Working under a committed boss: A test of the relationship between supervisors' and subordinates' affective commitment

Based on the existing social influence literature, we predict that a supervisor's affective commitment to the organization may influence his or her subordinates' level of affective commitment, which subsequently affects their task performance and extra-role behavior. We further propose that the relationship between supervisors' and subordinates' affective commitment is moderated by subordinate individual power distance orientation. The results support our hypotheses using a sample of 111 full-time employees in Macau. We found positive relationships between supervisors' and subordinates' affective commitment, and between subordinates' affective commitment and their task and extra-role performance. Consistent with our prediction, the relationship between supervisors' and subordinates' affective commitment was stronger among subordinates possessing low power distance orientation.     

The min-p robust optimization approach for facility location problem under uncertainty

Improper value of the parameter p in robust constraints will result in no feasible solutions while applying stochastic p-robustness optimization approach (p-SRO) to solving facility location problems under uncertainty. Aiming at finding the lowest critical p-value of parameter p and corresponding robust optimal solution, we developed a novel robust optimization approach named as min-p robust optimization approach (min-pRO) for P-median problem (PMP) and fixed cost P-median problem (FPMP). Combined with the nearest allocation strategy, the vertex substitution heuristic algorithm is improved and the influencing factors of the lowest critical p-value are analyzed. The effectiveness and performance of the proposed approach are verified by numerical examples. The results show that the fluctuation range of data is positively correlated with the lowest critical p-value with given number of new facilities. However, the number of new facilities has a different impact on lowest critical p-value with the given fluctuation range of data. As the number of new facilities increases, the lowest critical p-value for PMP and FPMP increases and decreases, respectively.

     

“群”与“己”:边界及其规则——对“群己权界”的当代哲学反思

在思想史和社会史上,关于“群”、“己”关系问题,占统治地位的是这样一种观点,认为以普遍的、共通的形而上学“人性”为基础,能实现“个人之善”与“公共之善”的“本质统一”。事实上,这种观念乃是一种形而上学的僭妄,“个人之善”与“公共之善”之间并不存在这种“本质统一”关系,二者有着各自相对独立的“游戏规则”,而不是建立在抽象的形而上学同一性基础之上。对于“个体生命”来说,“自由”地“创造”其“价值”构成了其自主的“游戏规则”;对于社会公共生活来说,“相互承认与团结”则构成了其独立的“游戏规则”。以“边界意识”取代“形而上学意识”来重新认识“群己权界”,这是人与社会实现和谐发展的重要前提。     

清代笔记作家梁章钜

清代福建名人梁章钜是位丰产笔记作家,其笔记内容无所拘束,涉及面甚广,对于了解历史、了解社会都有很大帮助,成为一个重要史源。本文着重评介了其中的《南省公余录》、《退庵随笔》《归田琐记》、《浪迹丛谈》三种、《枢垣记略》共七种笔记著作。文章充分肯定了其笔记著述的成就,认为应给以文化史上相应的地位。     

构建社会财富公平占有的和谐社会

通过分析财富占有不公对构建和谐社会的影响(其中涉及自然资源占有、使用不公、分配不公等现象),指出产生不公的原因,提出解决社会财富占有不公、促进社会和谐发展的措施。     

创造力是知识经济时代的主导资源

创新是一个民族进步的灵魂。创新的一个首要前提就是要具备创造力。伴随着知识经济时代的到来,创造力的作用愈益凸显出来,国外一些学者率先提出了创造力资源的概念并受到学术界的广泛关注。作为人所特有的一种能力,创造力资源既可以像传统资源一样直接为人类带来财富,同时又具有不同于传统资源的特点。创造力资源的开发利用不但可以大大提高传统资源的使用效率,成为生产力发展的内在动力,而且还因其源源不断的创造而推动人类的新的实践模式和存在方式的产生,为人类文明开辟新的领域,是知识经济时代的一种主导资源。     

A System of Sustainability Indicators for the Province of Thai Binh,Vietnam

Sustainable Development is a broad and universal concept. Indicators are a basis to measure sustainability and to direct policies that aim to achieve a better quality of life. Thai Binh, a coastal province in North Vietnam is strongly concerned about strategic sustainability development. To select a system of sustainability indicators, the Delphi method was applied in 2012. A two-round questionnaire was organized to use with 32 experts, who acted as participants. 69 indicators were selected from 98 listed indicators: 15 related to economic development, 5 to the sea and coastal zone, 1 to the global economic partnership, 4 to consumption and production patterns, 7 to poverty, 3 to governance, 9 to health, 4 to education, 3 to demographics, 2 to natural hazards, 5 to atmosphere, 7 to land, and 3 to freshwater. Conversely, 29 other indicators were rejected. The Delphi method allows indicator selection for identification of the process of sustainability. The system of indicators, as the first important step of the sustainable development process, provides useful information for decision makers and planners as well sustainability strategy. It is planned that the indicators selected should be applied in the province.     

中国文论话语重建:在传统与现代之间——近十年来"古代文论现代转换"及相关问题讨论述评

持续近十年的关于"古代文论现代转换"及相关问题的讨论,必定会对中国当代文论建设起到推动作用,但讨论也存在很大的局限性和不足.其中有两点值得反思一是"转换论"命题的表述本身存在问题,容易引起歧义和误解;二是就古代文论在中国当代文论建构中的作用而言,争论其能否实现转换并没有多少实际意义.更需要做的是从当代文论建构的现实要求出发,认真研究古今文论的"异质性"与"同构性",从而找到利用古代文论资源的立足点和切入点,使中国文论话语重建真正取得实效.

后现代主义思想观念包含着解构与重构的双重特性及其复杂意义,它已成为当代中国文化语境的重要组成部分,对当代文艺发展产生了深远影响.在探讨后现代主义及其基本特征的基础上,分别从当代文艺理论批评中的后现代性和当代文艺创作中的后现代性两个方面加以论析,发现其中所显示的文化精神与价值取向,既具有特定的历史反思精神和思想观念解放的意义,也反映出某些非理性的颠覆消解冲动和粗鄙化、低俗化的审美趣味,容易使当代文艺实践陷入非理性化和非审美化的误区,值得引起关注和警惕.
