The desire for impact

This paper explores the meaning and implications of the desire by workers for impact. We find that this impact motive can make a firm in a competitive labor market face an upward-sloping supply curve of labor, lead workers with the same characteristics but at different firms to earn different wages, may alleviate the hold-up problem in firm-specific investment, can make it profitable for an employer to give workers autonomy in effort or task choice, and can propagate shocks to unemployment.     

基于文献计量学的管理学学术期刊定量分析与评价 --以《南开管理评论》为例

本文运用清华大学中国科学文献计量评价研究中心编制的<中国学术期刊综合引证报告>(2002、2003、2004版)的统计数据,分析比较了国家自然科学基金委员会管理科学部认定的管理科学类重要学术期刊和CNKI"中国期刊全文数据库"B缉中"社会与管理/管理/综合"类收录的所有管理学期刊的被引频次、影响因子、即年指标等数据,重点评价了<南开管理评论>在管理学期刊中的学术影响和地位.

采用熵值法和层次分析法来确定指标权重,从而改进经典灰色关联分析模型。利用此模型,对河南省电力消费的影响因素进行分析,得出各个影响因素对河南省电力消费的影响程度,最后根据分析结果提出可行性建议。     

浅议北极地区跨界环境影响评价制度

在北极地区开展跨界环境影响评价对保护北极环境有着极为重要的意义。目前指导北极跨界环境影响评价开展的国际文件主要是北极环境影响评价指导纲要。一方面,由于缺乏强制力,而且纲要规定的内容相对滞后,致使该指导纲要在北极地区很难得到有效的执行。另一方面,北极的跨界环境影响评价的开展依靠的只是周边国家的自觉,不存在配套的监督机构和救济措施,并且实施效力和效果也大打了折扣。完善北极地区的跨界环境影响评价制度,就应当建立后续的工作小组监督指导纲要的实施,并根据实际情况定期修订相关跨界环境影响评价的国际文件。

Evaluating the Impact of Post‐Qualifying Social Work Education

Post‐qualifying awards in social work are well established within the continuing professional development agenda for qualified social workers in the UK. The evaluation of education and training should be an integral part of this agenda because it is important to ensure that programmes continue to meet standards of delivery, are successful in meeting their aims and objectives and are making an impact on practice. However, there is a limited amount of published work on the evaluation of post‐qualifying social work education, with studies often focusing on programme delivery rather than on their impact on practice.

This paper explores evaluative work within the current post‐qualifying social work framework and discusses the results of an evaluation of the Vulnerable Adults and Community Care Practice programme, a specialist post‐qualifying social work education programme run by a UK university, as an example of an evaluation of the impact on practice. The results indicate positive evidence of impact on practice and demonstrate examples of how the programme has had a direct effect on individuals, teams, organisations and on people who use services.     

科技革命对产业结构的影响分析

科学技术是人类文明发展中最活跃、最具革命性的因素,每一次重大的突破都极大地促进了人类文明的进步。从产业经济发展的角度看,历史上产业结构的重大变化也都是科技革命引发的结果,主要表现为创立新的产业及产业部门、改造传统产业、传导产业间的关联、满足需求结构等。对中国来说,应及时抓住机遇,在新一轮科技革命的推动下,转变经济发展方式,优化提升产业结构,实现可持续发展。     

Adult Day Care

Adult day care is a developing concept in the United States. Many consider it a viable alternative to institutionalization for older Americans who are incapacitated. When considering the predicted number of Americans age 80 and over to be 8 million by the year 2000, provisions must be developed to cope with this group and their specific needs. The English experience in adult day care represents a successful and cost effective program. A variety of models are functioning well. Model I and Model II Programs are currently in existence in the United States. Growth is slow but steady. The Subcommittee on Health and Long-Term Care of the House Select Committee on Aging, in 1980, recommended the establishment of a national policy on day care, with funds for planning, and a comprehensive restructuring of funds to better implement the day care concept. Recent legislation, in the form of the Economic Recovery Act, effective January I , 1982. and the 1981 Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act, represents a beginning as far as economic incentives for day care are concerned. The political climate will undoubtedly effect the future of adult day care, and studies are urgently needed to document its cost effectiveness.
