On Two Types of Breakdown Points of Weighted L 2-median

Zuo (2004) investigated the simplified replacement finite sample breakdown point of weighted L ^p -depth and L ^p -median for some appropriate weight functions. The addition breakdown point of weighted L ^p -depth functions is studied firstly in this article. In addition, for some other weight functions different from those in Zuo (2004 Zuo , Y. ( 2004 ). Robustness of weighted L ^p -depth and L ^p -median . POOLED SLICING METHODS VERSUS SLICING METHODS

We consider the semiparametric regression model introduced by [1] Duan, N. and Li, K. C. 1991. Slicing regression: a link-free regression method. The Annals of Statistics, 19: 505–530. [Crossref], [Web of Science ®] , [Google Scholar]. The dependent variable y is linked to the index x′ β through an unknown link function. [1] Duan, N. and Li, K. C. 1991. Sliced inverse regression for dimension reduction, with discussions. Journal of the American Statistical Association, 86: 316–342. [Taylor & Francis Online], [Web of Science ®] , [Google Scholar] present Slicing methods (the Sliced Inverse Regression methods SIR-I, SIR-II and SIR_α) in order to estimate the direction of the unknown slope parameter β. These methods are computationally simple and fast but depend on the choice of an arbitrary slicing fixed by the user. When the sample size is small, the number and the position of slices have an influence on the estimated direction. In this paper, we suggest to use the corresponding Pooled Slicing methods: PSIR-I (proposed by [3] Aragon, Y. and Saracco, J. 1997. Sliced Inverse Regression (SIR): an appraisal of small sample alternatives to slicing. Computational Statistics, 12: 109–130. [Web of Science ®] , [Google Scholar]), PSIR-II and PSIR_α. These methods combine the results from a number of slicings. We compare the sample behaviour of Slicing and Pooled Slicing methods on simulations. We also propose a practical choice of α in SIR_α and PSIR_α methods.

财政分权背景下的地方政府预算外收入扩张——基于中国省级面板数据的实证研究

本文对财政分权背景下我国地方政府预算外收入扩张的原因进行了理论分析,研究发现:地方政府预算外收入与辖区经济发展水平存在显著的负相关关系;与行政事业单位人员规模存在显著的正相关关系;与预算内财政支出存在显著的负相关关系;同时,在预算内财政支出既定时,预算外收入与转移支付规模存在显著的负相关关系。说明了分权改革后地方政府扩张预算外收入一方面在于弥补其财政支出的缺口;另一方面,由于预算外资金的收和支没有完全脱钩,行政事业单位改革的不彻底性,地方政府追求可自由裁量财政资源最大化的偏好等原因,进一步加剧了预算外收入的扩张。     

香港高等教育社会适应性办学模式的质量问题及其启示

香港高等教育进入普及教育阶段后,学校的发展采用社会适应性办学模式,其模式在处理数量与质量上有顾此失彼,转型初期出现了诸如生源、师资、素质教育等质量问题。在实施社会适应性办学模式过程中(尤其九七年香港回归后),政府各界与学校一道推进了改革,从教育目标、课程建设、合作交流等方向可窥视他们的大胆尝试。     

转型期中国农村区域消费水平与结构的实证分析

农村消费市场低迷是制约我国经济发展的主要因素。运用主成分聚类方法及Panel Data数据模型,结合1994—2003年的时序截面数据,对我国农村区域消费水平与结构的差异进行静态与动态分析。
