Cybernetic appropriateness review: Does it change physician hospital utilization patterns?

All hospital care can be characterized as either appropriate (i.e., efficatious and necessary) or inappropriate (i.e., services without benefit or services that could be provided in a less costly setting). A demonstration project combining an appropriateness determination methodology with a cybernetic control system was implemented in a study area that included six hospitals and approximately 400 practicing physicians. Project results to date indicate substantial improvements in the ratio of appropriate to inappropriate care for both hospitals and individual physicians. Evaluation research design problems and areas of future research are also discussed.     

Corporatism Revisited—The Legacy of History and the German Nonprofit Sector

Salamon argues strongly in favor of a public–nonprofit partnership model expressing the European flavor of corporatism. Germany provides a textbook example of corporatist arrangements, particularly in the fields of health care and social services. Whereas American nonprofit organizations are suffering from a crisis of legitimacy caused by marketization, German nonprofit organizations have been confronted with a crisis of legitimacy and identity caused by corporatism since the early 1980s. This particular scenario, however, is not covered by Salmon's analysis.

Comment on “a new statistic for testing suspected outliers”

A new statistic proposed by Tiku (1975) is compared with the Ferguson (1961) and Pearson-Chandra Sekar (1936) statistics. A simulation suggests that the new statistic is not superior to the Pearson-Chandra Sekar statistic when performance is assessed by the power of the test against the Dixon (1950) alternative.     

统计学与体育结合学科的历史综述

采用文献资料法,就《中国体育年鉴》、各地区统计年鉴以及《体育统计学》等相关资料进行了综述分析,回顾了统计学与体育结合学科的发展过程,其发展过程可以分为三个阶段:统计学学科引入、与体育各学科组织结合、独立发展;并对其将来的发展提出建议:要为运动实践提供理论支持和直接指导,重视基本理论的研究,规范统计软件的应用。     

因子模型的一种结构突变检验及其统计性质研究

为了内生地识别动态因子模型因子载荷矩阵的结构突变（包括因子个数的变化）,本文利用主成分估计得伪因子序列构造累积平方和统计量检验因子载荷矩阵的结构突变性,进一步利用迭代累积平方和算法对多个结构突变点的位置进行探测。研究发现,本文提出的检验统计量对于因子个数误设具有稳健性;并且该检验具有良好的有限样本性质和渐近性;另外,实证分析发现,中国沪市A股市场制造业上市公司的对数收益率序列存在结构突变的共同因子。     

On the asymptotic behavior of the periodograms of periodically correlated spatial processes: Periodicity detection

In this work, the asymptotic unbiasedness and the asymptotic uncorrelatedness of periodograms for the periodically correlated spatial processes are given. This will be done using the time dependent spectral representation of periodically correlated spatial processes and Cholesky factorization of the spectral density. A graphical method is also proposed to detect the period of periodically correlated spatial processes. In order to support the theory, a simulation study and a real data example are performed.

社会保障统计国际比较与借鉴

 本文通过对四大国际组织、三个代表国家社会保障统计的比较分析,总结出国际社会保障支出统计的口径差异主要集中在其所包括的社会保障项目、主体和形式三方面。呼吁国际社会关注社会保障统计标准问题,以使社会保障统计在其国际比较、理论研究和方向道路选择方面发挥应有作用。中国在构建社会保障统计的起始阶段,尤需注意英、美、日三国将社会保障作为独立大类在统计年鉴中单独列示;借鉴欧盟经验建立社会保障收支统计体系,并通过来源法、部门法、项目法和对象法的选择完成社会保障支出统计。
