Institutional Voids,Economic Adversity and Inter‐firm Cooperation in an Emerging Market: The Mediating Role of Government R&D Support

This paper examines the mediating mechanism of the relationship between institutional voids (IVs) and inter‐firm cooperation and the moderating role of economic adversity in the context of small and medium‐sized enterprises (SMEs) based in emerging markets. The hypotheses are tested using time‐lagged survey data from 214 SMEs in Ghana. The findings provide support for the hypotheses by showing that: (1) IVs positively influence the use of government research and development (R&D) support; (2) the use of government R&D support mediates the relationship between IVs and inter‐firm cooperation; and (3) economic adversity positively moderates the relationship between IVs and the use of government R&D support. The findings contribute to understanding the role of IVs in inter‐firm cooperation. The wider implications for theory and practice are examined.     

交通基础设施对城镇建设用地效益的影响——基于京津冀城市群的空间杜宾模型分析CSSCI

交通基础设施对区域产业和经济发展有重要影响,同时也可能带来跨区域的影响,即对经济增长的影响存在溢出效应。本文以京津冀城市群为研究对象,以交通基础设施和城镇建设用地效益为主要研究变量,在理论分析的基础上,利用空间杜宾模型对两者的影响关系进行实证研究。研究结果表明:(1)交通基础设施对城镇建设用地效益的影响随交通基础设施的发展水平而变化,呈现“倒U型”的变化关系;(2)交通基础设施对城镇建设用地效益的影响存在显著的空间溢出效应;(3)京津冀城市群交通基础设施的溢出效应在城市群的不同发展阶段和不同发展水平的城市中存在异质性,2014年以前表现为正向的溢出效应,而2014年后表现为负向的溢出效应,同时,北京和天津溢出效应的影响较大,而河北的溢出效应较小。     

Inefficiency of strategy-proof allocation mechanisms in pure exchange economies

In this paper I prove that in the standard model of 2×n (n2) pure exchange economies there is no allocation mechanism that is efficient, non-inversely-dictatorial, and strategy-proof. A hybrid ARIMA and support vector machines model in stock price forecasting

Traditionally, the autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) model has been one of the most widely used linear models in time series forecasting. However, the ARIMA model cannot easily capture the nonlinear patterns. Support vector machines (SVMs), a novel neural network technique, have been successfully applied in solving nonlinear regression estimation problems. Therefore, this investigation proposes a hybrid methodology that exploits the unique strength of the ARIMA model and the SVMs model in forecasting stock prices problems. Real data sets of stock prices were used to examine the forecasting accuracy of the proposed model. The results of computational tests are very promising.     

基于提前期的多阶通用件库存模型

针对单个企业内部应用通用件的环境,在假定一个多阶生产系统的基础上,对应用通用件的库存量水平及其成本进行了分析,建立了多阶通用件库存模型,提出通过对采用通用件和不采用通用件的成本差异的比较,来决策多阶生产系统中在哪一阶工序采用通用件,并求解出每一阶工序优化的基本库存水平。
