this type of research could be directly beneficial for the local, regional and/or national economic environment. The information aimed to be obtained is in line with the bank’s policy of orientation towards its clients. Besides analyzing clients’ perception, our analysis also considers its connection to their reaction. Since clients’ behavior is always in the center of management’s attention, dimensioning this connection bears significant practical implications. The distinctive element of the study is given by the analyzed period representing for the chosen bank both its restructuration process and the period when the financial crisis peaked in its manifestation.  相似文献

Definitions and measures of supply chain integration (SCI) are diverse. More empirical research, with clear definition and appropriate measures are needed. The purpose of this article is to identify dimensions and variables for SCI and develop an integrated framework to facilitate this. A literature review of the relevant academic papers in international journals in Logistics, Supply Chain Management and Operations Management for the period 1995–2009 has been undertaken. This study reveals that information integration, coordination and resource sharing and organisational relationship linkage are three major dimensions for SCI. The proposed framework helps integrate both upstream suppliers and downstream customers with the focal organisation. It also allows measuring SCI using both qualitative and quantitative approach. This study encourages researchers and practitioners to identify dimensions and variables for SCI and analyses how it affects the overall supply chain (SC) performance in terms of efficiency and responsiveness. Although there is extensive research in the area of SCI, a comprehensive and integrated approach is missing. This study bridges the gap by developing a framework for measuring SCI, which enables any organisation to identify critical success factors for integrating their SC, measures the degree of integration qualitatively and quantitatively and suggest improvement measures.  相似文献

The main contribution of this paper to the research of volunteering participation is considering simultaneously different levels of data aggregation: individual, country and welfare regimen. This strategy allows us identifying individual factors (socio-demographic variables) and contextual data (government expenditures on social issues and GDP), as well as comparing different political backgrounds (welfare systems). Our results suggest that socio-demographic characteristics and contextual data are important predictors of volunteer rates. Macro-policies might be effective tools to promote national volunteering participation, because international differences on volunteer rates smooth with the introduction of national contextual data.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Understanding perceptions and use of gerotechnology is crucial to optimize design, application, and education strategies that may reduce caregiver burden, extend healthy aging in place, and minimize demands on the health care system. A pilot project was conducted to explore attitudes, opinions, and preferences of older adults concerning the use of technology to support and extend their ability to “aging in place.” Four major themes emerged as important for older adults to age in place: safety and independence, social interaction, use of technology in the past, and the desire for support.
