Asymptotic behaviour of a test statistic for detection of change in mean of vectors

The paper gives an asymptotic distribution of a test statistic for detecting a change in a mean of random vectors with dependent components. The studied test statistic has a form of a maximum of a square Euclidean norms of vectors with components being standardized partial cumulative sums of deviations from means. The limit distribution was obtained using a result of Piterbarg [1994. High deviations for multidimensional stationary Gaussian processes with independent components. In: Zolotarev, V.M. Disability and going green: a comparison of the environmental values and behaviours of persons with and without disability

Some studies have suggested that socially excluded groups exhibit different environmental values and behaviours from mainstream society. To consider this in the context of disability, a survey was implemented to investigate environmental values and ecological behaviour. A high percentage of participants considered themselves to have a disability, long‐standing illness or infirmity. Over half of the sample had restricted physical mobility. The study used the revised New Ecological Paradigm Scale, a widely used measure of pro‐environmental orientation, and the General Ecological Behaviour scale to assess ecological behaviours. No significant differences were found between respondents with/without disability for either their general environmental attitudes or their general ecological behaviour. However, a positive correlation was found between level of physical mobility and general ecological behaviour. The results also show significant differences in the ecological behaviours of those respondents living dependently and those living independently; respondents living in care scored lower on the ecological behaviour scale.

“意见领袖”新探

20世纪40年代,美国哥伦比亚大学的传播学者保罗·拉扎斯费尔德提出了"意见领袖"的概念,他认为:对于媒介所播的信息和观点,有部分受众会积极接受,并加以再传播,这些人即为"意见领袖";而另一部分人则主要依靠与这些"意见领袖"的接触来指导自己的行动。今天重新起用"意见领袖"这一概念,旨在论析媒体能够反映、影响、组织社会舆论,以取得社会思潮与情绪的统一化,使社会公众遵循既定的社会规范与社会目标,从而真正实现新闻传播引导舆论的社会职能。

在汉、英双语并存的语言环境中,英语教学需要研究行为、意识与反映的联系机制。关注教学中普遍存在的“母语干扰”现象,要认识到母语干扰的本身也是一种母语促进,是一种可资利用的潜在教学情境资源;整合孤立语与屈折语的比较学习,在比较中完成识记与学习掌握;探索互动式教学的意识反映,利用其在行为活动与意念发生的课堂应答机制。这些,都具有教学实践价值。     

Expected and Actual Family Size in Greece: 1983–1997

On the basis of data collected in the 1997 fertility study in theGreater Athens area, in which a sub-sample of women previouslyinterviewed in the 1983 National Fertility Survey wereinterviewed again, the validity of aggregate and individualfertility intentions is evaluated. The main finding is thatfertility intentions slightly overestimate ultimate family size.Moreover, higher expectations are associated with higher`transition rates' towards having children and to shorter birthintervals for all parities.     

Continuity in Children's Relations with Peers

Social competence with peers of 55 (27 girls) children was examined from ages one to nine. In the toddler and preschool periods, social competence with peers was observed and rated by independent observers and rated by teachers. Teachers reported on children's social competence with peers at age nine. Children who engaged in more complex play with peers as toddlers were more prosocial, engaged in complex play, were less withdrawn as preschoolers, and were less aggressive and withdrawn as nine-year-olds. Children who were more aggressive and withdrawn as preschoolers were more aggressive as nine-year-olds.     

综合激励模式在高校学生干部管理中的应用

当前,由于过分注重实践经验,学校管理者对学生干部的管理存在着招聘方式不够科学,培训流于形式,工作中缺少指导性规划,重命令轻自主性的发挥;人员过多,干部责任分散;忽视了学生干部的心理需求等问题。应采取综合激励模式,把好学生干部的招聘关,使其与同学、老师之间建立良好的心理契约。培训学生干部时,应注意内容与形式的有效结合,以激发学生干部担任相关职务的内在动机。同时要注重工作中的激励管理,明确奖惩,充分发挥精神和物质激励的作用,并做好学生干部换选中的情绪安抚工作,以维持并激发学生干部工作的积极主动性。
