The TRIPs agreement and technological innovation

In this paper we attempt to evaluate the possible spill-over of the international agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property rights (TRIPs for short), underwritten in 1994, regarding economic growth for both wealthy and developing countries. We find that the TRIPs convention has prompted, at the same time, innovation in developing countries and a rise in the per capita income for all the economies involved in international commerce. As a by-product of our research we find that, despite the strong growth of resident patents application after 1995 (the year in which TRIPs came into force), most of the increase in the gross domestic product per capita in developing countries is attributable to the international transfer of technologies, via foreign direct investments.

上个世纪末以来,以Napster为代表的P2P软件的迅速兴盛,在导致P2P技术迅猛发展并打破了传统的以服务器为中心的互联网格局的同时,在版权领域也引发了一场又一场侵权与反侵权的较量。我们需要在详细解读P2P技术的基础上,从与P2P技术有关的行为性质入手,对哪些属于不侵权、哪些是直接侵权、哪些是间接侵权,进行界定,对P2P技术带来的版权侵权问题和对策作出较为全面和详细的研究。

当前,我国每年约有40万个家庭解体,其主要原因就是婚外恋。本文简要分析了婚外恋的特点、原因及其后果,着重阐述了遏制婚外恋的措施,以保护妇女、儿童的合法权益,净化社会风气。     

Trading on Twitter: Using Social Media Sentiment to Predict Stock Returns

Decision making is often based on the rational assessment of information, but recent research shows that emotional sentiment also plays an important role, especially for investment decision making. Emotional sentiment about a firm's stock that spreads rapidly through social media is more likely to be incorporated quickly into stock prices (e.g., on the same trading day it was expressed), while sentiment that spreads slowly takes longer to be incorporated into stock prices and thus is more likely to predict stock prices on future days. We analyzed the cumulative sentiment (positive and negative) in 2.5 million Twitter postings about individual S&P 500 firms and compared this to the stock returns of those firms. Our results show that the sentiment in tweets about a specific firm from users with less than 171 followers (the median in our sample) had a significant impact on the stock's returns on the next trading day, the next 10 days, and the next 20 days. Interestingly, sentiment in tweets from users with fewer than 171 followers that were not retweeted had the greatest impact on future stock returns. A trading strategy based on these findings produced meaningful economic gains on the order of an 11–15% annual return.     

黄山绞股兰对赡蜍体心脏的作用

蟾蜍离体心脏灌流实验表明:黄山采集的绞股兰、绞股兰茶剂、生晒参在低浓度时均能增加蟾蜍离体心脏的收缩振幅。其作用为:黄山绞股兰>生晒参>绞股兰茶剂,其后作用也以黄山绞股兰最强。高浓度时均能抑制心脏的搏动,使心脏停止于收缩状态,更换任氏液后心脏的搏动可以恢复。三种药物均对心率无明显的影响。     

D-optimal minimax regression designs on discrete design space

One classical design criterion is to minimize the determinant of the covariance matrix of the regression estimates, and the designs are called D-optimal designs. To reflect the nature that the proposed models are only approximately true, we propose a robust design criterion to study response surface designs. Both the variance and bias are considered in the criterion. In particular, D-optimal minimax designs are investigated and constructed. Examples are given to compare D-optimal minimax designs with classical D-optimal designs.     

试探对等网络与当今网络商业化矛盾之因由

“对等网络”（简称P2P）近年来迅速成为计算机界关注的热门话题之一，不仅因其在网络技术发展与网络应用普及大潮中被更多地认识、使用，更因其自身性质与当今网络商业化趋势存在一定的冲撞，《财富》杂志更是把P2P列为“影响互联网未来的四项科技”之一。P2P所稳固的网络精神与其对信息资源的流通利用，因P2P的运行而相得益彰，但另一方面，它的广泛使用却给网络商业化带来了深重冲击。本文以对等网络为研究对象，拟从其技术原理、所建构的网络精神及其与网络商业化冲撞的表现，试图探讨对等网络与网络的商业化趋势冲撞的深层原因。     

吉林省高校体育俱乐部式教学模式的可行性研究

采用文献资料等方法,对我国目前高校俱乐部式体育教学的形式进行阐述,并对高校建立俱乐部式体育教学模式的可行性和困难进行了分析,提出发展高校俱乐部式体育教学的建议,为进一步构建适合吉林省高校的体育教学模式开辟了新的思路。     

世界第一部中国文学史的发现

目前学术界以为第一部中国文学史是英国人翟里斯写的，出版于1901年。其实，1880年由圣彼得堡斯塔秀列维奇印刷所出版的俄国汉学家王西里所写的《中国文学史纲要》才是世界第一部中国文学史。
