公用网中的用户安全存取控制方案

根据公钥密码技术，提出了一种适用于公用网系统的用户存取控制方案。该方案假设网中用户持有由可信任的认证中心（ＴＡＣ）发行的个人卡──记忆卡式智能卡。无论是记忆卡还是智能卡的认证协议，均可避免使用公钥簿，使公用网中的用户存取控制更加安全和方便。     

THE EFFECT OF POSTPONABLE INTERRUPTIONS ON A M/G/1 SYSTEM WITH IMPATIENT CUSTOMERS

This paper considers a waiting line system where units become impatient after having waited for certain time and leave the queue (renege) without being serviced. The servicing of the units is subject to interruption by the arrival of an "interruption " possessing a priority for service over the ordinary units, head-of-the-line priority discipline being prevalent. The busy period process is investigated first, making use of the supplementary variable method. Later, the general process is studied in terms of the busy period process and renewal distributions. Lastly, the ergodic properties of the general process are examined by appealing to some results of renewal theory.

Burr-XII Distribution Parametric Estimation and Estimation of Reliability of Multicomponent Stress-Strength

In this paper, we estimate multicomponent stress-strength reliability by assuming Burr-XII distribution. The research methodology adopted here is to estimate the parameter using maximum likelihood estimation. Reliability is estimated using the maximum likelihood method of estimation and results are compared using the Monte Carlo simulation for small samples. Using real data sets we illustrate the procedure clearly.     

A rank test for stochastically ordered alternatives

A rank test based on the number of ‘near-matches’ among within-block rankings is proposed for stochastically ordered alternatives in a randomized block design with t treatments and b blocks. The asymptotic relative efficiency of this test with respect to the Page test is computed as number of blocks increases to infinity. A sequential analog of the above test procedure is also considered. A repeated significance test procedure is developed and average sample number is computed asymptotically under the null hypothesis as well as under a sequence of contiguous alternatives.     

Bhattacharyya distance based linear discriminant function for stationary time series

The problem of classifying a covariance stationary normal time series is considered. Under certain regularity conditions, a compact form of the linear discriminant function in the sense of maximizing the Bhattacharyya distance is obtained.
