句法象似性探究及实例分析

语言的任意性特征在现代语言学研究中一直占据统治地位,而象似性没有受到应有的重视。语言的象似性是指语言形式和其概念结构之间存在映照关系,而句法象似性指句法结构的组织形式和人的思维结构之间有着某种自然的对应关系,主要遵循三大理据原则：距离象似、顺序象似和数量象似。理解句法象似性的概念和原则,有助于从认知层面更好地掌握二语习得的规律,从而促进教学活动的顺利开展。     

Batch sequential designs for computer experiments

Computer models simulating a physical process are used in many areas of science. Due to the complex nature of these codes it is often necessary to approximate the code, which is typically done using a Gaussian process. In many situations the number of code runs available to build the Gaussian process approximation is limited. When the initial design is small or the underlying response surface is complicated this can lead to poor approximations of the code output. In order to improve the fit of the model, sequential design strategies must be employed. In this paper we introduce two simple distance based metrics that can be used to augment an initial design in a batch sequential manner. In addition we propose a sequential updating strategy to an orthogonal array based Latin hypercube sample. We show via various real and simulated examples that the distance metrics and the extension of the orthogonal array based Latin hypercubes work well in practice.     

浅谈距离表征中的语用元素

英语对距离表征的研究不应停留在对话语双方的实际距离层面,而应透视出说话人和听话人与所指对象之间的抽象距离。语用抽象距离主要包括时间距离、情感距离及社会距离。转变时态可以改变时间距离,以拉近或凸显过去与现在、理想与现实的距离;指示词及人称代词的转变、间接引语或蕴含不同含义词语的使用均起到改变情感距离的效果,表达出不同的交际意图;人称代词的转变、礼貌用语、委婉语及不同语体的使用会改变社会距离,以达到实现交际的目的。     

Semiparametric estimation in copula models

The author recalls the limiting behaviour of the empirical copula process and applies it to prove some asymptotic properties of a minimum distance estimator for a Euclidean parameter in a copula model. The estimator in question is semiparametric in that no knowledge of the marginal distributions is necessary. The author also proposes another semiparametric estimator which he calls “rank approximate Z‐estimator” and whose asymptotic normality he derives. He further presents Monte Carlo simulation results for the comparison of various estimators in four well‐known bivariate copula models.     

汉英致歉策略在社会距离中的分布

从社会距离角度出发,通过“语篇补全测试”,研究汉英文化中致歉策略在动态的社会距离中的分布。结果发现:汉语致歉行为对社会距离的感知度比英语致歉行为的感知度高;汉语在解释、直接道歉、补偿和求罚等4个策略上,明显地受社会距离感知动态的影响,而英语只是在解释这个策略上体现出影响。这种差异反映了汉语文化“关系取向”以及英语文化“个人取向”的深层社会结构。

A note on penalized minimum distance estimation in nonparametric regression

The authors introduce a penalized minimum distance regression estimator. They show the estimator to balance, among a sequence of nested models of increasing complexity, the L¹ ‐approximation error of each model class and a penalty term which reflects the richness of each model and serves as a upper bound for the estimation error.
