Online coupon consumption problem

Nowadays, it is popular that the dealer makes profits by selling a kind of discount coupons, which can be used as money to purchase commodities with total cost less than or equal to the face value of the coupon. We can purchase a coupon at a price of 0<s≤1 times its face value and the number of potential purchasable coupons is a given integer l. The customer has the option to buy the goods by cash completely or by a discount coupon. However, each piece of goods can only use one coupon and the coupon used must have enough balance for the goods. The objective is to minimize the total cost for purchasing all the goods. In this paper, we reduce the problem to a special bin packing model. We consider the online problems for all 0<s≤1 and 1≤l≤∞. We present optimal online algorithms for all 0<s≤1 when l=∞ and l=1. For 2≤l<∞, we give both a lower bound and an algorithm, and show the algorithm is optimal for l=2. 政治有效性是从西方政治学引入的一个概念.本文通过对政治有效性的内涵、危机与合法性的关系等理论进行相应的梳理、分析,试图引起学界对这一问题的进一步关注.     

苏联对台湾问题的历史影响(20世纪40年代末～50年代初)

从苏联作为一个社会主义大国，率先承认中华人民共和国的 合法地位，以强硬的态度，要求联合国安理会作出开除国民党集团的决议朝鲜战争对中苏 两国政治联盟的考验等几个方面，分析苏联因素对中国台湾问题的影响。     

公共危机状态下的大众传媒与社会控制

在现代信息社会中，作为次级系统的大众传媒通过影响环境认知、促成社会共识、引导社会舆论，对整个社会系统产生能动作用。但在公共危机状态下，大众传媒的“双刃剑”属性相当明显，既有社会控制的正功能，也存在负效应。因此，需注意探索和掌握公共危机管理中的信息传播规律，加强对大众传媒的积极控制，提升和完善社会控制策略，维护社会秩序，凝聚社会力量，为战胜危机营造有利的社会环境。     

《文心雕龙·徵圣》“装点门面”说辩

《徵圣》具有独立的价值,它提出了文章的创作主体和以圣人之文为标准的创作准则。将《徵圣》与《宗经》进行比较,从逻辑上得出《徵圣》为《宗经》之前提,二者内容相似但论述重点有所不同。另外,《徵圣》提出的为文标准与刘勰于此篇所提的"体要"观在全书也得到了由始而终的贯彻。因此,纪昀评价《徵圣》的"装点门面"说有其不当之处。     

元代汉人世侯行唐邸氏家族

行唐邸氏是元代重要的汉人世侯之一。学界对其虽有一些研究,然并无专文对其进行全面探讨。该家族从第三代邸显常、邸顺、邸常、邸琮归顺蒙古开始显世,在蒙古对金、宋战争中立下赫赫战功,并因此受到封赏。从此便以邸顺支受封并承袭归德万户、邸琮支受封并承袭颍州万户传其世系。研究表明:行唐邸氏在战功、文治上的作为,受蒙古统治者重视的程度及其在元代的显赫地位,都足以将其归入"大藩"之列。     

An online copy number variant detection method for short sequencing reads

The availability of the next generation sequencing (NGS) technology in today's biomedical research has provided new opportunities in scientific discovery of genetic information. The high-throughput NGS technology, especially DNA-seq, is particularly useful in profiling a genome for the analysis of DNA copy number variants (CNVs). The read count (RC) data resulting from NGS technology are massive and information rich. How to exploit the RC data for accurate CNV detection has become a computational and statistical challenge. We provide a statistical online change point method to help detect CNVs in the sequencing RC data in this paper. This method uses the idea of online searching for change point (or breakpoint) with a Markov chain assumption on the breakpoints loci and an iterative computing process via a Bayesian framework. We illustrate that an online change-point detection method is particularly suitable for identifying CNVs in the RC data. The algorithm is applied to the publicly available NCI-H2347 lung cancer cell line sequencing reads data for locating the breakpoints. Extensive simulation studies have been carried out and results show the good behavior of the proposed algorithm. The algorithm is implemented in R and the codes are available upon request.
