In this article, a variable two-stage acceptance sampling plan is developed when the quality characteristic is evaluated through a process loss function. The plan parameters of the proposed plan are determined by using the two-point approach and tabulated according to various quality levels. Two cases are discussed when the process mean lies at the target value and when it does not, respectively. Extensive tables are provided for both cases and the results are explained with examples. The advantage of the proposed plan is compared with the existing variable single acceptance sampling plan using the process loss function. 相似文献

This article intends to develop some effective rotation patterns with the aid of attractive imputation methods when the problems of non response occur in two-occasion successive sampling. Utilizing the information on p (p ??1) auxiliary variables regression methods of imputation have been considered and subsequently multiple linear regression type estimators are proposed to estimate the current population mean in two-occasion successive sampling. Proposed estimators are compared with the estimator for same situations but in the absence of non-response. Equivariant functions can be useful for constructing of maximal invariant statistic. In this article, we discuss construction of maximal invariants based on a given weakly equivariant function under some additional conditions. The theory easily extends to the case of two or more weakly equivariant functions. Also, we derive a maximal invariant statistic when the group contains a sharply transitive and a characteristic subgroup. This article defines the so called Generalized Matrix Variate Jensen-Logistic distribution. The relevant applications of this class of distributions in Configuration Shape Theory consist of a more efficient computation, supported by the corresponding inference. This demands the solution of two important problems: (1) the development of analytical and efficient formulae for their k-th derivatives and (2) the use of the derivatives to transform the configuration density into a polynomial density under some special matrix Kummer relation, indexed in this case by the Jensen-Logistic kernel. In this article, we solve these problems by deriving a simple formula for the k-th derivative of the density function, avoiding the usual partition theory framework and using a generalization of Pascal triangles. Then we apply the results by obtaining the associated Jensen-Logistic Kummer relations and the configuration polynomial density in the setting of Statistical Shape Theory. 相似文献

Familial binary data occur in a wide range of scientific investigations. Numerous measures of association have been proposed in the literature for the study of intra-family dependence of the binary variables. These measures include correlations, odd ratios, kappa statistics, and relative risks. We study the permissible ranges of these measures of association such that a joint distribution exists for the familial binary variables. The B-spline representation is a common tool to improve the fitting of smooth nonlinear functions, it offers a fitting as a piecewise polynomial. The regions that define the pieces are separated by a sequence of knots. The main difficulty in this type of modeling is the choice of the number and the locations of these knots. The Reversible Jump Markov Chain Monte Carlo (RJMCMC) algorithm provides a solution to simultaneously select these two parameters by considering the knots as free parameters. This algorithm belongs to the MCMC techniques that allow simulations from target distributions on spaces of varying dimension. The aim of the present investigation is to use this algorithm in the framework of the analysis of survival time, for the Cox model in particular. In fact, the relation between the hazard ratio function and the covariates being assumed to be log-linear, this assumption is too restrictive. Thus, we propose to use the RJMCMC algorithm to model the log hazard ratio function by a B-spline representation with an unknown number of knots at unknown locations. This method is illustrated with two real data sets: the Stanford heart transplant data and lung cancer survival data. In this article, we introduce a new distribution-free Shewhart-type control chart that takes into account the location of a single order statistic of the test sample (such as the median) as well as the number of observations in that test sample that lie between the control limits. Exact formulae for the alarm rate, the run length distribution, and the average run length (ARL) are all derived. A key advantage of the chart is that, due to its nonparametric nature, the false alarm rate and in-control run length distribution are the same for all continuous process distributions, and so will be naturally robust. Tables are provided for the implementation of the chart for some typical ARL values and false alarm rates. The empirical study carried out reveals that the new chart is preferable from a robustness point of view in comparison to a classical Shewhart-type chart and also the nonparametric chart of Chakraborti et al.
