谈英语教学中跨文化交际能力的培养

跨文化交际能力是语言交际能力的重要组成部分,培养学生的跨文化交际能力是大学英语教学的任务之一。本文指出了大学生在利用英语进行跨文化交际中出现的文化障碍问题,并就如何培养大学生的跨文化交际能力提出见解。     

Industry perceptions of intercultural competence in Singapore and Perth

This study investigates public relations practitioner perceptions of intercultural competence i.e. the skills required in an increasingly globalized world. The findings, drawn from analysis of interviews with seventeen practitioners in two cities in Australasia, reveal intercultural competence is perceived as integral to public relations practise, regardless of whether the public relations activity occurs across national borders. Although practitioners value personal attributes such as openness and adaptability, the findings suggests that practitioners require intercultural competence, as procedural knowledge i.e. of specific cultures and as conceptual knowledge i.e. a reflexive and dynamic understanding of culture. More research is needed to understand the relationship between culture and public relations, and industry expectations regarding intercultural competence in an era of globalization.

中国第三届跨文化交际学国际学术讨论会的主要议题是“跨文化交流———文化身份与文化调适” ,分会主题包括“全球化与多元化”、“中国文化的变迁”、“对比研究与文化教学”和“传媒与文化研究”。会议讨论了全球化与多元化的对立统一关系、中国文化的定型所发生的转变和亚文化之间的关系、外语教学中的文化因素和文化在外语教学中的意义 ,以及国际上跨文化交流研究的最新成果     

高职英语教学中的文化导入

根据高职院校学生英语教学实际情况，通过跨文化交际的方法给学生适时进行文化导入，这是提高高职学生英语水平、进而提高英语课堂教学效率的有效方法。高职院校的英语教师必须让学生明确文化导入的重要性，并且在课堂教学中指导学生注意主要的语用差异，从而达到正确、规范的语言输出。     

对外文化传播翻译策略研究

翻译在中国文化对外传播中起着桥梁与纽带的作用,是决定文化传播效果的直接因素和基础条件。从文化翻译和跨文化传播学结合的视角,考量对外文化传播文本翻译的策略选择,指出根据翻译目的、文化传播译本功能、传播学受众因素等综合考虑,灵活采取不同的翻译策略和方法,尽可能追求对外文化传播效果最大化。     

基于中西价值观的跨文化交际商务人才培养研究

作为影响人们交流的重要因素,文化价值观在跨文化交际过程中发挥着至关重要的作用。中西方文化存在着明显的差异,主要表现在人与自然的相处模式、人与人的沟通方式以及人类的活动追求等方面。合格的跨文化交际商务人才必须具备充分的知识储备,并且要对不同文化意识形态有着清醒的认识,还要注意从多个角度去理解和综合不同的文化。高校是跨文化商务人才培养的重要场所,应该主动开设质量较高的国际化课程,培养出更多优秀的跨文化商务人才。     

Fostering assessment of student mobility in secondary schools: indicators of intercultural competence

ABSTRACT

The present study explores the internationalisation of secondary schools. It focuses on the assessment of the intercultural competence (IC) of returnees who participated in an annual study-abroad programme offered by the Italian educational association Intercultura (a non-profit organisation). The precise aim of this research is to find possible assessment indicators of IC, specific to the context of student mobility in secondary schools. To reach this goal, a qualitative methodology was adopted; 21 semi-structured interviews were conducted with the returnees, their parents, friends, teachers and Intercultura volunteers. The findings suggest that the elements to be considered in assessing the IC of returnees should include, among others, curiosity towards people perceived as having different cultural backgrounds, interest in global issues, self-awareness, new understanding of home context, knowledge of host context, ability to make critical comparisons, adaptability and ethnorelative view.     

Intercultural educational alternatives based on sustainability from Mexico: beyond school and cultural belonging

Abstract

This article proposes the articulation of intercultural education and sustainability, linking the recognition of cultural diversity to socio-environmental concerns. This implies transcending formal education and classrooms; moving towards educational modalities that could impact people of different ages, and levels of scholastic achievement, with different needs and demands. We suggest that education is a key to transform structural conditions that have perpetuated inequality, and then to the self-empowerment of indigenous peoples, but that previous models, political basis and forms have not been pertinent, nor do they respond entirely to explicit demands of indigenous peoples. Intercultural education should go beyond simply adding cultural elements to the curriculum. Learning and sharing about ways to connect knowledges and know-how from cultural, social, economic and political distant sources, and ways to visualise and propose autochthonous relevant methods to transform their regions and make these visions of social justice real, are amongst the elements that we consider central to intercultural education. In order to demonstrate this, we analyse an experience of non-formal, collaborative, intercultural education with fisherwomen and youths, making up a learning community and emphasising a dialogue of knowledge for the conservation of their territory.     

论全球化语境下中国电影的跨文化传播策略

在全球化浪潮的冲击下,跨文化传播日益频繁.作为大众传播媒介和意识形态载体的中国电影,必须以积极的姿态应对竞争,广泛参与世界范围内的跨文化传播.全球化语境对中国电影的跨文化传播既是一种挑战,也是一种机遇.中国电影要取得跨文化传播的成功,必须在"国际化"与"本土化"的结合中找到一个"契合点",实行"国际化"与"本土化"的"双重编码",在电影传播的文化策略、题材策略、艺术策略以及运作策略上广泛借鉴,大胆创新,以"和而不同"的目标作为跨国传播的文化诉求,开创中国电影新局面.     

中国跨文化交际研究的现状、问题与建议

通过对1994年到2003年国内564种学术刊物上公开发表的1109篇有关跨文化交际研究的论文进行内容分析,讨论了我国跨文化交际研究的现状,指出了存在的问题,并对我国今后跨文化交际研究的主流方向提出了建议。我国跨文化交际研究存在的主要问题有理论研究贫乏,研究范围狭窄、“浅论”、“试论”、“略论”式的文章多,实证研究结果少。要解决这些问题我们必须提倡和鼓励用科学研究的方法进行跨文化交际研究。
